I need ideas, girls (and boys :P)! What kind of cake would be good for a bachelorette party? Non-graphic, please. I consulted google, but I really don't want anything shaped like or pertaining to any part of the male anatomy lol.

Does anyone have any ideas for what it should say/ what it should look like/ what flavor, etc?? The bride is not picky... I just don't want something dirty-- I want something cute, girly and fun! :cutesy:

Any ideas? TIA

I really hate the graphic cakes. I know some love them, but, well, just gross to me.
Anyway, some ideas I like:

I saw some really cool ones that had kind of a lace like look too on a colored fondant or butterflies and flowers that were so pretty. I think depending on the bride, maybe that is nice. I think I'd pick her favorite colors for the cake and for cake flavors, ditto!

HTH!

Thanks for the ideas, girls!

These are more along the lines of what I was thinking. I have to figure out now if this is something I can make or need to custom order it... Some of the other girls who will be there are a little wild, so I'm not worried about offending anyone with the cake, the bride is just sooo not the type to appreciate a raunchy party. I think it would really embarrass her, which isn't what I'm going for. I just want her to think it's cute/fun!

Oh pretty! I really like the second link to the cake with the pink and brown dots. A chocolate cake with strawberry filling would be heavenly! Best of luck planning the tasteful party!

How about -
Mini cupcakes in several flavors. Each one with a girl's toy wedding ring in the top. Quick and easy to ice if you use an icing gun.

I say mini so each gal can enjoy a few flavors instead of just one. I love mini cakes and petit fours!

Plus -
Take a look thru the sticky thread on this subforum - cakes of every state. Not that you would do a state cake but there are some great decorating ideas.

Hmm... that's a good point! I know a lot of people refuse cake b/c they don't want the calories or whatever, but very few people refuse mini treats

Cookies are a good idea too! Plus, I'm much better at cookies than cake. I'm not the most talented cake decorator, but I made some marshmallow fondant today to practice & surprisingly I seem to do better with fondant than icing for some reason :confused1:

My sister's vote was to these cupcakes in blue (bride's wedding color) and with 2 birds/owls each http://www.flickr.com/photos/hello_naomi/3042743224/in/set-72157609402790138/
Super cute, but they might be a little complicated for my skill level though? :s

My mom's idea is to just buy a generic bakery cake and have them write "Congratulations Mrs. Xxxxx"

ive seen sugar cookies that look like bustiers, bras, and panties that are cute and not too raunhy but a little naughty/sexy/fun

I did a bustier cake one time for a bach. party that was Moulin Rouge themed. It was a lingerie party, so the bustier cake fit the bill. You can make it at home...take a sheet cake and just cut out the sides to make the torso. for the breasts you can make two cupcakes then shave them down into circles and ice them to blend in....

another idea is to have a "wild theme"... and decorate in safari, cheeta, zebra print. cake can be a normal sheet cake then just decorate with brown icing and add black cheeta spots. you can write the bride's name in pink for a girly touch.

Those owl/bird cupcakes are adorable! Love those! I don't know about Congrats Mrs. X though... I guess if she's traditional and actually going to change her last name and use the Mrs. title that might be okay? IDK, it is kind of dull though by itself. Maybe some pretty flowers or something w/ that if you do that idea?

^ Yeah, I agree it's boring! As far as I know she is changing her name, but it's just sooo generic. I've known this girl all my life. I feel like I need something somewhat more personal! :P
