Hey Everyone,

I have an ever so slight gray/blue color transfer from either my jeans or black coat on my vanilla saffiano top zip tote. I caught it early and honestly, 99.9% of ppl looking at it won't see it but I do. With that said, I'd like to try the MK Leather Cleaner to see if it will help. Has anyone used this product and can offer feedback pleaseee? TIA!

Hello,

I purchased a black leather MK bag last christmas and only used it for special occasions. Well, this past week I decided to wear it out to dinner and I spilled Chinese food all over it (probably the worst possible thing to spill EVER!) I wiped it with a warm cloth and the leather turned all white and started becoming smooth. I immediately panicked and called MK however my 1 year warranty was up. A few days ago I happen to be passing by the MK store in the mall and thought I would ask if there was anything further I could do about my bag. The sales associate told me I could try using the MK leather cleaner but if it didn't work I could take it to a leather cleaning specialist. I purchased it for $10 and went home to give it a shot. It worked AMAZING!!!!! My bag looks BRAND NEW and you can not even tell I ever spilled anything on it. I definitely recommend this product. Hope this helps!

I purchased a black leather MK bag last christmas and only used it for special occasions. I've used the MK leather cleaner on my MK bags and my other bags. It seems to be heavy duty enough to wipe your bag clean and get off any color transfer, but with very lightweight formula that seems pretty gentle (it's very liquidy and smells like lemon!). I really like it, it's the only product I've used though so I can't really compare to anything else. I like that it can be used on a variety of different materials as well.

My mom bought a light brown, soft leather MK purse last year that she has literally carried every day since she bought it. Let me tell you that she is a super low maintenance woman who does not baby her bags! However, when she bought it she applied the MK protecting spray and I was honestly surprised how fresh looking the leather still looks after a year of constant abuse. I have witnessed her taking that bag on numerous business trips and planes, scratching it with her fingernails and keys, and in one instance dragging it accidentally along a rough concrete wall.... Haha it was cringe worthy, she is not gentle! She recently bought the new formula to clean it after using it for so long - it had slight darkening on the bottom and several pen marks. After using that new MK conditioning stuff it looks almost brand new. Considering that she never pampered her bag or ever cleaned it in the past year, I would say that it speaks highly of their cleaning/protecting supplies...and also the overall quality of Michael Kors handbags!

The MK Rain and Stain Repellent is really great! I use it on all my bags, not only MK. It's a wonderful investment for $10. You can only get it through MK online or the boutiques, however. I haven't tried the leather cleaner but may get some after reading these positive reviews.

oh my thank you so much for this. I took my old MK to a leather cleaner and he could not clean it. I thought it was a lost cause and the bag has been hanging in the closet ever since...Now I may have one last glimmer of home! I didn't even know about the MK leather cleaner!

My MK Selma is in the mail as we speak, should be here on wednesday! I ordered from Zappos rather than from Michael Kors so I was not able to buy the leather rain and stain repellent like I had planned. What is everyones experience with the saffiano leather, should I get the MK rain and stain repellent? is there another brand of better repellent? I would like my bag to be an everyday bag and be as durable as possible which was partially why I choose saffiano!

I have the same concern as well. I currently have 2 MK handbags in saffiano leather (hamilton tote in color luggage and the selma messenger in color pearl grey) I have applied the rain and stain repellent to both saffiano bags. I had no issues with the hamilton but i did start to notice that after i applied the repellent to the pearl grey selma, it left a light yellow tint to it and it's not from my clothing (didn't notice anything on the hamilton bc the color was luggage so can't see/tell). Has anyone ever seen/experience this after using the repellent on a lighter colored handbag( (like optic white, vanilla, pearl grey, etc)? I exchanged it for another one because of the yellow tint (and also it had a weird dent on the front and what seemed like glue that both wouldn't go away). The new selma messenger looks a lot better, but now I'm hesitant to apply the rain and stain repellent because I don't want the same thing to happen again. So to start, I only applied the repellent to the BOTTOM to see if it happens again. we'll see.

Has anyone noticed that it doesn't say anything about saffiano leather on the bottles? I used them on my neon pink Hamilton and I got black color transfer... I even felt like the repellant helped the color transfer happen... I don't know!

Yes I've noticed it doesn't mention that the cleanser/repellent is safe to use on saffiano leather.This makes me more hesitant to use on my saffiano leather, especially after your story!

It's quite frustrating I don't know how to get this product via online, I live in Indonesia
