I used to hang out a lot in the LV/Chanel forum, but then lost interest in those brands and nowadays you can find me in Coach most of the time. I was surfing the blog one day, and saw this gorgeous bag in a post... sadly, by the time I clicked on the link to Saks it was already sold out! Long story short, I managed to track one down and ordered one on the phone. It's not perfect BUT since I'm so happy with the bag itself (and I'm glad I was able to find out before they completely sold out) I'm keeping it!
This bag is amazing IRL. Some of the photos online do it justice (a couple of photos on RM's Instagram for example) but the different colors are kind of hard to capture at once! In low lighting it's a deep metallic blue...then there's a seafoam green... and where the light shines directly, there's a green-golden ish yellow! The yellow is the hardest to capture on photos, even though I see it the most often. Maybe in sunlight it'll be different!
My husband was a little
when I unwrapped this...it's so different than what I typically buy (I'm a Chanel flap/structured tote/conservative bag kind of girl) but lately I've been looking at more unique bags to add to my conservative collection--more colors, more textures, more prints! I have nothing like this in my collection.
Anyway, enough typing... onto photos...
The yellow was much more prominent to my eyes when I snapped this photo...it doesn't translate here...
The material feels like plastic (not in a cheap kind of way, but it's not exactly supple) but it's surprisingly leather. I have no idea how they did this!
The closure is really cool...
