Regarding your question on the strap length being too short. I don't think so, you want this bag closer to you. If the strap were longer, I would be afraid of bumping this gorgeous leather into items. IMHO!

Great color! I have the speedy B emp infini in the size 30.
You can buy the "extender" - ask your SA at the LV store near you to try it out see if you like it longer. I think if you want to do crossbody, then I would get a longer strap, or extender.
