I have been visiting the hobo shoulder bag in red (see link for color) and thought I was in love! Yesterday another lady in the store said a red bag that big would be too hard to match and I would never be able to wear it- that it would look "fake and cheap" without the right outfit. I really want a classic purse (and don't really care about being matchy?, but is she right? I already have nice black, brown, and beige channel bags. I really want to branch out into prada. Honest thought?

I think if you kept your clothes neutral and not too flashy, this red bag would do well. Let it be the center of attention, and not compete.
And the bag's not too big, so it should be ok. I like it better than the black one ;)

it is actually this hobo- but in the red color of the tote. I really don't have that many red clothes- more blues- browns, I do wear print tops at times (to tell the truth, I am not much of a clothes person, just handbags!) I tend to get a good bag to just wear with whatever.

what she told me was I could only wear it w/ black or white- or a shirt that had some red- it was not an easy to wear color- I just don't want to spend that kind of money on something that I won't be able to wear often.

Pish tosh! You love it? Buy it. End of story. Who cares what anyone else says.

It takes balls to wear a red handbag. Clearly that woman was lacking.
