I need some serious help! I recently bought a gorgeous red Chanel jumbo in Lamb (ruthenium hardware), 19 series. Because I am obsessed with this particular red and the shade paired with ruthenium, I had to buy pre-loved of course, which I never ever have done before with Chanel (too risky, imo). I went with Fashionphile and paid $4835, and may have paid a bit of a premium because I did want the reassurance of being able to return and have had good experiences with the company in the past both selling my own bags and purchasing. BUT, the bag I purchased was redyed from Chanel. I knew this going in, but I was not expecting the redye to change the lamb so much. Honestly, the bag looks INCREDIBLE, the most gorgeous, saturated red ever, and the structure and everything else is completely pristine. I also don't actually mind the texture of the lamb now that I've gotten used to it......seems more durable and I certainly do plan to use this bag often and am not the biggest fan of having to baby my lambies, though of course I do anyway.

I'm a Chanel purist, and I'm trying to get over the fact it's been redyed. Am I crazy? Should I just use and enjoy the bag regardless of whether it has been repainted? Does anyone have experience with the longevity/durability of redyed lamb? I have scoured every single post on redying I can find but really need that specific question answered if any of you know. Did I pay too much for a redyed bag? I know prices have obviously soured out of control on the resale market. I'm well aware.

I do not have photos of the bag available with me to post, but it is truly stunning.

This is quite a niche question but I’m hoping someone can answer it! I just purchased a vintage LV Monte Carlo travel jewelry case, and I am wondering if the travel pouches for VCA bracelet are too long to fit inside? I am planning to buy my first bracelet later this year and I’d rather not invest in the travel case if it won’t hold my most precious pieces. The measurement of the travel case is just over 22 cm long, and the measurements I could find for the bracelet pouch (based on eBay listings) is also 22 cm. If anyone has these two items and could confirm if the bracelet pouch fits, or if someone could confirm the length of the bracelet pouch, I would greatly appreciate it!

I would say Speedy 30 would be a safer choice if you have to fit your switch. I have a Speedy 30 but it’s not currently with me so I’m afraid that I can’t actually put a switch in it to test this out for you. The website does mention that a 30 is about 11.8” long and a 25 is less than 10. It is possible to fit one diagonally in a 25, based on pure math haha. Hope this helps!

I’m looking for the reversible belt with silver hardware and want the kind with a “pin” buckle...not sure what you call it...like a Hermes or Gucci belt that you just push through the hole, not the kind like the Anderson above. I used to have a Ferragamo and am kicking myself now for selling it. It’s proving almost impossible to find the right color combination belt and silver hardware buckle, and I’d prefer it not to be a recognized logo. Hermes does have options besides their classic H buckle but I really didn’t want to spend that much as I don’t wear belts frequently.

I found a leather maker in Singapore called Matt Lucas who does custom options and he gets positive reviews. Anyone heard of him?

I have the Gucci Ghost Marmont card holder that I've had now for four-ish years. I think it's held up pretty nicely. I didn't baby it either. I think the only thing I've noticed is that mine lost its shape slightly.

If there is no door person or individual authorized to sign for your parcel at a welcome desk, the delivery may be attempted the next business day or you may have to pick up the package at a nearby outpost. You can also try to change the shipping address or have your item re-delivered to an address that will have someone available to sign for it.

With the exception of a few bags (eg classic flap black and beige, boy bag in black) all other colours are seasonal and that particular colour / style is only released for that season and never comes back.

i believe this is the reason why resellers can charge very close to or above retail.

If I find a particular colour and style I want, I would have to go the pre-loved route.
