The grey quartz is a cool grey with a hint of lavender, while the grey birch is a lighter, warmer grey.

ETA: Actually, I am not positive that the grey quartz is darker than the grey birch, but I think it is.

I think as long as you pair it with cooler tones, Gray Quartz can be a year-round neutral. That's how I'm going to wear it, anyway!
