My mono speedy is only a month old and I carried it today and got some light rain drops on the vachetta!!! Hgchhhjjkkbkhvj!!! My heart sank in as soon as I saw it!

I'm sorry that happened, but it'll be okay. When the vachetta develops patina, the little water spots won't show.

Its just water...it wont hurt it. It will fade when its dry..even if you get anything else on the leather. as the leather gets darker any minor "flaws" blend in.

Its not as bad but i just hate that its ruined! Hopefully it will blend in later on.

It will still be wonderful. One of my LV mono bags was rained on, developed spots, and is still one of my favorite bags. I think of them as "character marks" not unlike crow's feet wrinkles. I was very sad and upset when it first happened, but as the years went by, more marks developed, and it is more gorgeous to me now than on the day I bought it. Don't worry, Speedy's look more beautiful as the years go on, warts and all. Ten years from now, you'll still love that bag.
