Does the red glaze on the edge of vachetta eventually peel off?

I am asking because I'm looking at a preloved cabas piano and noticed there is no red glaze left anywhere on the bag (or it was never there and the bag is fake). The datecode says it was made in 2005. Any help is appreciated.

Hi Ive NEVER heard of the red sealing removing or peeling! I would just for POM have authenticated! And if it is real maybe send to LV to get some TLC especially if it was made 2005! ;)
 
Thank you Bag*Snob. I actually found another discrepancy in the bag - it doesn't have the stitching on the bottom of the bag, like in this picture that I found in the clubhouse in the "Cabas Club" post.


Yes it does. Depending on the thickness, it will wear off or can peel off.
