I was wondering if anyone knew how the 2 different sizes of the new sunday tote compare to the old shopper/shopping bag (the tote not the purse style, I can never remember which is the shopper and which is the shopping).

I am approximately 5ft 9in and wanted to see if I should get a medium or large sunday tote.

I just added some pictures to the RL

I couldn't find a Sunday compared to a shopper but I thought I've seen one. Maybe I am imagining things.. Anyway, I'd say that the Shopper is right in between a Small & Medium Sunday...

I am 5'6 and the S/M Sunday works perfectly for me!

There hasn't been one I've seen and I've been waiting and waiting for somebody to do one.

I'm going to say get the large Sunday. As someone with 5 shopping totes I was interested in the Sunday, it's a lovely bag - but very different from the old shopping.

Shopping:
Longer handles, over the shoulder wear mostly, sides that are the same width all the way around, a slouchier hug-your-body feel.

Large Sunday: (which I tried at department store):
Shorter handles, I'm 5'5 and fine boned and it wouldn't work for me as an over the shoulder bag. More of a triangle on the sides: fatter bottom, skinnier top, a more hefty thicker feel to the bag.

It just depends on what you want from the bag. Some people might not like the longer handles (over the shoulder wear) of the old shoppers, while I couldn't deal with a tote that I'd have to hold exclusively as a crook-of-the-arm bag.

HTH!

I was able to get the Sunday over my shoulder no problem but I'll admit, I have pretty small arms.. I do think the handles will stretch over time as well, like all other styles.

This is a great bag and I personally like the look of the Sunday best, JMO.
