Keep Getting Defectives

I had a very similar online purchase experience, same bag and all, except for me the first issue was the leather on the bottom. It had a weird, thin bit, which looked like it could tear at any moment. I queried it with the store, and they sent me pics of another one they had in stock, so I agreed to send it back, at my expense, for an exchange. Upon receiving the replacement, it was absolutely not the same one as the picture they sent, and it had a large scratch on the back. They paid for the return shipping for that one, I asked for a refund instead and thought that perhaps a designer handbag was not for me.

I did end up taking another chance though, as I later saw it on sale at a local department store. I still had to purchase online, but thankfully the one I received was perfect.

I hope you were able to get a good quality one eventually! It really is such a lovely bag, especially in the grey.

First time doing this so please take it easy on me.

I'm wondering if I got really lucky on my purse hunt yesterday. I'd like to think I have an eye for Vintage Gucci but I stand humble before you:smile:View attachment 4784846View attachment 4784846View attachment 4784847View attachment 4784848View attachment 4784849

Help me find out the name of this LV purse, please!

Hey guys,

I’ve been trying to find this exact LV purse that a friend of a friend has. She doesn’t know what it’s called as it was passed on to her from her mom. Does anybody know what it may be called?
Hope you can help!

Disinfecting leather bags

I try to keep custody of my bags. Usually wearing nylon backpacks or smaller bags so that they don't bump into people or things which may have the virus. I try to keep my hands clean when out. When I return home, i wash my hands and remove the items. Then I set the bag aside for a few days. If it's something that can be wiped down, i do it. No way am I wearing my best bags. That means basically either nylon or pebble leather which can can take cleaning. I try to just take the bare minimum with me: sanitizer, mask, wallet, shopping bag, keys, glasses. The fewer items you take out, the fewer you have to clean later. Does a woman really need to carry ten lipsticks, 5 pens, etc, with the kitchen sink? If you're back in the workplace, it's a different story.

Help me pick my second bracelet to stack!

I work in construction so the JUC was perfect as a symbol of my work, but due to the profile of the nail head I don't think I'd be able to wear while I'm working. The Love is so compact that it doesn't get in the way. Like I said, being a guy my situation is probably different as far as 24/7 wear. Like you, I don't want any jewelery I need to remember to take off and put back on. The JUC is a beautiful piece. As far as plating WG diamond Love's, and probably JUC's for that matter, are plated with rhodium which makes them very shiny more like YG and RG. Non diamond are not plated and after a while start to look more like stainless steel, which isn't bad, just different. My first Love was WG and I didn't notice the change until I got a YG, then the WG looked dull. I compared it to my wife's WG with diamonds and I saw the difference. I did a little research and discovered the plating issue. I ended up sending my WG back to Cartier to be plated and now it looks great. Some people like the dull look and it's not bad on it's own kind of an industrial look.

Thank you for your reply! Maybe I didn’t do my research well enough but why aren’t you able To wear your JUC 24/7? Is it uncomfortable?
Also, what does it mean to get the WG plated?

eBay locked ID after 21 years - who to contact?

I've had the same eBay ID for 21 years as a buyer and seller with over 600 positive feedback. When logging in a few weeks ago, I got a message about verifying my ID. Problem was, they had an email address and phone number from 10 years ago both of which are no longer valid. When I contacted customer support, I explained the situation and was told sorry but you have to set up a new ID. Argh! A couple of days ago, I decided to try eBay's online chat with customer support. I spent an hour with three different people. I told them, look at the email address used to bill me for fees and use that one. Nope, no dice. The last person disconnected the chat before it was resolved.

Is there any way to reach higher level support at eBay, hopefully, someone with half a brain?
Were you ever able to get your ebay account restored?

Cartier Certificate

I asked a SA why some Love collection items come with a regular COA while other Love pieces have the Love collection referenced in the COA. She said the boutiques often receive only a limited supply of Love collection COAs and the eBoutique often has many more Love collection COAs to distribute with sold pieces.
I made my first online purchase for a love collection item and it came with a standard COA without any Love wording. The serial number is correct but I was a bit let down it’s not specific to love.

First VCA piece - could use some advice!

My first piece of VCA is the GMOP pendant and I love it to bits. However, MOP in general is much more delicate than rose gold (or gold), so if you are planning to clean it yourself regularly, I wouldn’t suggest wearing it to work at all.
Before I get mine, I have considered getting the guilloche one. But when I tried it, it just doesn’t spark joy as much as the GMOP. Even wearing my necklace may sometimes worry me (I have ruined a Bulgari MOP necklace), I still get whatever sings to me. And now I love my pendant to bits!
