No Craftsman ID on my Birkin

Hi everyone, i've just received my Birkin Bag (my sister bought for me in US), and was a little suprised that there s no craftsman ID on the strap, only letter and the second is a production year letter. Is this normal, does anyone know what is the reason? Thanks, Appreciate your help

Hi kimlim, do you know where your sister purchased it from? If this's from the Hermes boutique, you have nothing to worry about.

Hi, thank you for your reply Queenie, yes she bought it from the Hermes Store, its definitely authentic, just don't understand what is the reason it doesn't have a number, only two letter. Tried to call Paris, but store not opened yet, will try to call again later. I dont mind not to have the ID, but I have to know why.

Maybe they're changing stuff around to thwart the fakes.

Not all items have numbers on them. Most of my Hermes craftsman stamps are letters with no numbers, it is nothing unusual.

just don't understand what is the reason it doesn't have a number, only two letter.
