I've been on the hunt for a leather pencil case. I really love this robins egg blue one seen here:pencil_cases_leather-brights.jpg but I live in the US and they only ship to Australia. I want something that is a quality piece and will hold up. I see a bunch on eBay, but they are mostly synthetic leather or nothing special. I'm looking for a cute color.. so not black or brown in the shape I showed with the zipper top..but nothing too cutesy, so I'm not embarrassed to put it on the desk at a meeting. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

What about a Herz pencil case? They're a small Japanese leather company that makes every leather good by hand (that's why it takes 2-3 weeks after order since they only make the goods as they're ordered):

I personally own a Herz pencil case (the one in the first link in tan) and I can vouch for their quality. The price is really reasonable too considering how each one is made by hand. They have fantastic bags too =)

They don't have any retailers in the US, but you can order their goods through Rakuten (a Japanese online store that has international shipping). If you scroll down the page of the links I posted above, you'll see a "ship to an international address" option =)

One of just many things I love about Herz is that all of their bags are designed by the workers who make them. They're made with functionality in mind, and they're work horses. I've had my pencil case for over two years and it's still going strong (with many more years left ^^).

I use a LAMB cosmetic pouch for my pens/pencils. Coated canvas with a nice lining, they come in a variety of prints (some more edgy than others). I think the retail price was around $100 but I got it at Winners for $35 or so. I have the Mandalay print which looks like a newspaper with black ink spilled on it, which I thought was cute for pens.
