Biggest GISN ever!!! - REVEAL

Wow, it looks pretty IRL! No offense but on some of the stock pics, it looked kinda wrinkly. No wrinkles at all! Just beautiful bronze nebula! Congrats Dede!!

Thank you everyone for your enthusiastic comments. I am so totally ga-ga over this bag, I can just say thanks, and hopefully not sound rude when I say ITA w/ you all!!

Responding specifically to Kris ^^, again, ITA. Almost every stock pic I've seen of a Nebula satchel style bag has been wrinkly and also kind of streaky looking. The one stock pic that helped sway me is on Neiman's site, Leave the Light On, the "additional photos" pic, and it's TDF.

When I saw that MHB had this back in Bronze, I was still in decision making mode, but both Ashley and Alex looked at it personally, after 1st assuring me that they would never put a returned bag back in stock if there was a problem w/ it, and they both told me it was really nicely, evenly coloured. Apparently the original incarnation of Nebula (a season or two ago??) was somewhat streaky, but this is just ... just ... words fail me (me? words fail? HA!).

So, I've been told, and have said myself, you can never have too many photos in a reveal, but I may have crossed the line this time. I took about 35!!!, and edited it down to 20 good ones! This bag is just so incredible. The 2nd last pic up thread really does come close to the IRL colour, but Nebula's another hard to pin down colour in photos, as several others have found!

Anyway, tune out if it gets excessive, but ... onward!

Here she is trying to sit up on her own. Aww, so sweet. This leather, as so many have said, is soooo light and thin, but definitely not flimsy. This bag is soft and smooshy like you wouldn't believe. This pic doesn't get the colour as well as the one upthread.

Jest hangin' around. Doesn't she have the greatest detailing? As a "less is more" gal when it comes to embellishment on a bag, I luuuv this one, and I like the soft wide leather handles better than the narrow straps on the Leave the Light On.

Separate post for a really neat feature of this bag. There's a little looped strap on each side of the bag, each w/ a slit that goes over a little knob, but they're not just decorative. The loop opens up, and the ring that the long crossbody strap clips onto comes out, and it totally changes the shape of the bag - even gives you a few extra inches length cross body. I've tried to photograph the process - hope it makes sense!

Here's the loop closed, w/ the ring tucked down inside.

Hm, I missed taking a pic w/ the loop open, but I've opened it now, taken the ring out, and put the post back through the slit.

And here you can see that the crossbody loop is way up high, turning the corner of the bag up, instead of tucked down (and dang, I also should have shown this from the front!)

Say "Hi!" Willow! I've tucked the crossbody strap back down into the side loop. You can see that it's really loooong. Actually, I'm going to have to pop a few more holes into it because using the long strap as a shoulder strap (the handles really don't have a long enough drop for shoulder wear - unless you're wearing a sleeveless top and have really skinny upper arms!), the bag hangs down low on my hip. That's an easy fix though, and I held it up higher - just tucked the strap - and it's great.

A couple now trying to show the leather. You can see how beautifully smooth it is, and get a bit of an idea of the irridescense I mentioned earlier, but the colour's off. It's a bit lighter, and in natural light it has a slight greenish undertinge, which I like, and which is not unlike a hint of the natural patina which actual coppers and bronzes can take on.

Just love this strap detailing. It's about the only embellishment on the bag, and for my taste, it's perfect.

More yummy Nebula goodness.

And a couple of the interior. Mmmm, purple.

Gratuitous bag porn: A repeat of the best colour shot.

It's funny, when I ended up deciding on this one, I said to Alex that I'd been thinking about getting a satchel, I just didn't know it would be *this* satchel. I'm so glad it is. If there are any wine-y, deep red type colour lovers contemplating the Bordeaux still on sale at MHB, I highly recommend it!, or if you can find this Bronze anywhere, GIT IT!

OMG the purple lining is a great addition! I seriously want to touch this bag SO much! So so so gorgeous and I'm glad you listened to me early on when I said we LOVE photos! This thread is incredible!!!!!

Hi Willow! And, I adore your stash of tanos on the exercise equipment! lol ;)

OMG!!! Dede that bag is BEE-YOU-T-FUL!!!

I have a bronze second skin and I adore it...matter of fact I think you are making me want to bring her out tomorrow!!

I agree with you that it took my breath away...I ordered it as a second thought and really thought, well I can return it if I do not like it...and when I got it with another bag...I ended up adoring the second skin and sent the other one back! LOL!

Anyways, that was a long winded way to say she is gorgeous and wear her well my dear!

I haven't had the heart to tuck them all up into their dustbags and put them away yet (there are still 2 on the dining area table, one on a doorknob, + the three on the Tony Little Gazelle), but sadly, that's the only thing the Gazelle's been used for, for about a month now!! It's decorative though! And I promise you TK, if you lived nearby, I'd totally let you come over and touch her .

Odebdo

Thanks, Odeb, and thanks for the laugh. You?, long winded? Hello, have you met me?

Yes, do, get yours out and enjoy her. They're amazing, aren't they!

p.s., how do you do a proper multi quote post? I'm just improvising here, but I've seen it done - may have even done it myself once, but I can't quite figure it out now???

Dede, those pics of her hanging off the exerciser are just TDF. Someone needs to tell NM to get a better photographer. Crap, now you are making me think I need a bronze boogie as well!!!!

Hey, this isn't the Mindful thread; I'll just go ahead and say it ... YES, YOU DO!!!

Actually, I'm so in love with wearing my 1st Boogie the last couple days, and so in love w/ this Bronze Nebula, *I've* had more than one thought of getting a Bronze Boogie, too!!

ETA: I totally agree about whoever's doing those stock pics. TOS used the same one as Neiman's main stock photo for the Leave the Light On, and it left me cold till I saw Neiman's alternate pic.

The button to the right of the 'quote' button is for multiquote.. you just click them on as many posts as you'd like to reply to, then click "post reply" and then reply to them!

LOL!!! (Sigh of relief) NM is sold out of bronze boogies, just looked! (yeah, I really shouldn't be looking but I couldn't help myself!)

Ya know, I've been on this forum for what, almost 2 years and I NEVER knew that second button was multiquote. I usually open 2 windows of TPF, highlight quotes and cut and paste for multiquotes. You learn something new every day! Thanks Tyger!

Haha no problem! For the past... ummm year or so that's what you had to do anyways; because after one of the updates multiquote was broken! It's only been back for a few weeks.

Thanks for teaching us a new trick TK!!

DeDe, could you post a modeling pic of your lovely GISN bag??

I would love to see the bag filled with your things to see how it hangs. TIA!!

I love the bordeaux colour and if they ahd the Boogie in it, the bag would have been mine lol.
