Second Bag Opinion

I have a gold B25 togo and a gold Mini Kelly epsom and I think both bags both look fantastic with casual outfits but I don’t tend to pair them with more dressy outfits.

If it were me, I’d choose Etoupe for the K25 sellier because imo it’s a more formal-shaped bag and I think it would probably be easier to style both casually and dressed up in Etoupe. I agree with your leaning towards getting the B25 in gold.

Hope you are happy with whatever decision you make. The K25 is beautiful in both Etoupe and Gold :smile:

It was on me for most of my 20s and had a lot of battle scars (and very illustrious and marvelous stories) with which I associated it. I had it polished because of accumulated damage on the edges and when it came back shiny and perfect, it didn't feel like my bracelet anymore, so I sold it. Owing to sentiment, I do wish I had kept it.

I appreciate you sharing about the love bc I have been in the same predicament with the one I bought and wore my entire adult life for the last decade. But it’s rose gold and I had regretted it not being yellow gold with the diamonds and I was debating on selling it but was worried I would regret it. Thanks for your experience.

Yes, it's so cool in person! I have it in black box. The only problem is my phone does hit against the delicate box on the inside of the rim (though it technically fits) so I'm now afraid to carry my phone in it. I need a less beefy phone but it's so good for taking pictures 😅

I have not watch the full video yet but I got a confirm from my SA (who happened to be lucky to got a seat to go Paris for HQ tour) that some parts of the bag are machine stitched and some are hand stitched by the artisans (mostly the handles which are hard for the machine to do it)

Thank you all for sharing your thoughts and insights. I decided against the ex libris en kimonos as I just cannot pull the trigger at that price point even though the condition seems near mint. I did find another less “popular” design slightly less than current retail. I think it will actually suit my outfits more and I’ve been drawn to its color. I’ll share on this forum when it arrives!

Based on your bracelet stack, I would suggest the YG Panthere. The Panthere and the Tank Louis are both really beautiful watches, but their aesthetics are very different. The Tank is classic and minimalist, while the Panthere (especially in all gold) is more feminine and glamorous. The YG Panthere would look great with your stack, and the Tank Louis would go better with maybe plain YG Love and JUC bracelets.

For me that strap was everything! Thick but flexible enough to be comfortable and it never slipped off my shoulder like the Delightful tended to do. The MM size is a big bag and holds a lot but it can get heavy compared to the Neverfull MM if you overpack it. I think the NF is a much lighter-weight tote overall but if you overpack it the straps can dig into your shoulder. Because of the length of the Sully strap being shorter than the width of the top of the bag it is a little harder to get things in and out of, if that makes sense. Whereas the NF is wide open with easy access.
I have also had the Sully PM which is still a large enough bag and suited my frame better than the MM did (I'm 5'0"). I'll see if I can find pics of the PM size on me.

Rose and Pink gold (even red gold), by right, they should be the same. However, different collections/brands have different % of copper in the 25% alloy (as gold is 75%) and it gives different shades of pink/rose.

Some watch brands (for example, Vacheron) even specify the % of copper in the alloy further by using 'N' system.

“Gold in Watchmaking,” by Lucien Treub, says, “The buyer of an 18 ct yellow gold watch has a choice of half a dozen colours plus another good half dozen for white gold. There are distinct national preferences: German 18 ct gold is bright yellow (‘2N’) and contains 10% copper and 15% silver, while the Swiss variety is a darker yellow (‘3N’) and contains 12% copper and 13% silver. The latter colour is preferred in combination with steel for ‘bicolore’ cases and bracelets. Rosé gold (‘4N’) contains 16% copper and 9% silver, while red gold (‘5N’) contains 21% copper and only 4% silver. Exactly! I don’t know all the intricacies of a watch service, but I do know that Cartier will carefully assess all these things once they have it open, which is helpful, especially when buying an older preloved timepiece where you might not know its last service date or which other parts could need a little TLC.

Thank you for your answer. I remember reading that story about your secretive offer, it did seem odd by reading your story that the SA did not let you try it and somehow wanted to force you to accept eyes closed. I myself would have been very surprised too if my SA behaved that way. However, this particular event should not affect your future offers at the boutique.

In my situation, S.A. was very open with me, did not force, I am actually the one who requested on having a bracelet too which he kindly ordered. I did get to try them at the store. It was actually a very good experience, not secretive or anything like that.
The necklace has the most beautiful shades, I just wish the bracelet he ordered would match too.
My bad that I didn’t have a look at it earlier. I will mention it to my S.A. on my next visit and see what they say.
