Well, this gives you an idea how the bag will look after extensive wear. I have the same bag in the small camera case. I think the camera case is more structured.

I would ask for another bag or if you can select the bag you want in person.

Not luxury brand, but Nine West offers some boots in "wide calf" that truly are wide calf.

I‘ve had success with Nordstrom’s and Neiman’s Chanel boutiques. I have no problem with their returns and exchanges. I bought from the San Francisco store years ago and they sent me a mailing label for a return when the bag was defective. I don’t know if they would’ve done the same for a return. Is self-shipping new to the stand alone stores? I know Chanel is trying to money-grab because they paid employees for weeks during shutdowns, but really?!?! Maybe they needed to set-up eCommerce to satisfy their bottomline during Covid. Be proactive.

Get rid of it and get something you love. I made the dreaded purchase mistake a few times... Learned a valuable and sometime costly lesson to purchasing the wrong designer bag/shoes.

That is not good customer service at all. Long waits, giving you excuses when you request a refund, not cancelling your order immediately upon request. So sorry you had a bad experience, but I’m really glad you got your refund.

I think this issue with the price is that you'll never recoup close to that on the resale market. If you were happy and planning to keep it forever then the price is justifiable if you really wanted it. The crease is a known issue and the reason why I sold both of mine PM & MM. Luckily I bought them pre-loved so I actually made a good profit selling them.

Like someone else said, don't make yourself crazy about it. If you are unhappy, send pics to FP, Yoogis, Couture USA and other stores to see what offers you get. I think you'd get something around 1k. Another option is to email pics to LV repairs. It's a known issue, so they might allow you to get a store credit and then you can just get something else. Not sure what the last retail price was, but the credit would be that or more.

I would love to hear what you find out since I have a bag I'm interested in having cleaned. Thanks!
