Bracelet sturdy enough for 24/7 wear

Thank you - I’m really loving my bracelet, it’s very comfortable to wear and visually interesting.

I used to have a silver RRT bead bracelet too and never noticed any wear on it, other than the inner chain that the beads are on seemed to stretch a bit over time. I think I wore it for about 3 years or so before some other bling caught my eye (lol) and I passed it on to my niece.

Like you I’m not huge into stacking, but sometimes will put an extra jewelry item or two on for going out. So I’ll get the most worn parts on the Hardware reinforced so I can still wear it occasionally. I think my new gold bracelet would also look great with a dainty tennis bracelet so am going to investigate that option!
That’s funny, as my Niece has her eyes on mine already!

Buying handbag from Hong Kong - customs, duties, tarrifs, authenticity?

Does anyone have any knowledge or experience purchasing designer luxury handbag from Hong Kong? I would've never considered it but I found a bag I desire which is very hard to find (this is only one I could find at all online) and shop swears everything is authentic and get they've been in business for 15 years, winning a "no fake" award annually. They say they offer refund if it proves to not be authentic and I realize I could always dispute charge on my credit card too in that case. Here's start in wondering:

- How/where can I get bag authenticated on my own?

- Will I be responsible for paying any additional customs/duties, etc? Been trying to research and coming up blank. Store tried to assist but also has no details.

TIA for any assistance any of you can offer.
In my experience, customs fees from Hong Kong coming into the USA are a much higher percentage compared to items coming from Japan/Europe/UK and other places where we have more favorable trade agreements. When I purchase items from international sellers, the highest customs fees I have paid have been from China, Hong Kong and Dubai (just my experience, there are certainly more countries that could be on the list). There’s no way to give an exact number, because it can vary by many percentage points just by something as small as the type of leather, whether it has pockets, whether it has metal snaps etc. You can try to get your best guess by downloading the US customs schedule file, but be aware that it will just give you an idea, you need to be prepared to pay up to 25%, so I wouldn’t risk it. I would only buy from a place that makes you prepay customs fees (like vestiaire collective or eBay global), because that’s the only way to know exactly how much it will be before you purchase. If you can buy from Japan/Europe/UK, you will pay ~8-10% customs fees in most cases, so much more manageable.

Carryall vibe?

It’s weird that they changed the name of the bag from the Carryall Dark to the Vibe. Merfy in Singapore talks about it being a popular bag with a nice subtle touch of logo in her video. Not really much is out there on this bag, as it just released earlier this year.

Judging by how this smaller sister bag in the same leather looks on TheRealReal, the leather is probably very prone to getting wrinkles and creases.

Thank you for this info!
I was drawn to it because the one coming out soon in the collaboration release is beautiful. I was surprised to see no info on it when searching the boards- didn’t realize the name changed and that it’s so new.

Think I’ll have to take a pass based on the delicate nature of the leather. Really good idea checking pre loved sites for wear and tear!

Patent leather rules?

I always thought the no white after labor day was odd. I do understand the idea that lighter colors are appropriate for summer as they absorb less heat, but if white is inappropriate for winter, no one told Mother Nature, as she seems to love it best during this season.
It was odd & perhaps that's how the color "winter white" evolved:smile: to be more appropriate/acceptable

Should I get CLs?

Yes, I am used to wearing higher heels but you aren't kidding about them looking better than they feel - lol! I've worn higher that were more comfortable. I wouldn't get this size again. I would look at no higher than the 70mm next time. A lower heel size is more appropriate for daytime office wear as well, imo.

Just looked at the box and the color is called Blush and they are the Kate style. They were nice for the outfit I had and for the occasion. I liked that the color was very neutral and understated but the patent gave it that bit of shine that made it feel evening appropriate and more special.

There was no seating. All standing and mingling for several hours. I was glad to take them off and put on some driving shoes once I got back in my car. lol

Ignore the double post where I fixed a typo in (thought I did that in the original post but obviously didn't).

CL heels should come with a big warning that they are "car to seat" type shoes!! Congratulations on surviving!

Kirigami Organizer 2024 vs Felicie comparison

I have it in the blue and I absolutely love it!! I think it’s such a great piece for the price. Like you stated it is soft and can be stuffed easily. I filled mine up with my extra cards, some tissues and gum and it gets thrown in every bag I carry. It’s really versatile and would work really well for traveling to put everything extra in. It’s definitely a great investment piece and I will use it for many things 😊
Enjoy your yellow!! It’s a gorgeous color 💛
