I'm so sad. I have the most lovely cranberry Faridah I got on eBay a couple of years ago. The color is perfectly me, and the leather is divine. The problem is, ever since I used my LV Neverfull for like a year straight, I can't carry shoulder bags. I'm 25, and I was getting these random spasms down my back so I switched to a handbag. I busted out my Faridah a few weeks ago, and wore it for 2 days with like NOTHING in it, to keep it as light as possible, and sure enough, my back started to be sore constantly.

Should I keep because I love it? Is there a Groovee or something Speedy 30 sized that comes in the cranberry color? Maybe I should sell it and use the cash towards a new bag. I'm totally conflicted.

do you have a pic of the cranberry bag you have?

i would advice you to seek medical care for your spasm, because it sucks to not be able to carry a shoulder bag (Assuming you dont over stuff it). i too have had multiple back spasms in the past, where i couldnt even walk for 1 week straight. i see a regular chiropractor and have no problem ever since. but i do tend to be aware not to carry heavy stuff including a handbag. hope that helps.

how about seeing a physical therapist? thats another option too, the therapist may be able to figure out whats causing it and suggest a few stretches or exercises for you.

as weffendy said, you should get yourself checked out. spasms from carrying a shoulder bag is definitely not normal and could lead to something worse in the future. and the faridah isn't that heavy to begin with, right? if a medical professional fixes you up, you won't have to sell your cranberry faridah or look for a replacement.

I think the faridah is heavy, personally. The leather is substantial.
I say use a pretty hand-held or arm-held bag while you get your back taken care of. ;)

I love this forum! "I think I can help, but I need to see a photo of the purse" :P

i personally think the faridah is a cute bag. if you're looking for a hand-held purse, i'd recommend you get the westside. there have been some photos posted on the forum:

thats the regular quilting westside that nascar_fan has. it doesnt come in red in the regular quilting. if you want something in red, theres the lacquered quilting in bordeaux

here is a pic of the lacquered westside in black (part of the F/W 2010 collection)

just to give you an idea of what the bordeaux color looks like in the lacquered quilting:

another good option is carla in bordeaux (part of the F/W 2010 collection). the link shows it in black

fall releases little carla as well (smaller dimension), MJ boutiques, however, did not order these in bordeaux. only black and brown. retails for $950
