Best site to sell luxury brands?

Thanks LVoeShopping for mentioning Ann's...but don't think she's accepting Coach (...?)--unless you've heard otherwise--'coz that'd be great if she is--please feel free to post or PM me if you've heard any updates regarding Coach and Ann's, kay...

They used to, I just called and was told that they aren't accepting Coach any longer and that all Coach inventory is "old" inventory. Sorry! I didn't know they stopped taking them

Also try Couture USA, they are out of FL and they do accept Coach

I never had any problems selling my bags on eBay.

Hi BellevueLady--so good to hear you've had no issues selling your bags on the Bay. May I ask please--how long have you been selling and would that include selling LV, Coach and such...? I wanna have a positive frame of mind about selling on the Bay, Bonanza, (online) but as I mentioned earlier (and I know its not with every sale--Thank Goodness) but reading about the buyer scams happening/that have happened to our fellow TPF'ers really is off-putting/sad...

How do you "bullet-proof" yourself (to your best abilities) to ward-off the scammers...? If you'd prefer to PM me with those tips or post for everyone that'd be greatly appreciated--and I believe there are other threads with info like this but would be great to hear your personal tips (recent--if any) if that's okay...Thank You in advance.

Thanks for the speedy update LVoeShopping about Ann's ...also with Couture USA--have you had any personal experience selling Coach with them/how'd you find out about them please...? BTW--just saw your Coach Collection--SO GORGEOUS...!

I have bought from Couture USA before, not sold but I would consider them if I was planning to consign, the offer a 70/30 which seems reasonable considering all the fees you pay selling on eBay. I found them when I was doing a specific search for a pair of shoes I was looking for, I would buy from them again  Thank you for viewing my collection :hugs:

I sold items on Ebay last year for a client. Xxxx.
She brought me the dustbag covers after I already sold the items.
You are not allowed to sell these on EBay without the actual bag.
Is there any place to sell them. They are authentic. Thanks.

I see dust bags sold separately all the time on ebay and for ridiculous money. I didn't even know it was not allowed.

I've had my auctions pulled twice on Ebay as a prohibited item. See my email below from Ebay. I've seen them sold too so that why I put mine out. I'm the one that got busted by Ebay police though. They say the manufacturer doesn't sell them seperate. But if you bought a bag and wore it out, you would have the dust cover, no?

The listing was removed because it violated eBay policy.

We do not allow the sale of the following branded items: boxes, dust bags, tins, hang tags, pouches, shopping bags, and polishing cloths. For a safer buying and selling experience on eBay, we prohibit listings for certain products that may be used to facilitate the sale of counterfeit items or enable fraud. While we realize that there may be a market for these types of items, we have made the decision to not allow them to be sold without their original accompanying product. Please do not relist this item unless the original accompanying product is also sold with it.

I collect dolls and many doll collectors buy/sell and trade dolls. Its quite a large community. There is a doll page site that someone created and you can list your dolls to sell there and you can buy. It has a rating system where people leave feedback for good buys/sells etc. there is no fee for selling or buying-its just personal transaction between two people. I've sold and bought several dolls and have had nothing but good experiences...too bad those of us who love Coach bags can't do the same thing--to sell/buy/trade our quality bags

I think this is a great idea and cant see why tpf dont allow it. It would be so much easier when its all trustworthy ladies with the same interest in bags...
I understand there are a lot of scams go on with ebay and it seriously puts me off buying a bag on there...Half the time I dont believe they even send the bag they are showing on their listing.
I would definately buy a bag on ebay though if I KNEW it was from a fellow tpfer...so why cant we do it on this forum?
We could all be safe in the knowledge that we are buying/ selling/swapping from a trustworthy source and... no fees

TPF actually has a "marketplace" where people buy and sell or trade. But I think it got out of hand, and they stopped admitting new members a couple of years ago. Actually I'm not sure if they stopped completely, or if it's just a slow process, but I know there was a very long waiting list. Maybe someone can update us on that?

Please don't think that all tPF members sell genuine merchandise. Not only is it possible for someone to unknowingly sell a fake because they're not experienced with the brand or never had the item authenticated, but there are more than enough crooks on selling and auction sites who claim to be tPF members. Some are - there have been many times when a tPF member has knowingly sold fakes. There's no "honesty check" that you have to pass to join these forums, any slimeball can become a member and hide behind that "tPF member" cover until they're eventually found out. And since most members here don't use the same IDs they use on Ebay or other sites, how would you know who's lying and who isn't?

Don't ever depend on something being authentic unless it's been authenticated by one of the specialists here.

I guess your right there Hyacinth...I never thought it through properly. I thought it was only us handbag obsessed people who would join tpf...I guess not
I have just asked for authentication on a couple of bags ...hope you can help

I would not recommend eBay for selling Coach ... Their fees are outrageous & buyers are rude!

I had over $50 in fees from them & my stuff went for wayyy less than outlet prices
