Help me choosing a bag: black or blue?
Thanks for your reply . I’m happy you have said it’s more durable than you thought. Yes, I’ve heard about the leather and look at a few. Everyone likes different things, but I’d like my quilts puffy.I've had my lambskin CF for almost a year and I would say it's more durable than I thought. I've seen very few scratches and I was able to buff them out fairly easily. The leather still looks very shiny and holds the color well. And the quilts are puffy (i think nowadays Chanel lambskin varies hugely in quality, so if you decide to go for lambskin maybe it's better to check different bags' leather, quilting, etc. first). I don't baby my bags too much but I always make sure to rotate them. I also store and stuff this lambskin bag more carefully (in dust bag and wrap the chain with cloths to make sure it won't leave any dents on the bag). It definitely takes more efforts but I think it's worth doing those to protect such an expensive bag. On the other hand caviar is so carefree and might be better for day to day uses. I would say try out both and follow your heart and go with what's best for your lifestyle. Good luck deciding!
How often would you say you use your CF?
i store all My bags just like you do, so I’d do the same with CF etc, it’s not so much that side of it, it’s more, can’t relax when out in case the bags catches a door, or someone walks into me, being careful where to put it when out etc.
if I follow my heart I’ll end up with lambskin. It’s so beautiful. I’m just worried I would regret it down the line ie if it scuffs easy on the corners and quilts deflate. I’m finding it hard to find out from CF owners how it wears in lambskin, I get very mixed responses, like yours up to don’t touch it with a barge pole get caviar only, etc.
can I also ask how iS your boy holding up? It’s calfskin yes? I hear this is better than lambskin.
I sincerely doubt this is a first!

I've seen this before but cant remember what country right now. The hotel had a boutique that sold LV and a few other brands and had me raising my eyebrow.Nice to know my suspicions weren't unfounded.

my first Birkin, I scored a size 35 bleu electrique Togo PHW in Paris during a holiday.
I have been building up relationship with local store, I want my second Birkin, a smaller one, size 30, bright lipstick red, GHW, any leather would do but prefer the lighter side, don't mind exotic!
Same here. I wanted to go for my favorite pop colours first for a B as they are limited and save the neutrals for later. My first B is an Ultraviolet with PHW as I wanted something in blue, green or purple. My second is the one in my avatar, my holy grail Blue Paon with GHW. The third one I got (this time preloved) is gold with PHW and am currently on the hunt for a black, dark blue or dark grey with GHW. That being said, my very first H bag at all is a BBK32 with GHW, so it's not entirely true I aimed only for pop colours at the start.
