Vintage Speedy Vachetta

Hi Everyone☺️

I've just purchased a vintage speedy 40 from 1995 but there is some slight water spots on the chaps, the canvas is in amazing condition for it's age. But I was wondering would anyone have any recommendations about a leather conditioner to use? Or if you would even use one? The water spots don't bother me overly, but I've seen some amazing before and afters on YouTube of vintage pieces with just a little TLC.

Thank you in advance ☺️

How versatile is the Pochette Metis Reverse..?

I have reverse mono pm. I didn’t want mono purely for the vachetta so if they did mono with black leather instead of vachetta I think I would‘ve got that one as I feel mono is slightly more versatile than reverse. I haven’t had a problem with it clashing with clothes but I wear quite plain things. I’m not sure if it will go with my winter check coat but maybe I won’t care when the winter arrives!
Thanks Jelly Baby! :)

SLGs that fit into the Mini pochette?

In an ideal world I would want to make it fit my rosalie, cles, round coin purse, a cushion foundation, and a lipstick. But I know I'm asking for too much lol. I've been really reluctant to buy it because I'm afraid I won't use it if it's too small (as a wristlet, I'm sure I'd still use it as a catch-all but I already have many)

Does anyone know if it would fit the rosalie, a cushion foundation, and a lipstick? Is that too ambitious?

SO BLACK OWNERS: how are your bags holding up?

For cf's, not every season. I wish it did :amuse:
Thank you so much for answering! I really want to purchase my first Chanel and I definitely want a So Black Classic Flap. I'm just not sure I like the shiny, crumpled calfskin from this season. I hope Chanel will release something similar to the caviar on the So Black Coco Handle.

Please help me decide between rouge h b30 or k32

Hello everyone! So I got offered a k28 with gold togo. But I needed turning it down.. because I felt the style was a bit mature and dressy. Shortly after I got offered b30 rouge h togo with gold. This one felt right. More causal.
Congrats on your B30! It’s my favorite size! Hope to see action pics soon!

Buying a used Cartier - taking to store?

Would Cartier have grounds to deny service of a piece purchased second hand? Even if you don't mention it, they will see a different name on file when they verify the serial number. That would be difficult to deny. Or would it be possible to change the name on file? Also, how does one verify the piece is not stolen?

With JUC and Love bracelets commonly needing mechanism repairs, for example, I would want the ability to get service. It seems like a big risk to buy this way even though the savings can be significant.
No, they can not deny you service, even if you bought it second hand from someone else. Although, the jewelry or watch piece has to be authentic! Also, Cartier does NOT authentic any second hand pieces. They will either service the authentic piece or give it back to you not serviced and tell you that they can not service the piece further.

Recent Business Insider article: thoughts?

Ooo, thanks for your perspective! Don't think I'll bother with trying to nab a vintage court/similar then since I'm a small girl (5ft) so it'd be exhausting to lug a large heavy bag around! I am looking forward to receiving my two baguettes at xmas though:loveeyes:
I have the Court. It's beautiful but it can get a little heavy on the shoulder if I'm wearing it all day. I had the vintage Willis and sold it because it was too heavy for me. The bar that went across the top and held the top handles seemed to add a lot of weight.

But I am more talking about larger bags, like totes or large satchel styles. Like, I can't imagine carrying a full grain leather tote with my laptop and work stuff (when offices reopen...). It'd probably weigh like 20 lbs!

Noe vs Artsy

I have the large Noe myself, so I'm biased. I love it and it really carries a lot. I imagine it's a lot bigger than the Artsy, so it has that advantage. But since the Artsy is a tight shoulderbag, to me that is limiting. I like that the Noe has so much space, like the Speedy, but no pockets. I'm sure the Artsy has an inside pocket, whereas the Noe does not. That could be a deal breaker for you. I just love the iconic style of the Noe, and especially love the strap. That's what I would go with.

Chanel Wallet Worth It?

I have a Chanel wallet but the smaller more compact version, black lambskin. When I first made the purchase I worried that in my bag, jostled around, it would get scratches. I can tell you it looks almost the same today as five years ago, looks pretty much perfect. I love the wallet you purchased, a stunner for sure. Carry it around alone sometimes, it’s so pretty, show it off.
