VCA Turquoise WG 20 motif question

A YG version sold at Heritage Auctions earlier this month at auction for $52,500 (total with the buyer's premium): https://jewelry.ha.com/itm/estate-j...5559-55180.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515

You might find similar pieces listed at higher set prices from dealers--there is a WG turquoise 20 motif that someone is asking $88K for--but those numbers are usually a "wish" price that they are hoping for. Past auction results give you some data to go on because those are actual prior sales with prices that were paid, not just what someone is hoping to get for the piece when they haven't yet succeeded in selling it.

Beat boutique in Las Vegas?

Thank you both
Judee go at Bellagio is nice. Not pushy. The doorman is a bit strange (kind of looks like Einstein for a lack of better description) which may account for the bad Google reviews of the boutique being a snob. But even that doorman was nice and talkative at the end. Busy casino, but very empty boutique when we visited. This was last month.

She let me play with most of the pieces, can ship the items to your home if you don’t have a “home” boutique and can follow up on inquiries. Very accommodating. Perhaps the doorman is the source of the bad reviews.

Enjoy Vegas!

Loudest leather

It's not a sensible question. Leather itself isn't making noise. It's the fabrication of an item overall that creates sound when in contact or usage by a person or thing: the stuffing/frame, lining, whatever, and the exterior. You know, how the leather sofa in the living room is dead silent when nobody's home.
Haha, that is a good one. I meant if the leather is in use, or people are wearing a leather bag or coat.

Felicie pochette snap issues

I’m just going to return it. I opened a case with poshmark. The strap is not the original felicie strap. The original is 44.5 inches long and this one is only 32! I’m honestly not even sure it’s an authentic strap because the quality isn’t as nice as the pics I see of straps on fashion phile and the hook isn’t closing completely first pic is mine the second the one on fashionphile. I’m appalled this passed authentication. I’ll be purchasing via eBay from now on.

Found in thrift store

Found this wristlet today and I’d love to learn more about it. So far I believe it’s from the Marcello collection, but I don’t know much else. Can anyone offer any insight? I believe it’s authentic, but is it vintage?

Thanks in advance for any insights!!

Chopard vs VCA

Hello I love both brands. As a former Chopard collector I have many but not this one (which is normal it is a new collection) … makes me really think of Bulgari indeed. I Iove the quality of Chopard. It is indestructible you don’t have to fear of wear and tear. On the opposite VCA is more delicate and yes the chain is shinier but VCA VA pendant chain do twist (at least mine and I have 3 pendant : 3 HP) so from time to time I have to make it smooth again otherwise it twists and twists and almost struggles me … I don’t understand why but some YouTubers talk about it. I wouldn’t be afraid to wear a guilloché as a pendant. you should be just fine. I have the RG and WG guilloché HP and don’t see any scratches. But I only weared it a few times. Just keep it in his own pouch or case to protect from scratches from other jewels when you don’t wear it and don’t stack it to keep it safe.

The style is completely different. I am more in love with happy diamonds freely moving from Chopard collections so my heart will go to the VCA piece. Also maybe if you look at that piece for more than a year you are sure that you like it over some more years
Thank you for your reply! Great to see that you love Chopard also and have experience with both!

MTO handbag (Peter Nitz vs Mila Jito)

I agree that all bespoke work is not cheap. But neither are the top luxury bags — Hermes, Chanel, Dior, Prada, et al. If you are buying these brands, then you can afford bespoke.

Duret and Nitz are at the top price wise, but these makers are located in Paris and Zurich, very high priced cities. Both makers are at the top of their game. The cost for these bags reflects those factors.

I have not worked with Duret, but Nitz’s prices range from about $4K for a Flaxton in leather to $50K for a butterfly bag in Croc.

Lili Storella (Mila Jito) is located in rural New Hampshire. She does not have the years of experience under her belt as Nitz or Duret, but that does not mean her craftsmanship is any less than Duret or Nitz.

Her bags range from $5.5K to ~$15K for croc.

Jetalla Anieu is in Indonesia. And she is a relative newbie. Her bags are remarkably well priced under $3,500 for normal leather bags.

Aesthetically, Nitz is the most refined and imaginative. The butterfly bag, while ultimately not my style, is a masterpiece of design. The Flaxton is similar in design and use as an Hermes Evelyne, BUT improves on all the drawbacks of Evelyne. If anyone wants an extremely wearable and usable bag at a good price point, the Flaxton is the way to go.

Mika Jito’s aesthetic is bold, casual, and perhaps a touch chunky. She has no mini or micro bags. 25mm Mirius or Dearling is as small as she goes. If you haul around stuff or like big bags, Mila Jito’s your creator. Her new Dearling design is jaw dropping. I have a Dearling that will be done next Spring. My Wander bag will deliver around January 1, 2025.

ETA: Mika Jito does have some smaller bags!

Jetalla Aneiu principally works with the trapezoidal shape of a Kelly bag with her Natalya bag. It is way easier to open and close as opposed to an Hermes Kelly. I have a 21cm horizontal version that I got as a going out, hands free bag. It serves its function very well. I have another 25 cm version on order that should deliver in February.

It’s fun to sell my Hermes and replace them with bespoke.

I love working with talented craftspeople and putting my hard earned money in their pocket instead of multinational corporations who could not give a rat’s a** about me.

Thanks for the fabulous information! I’ve considered the JA Natalya bag before but worried the snap buttons might be awkward to open and close, and constant pressing could leave skin oils on the leather. Especially if you have to use both hands to pinch the front and back of the bag together? But you find it easy to use?

Bulgari Serpenti Viper ruby demi

Just paid to have this necklace reserved in Europe. Can't believe it's so hard to get! I should have jumped on it when it first came out.
Only have to wait one month for my friend to pick it up 🥲
In Japan site, the special edition necklace can no longer be seen. The bracelet, while still listed, only has the “notify/contact us” as option.

Should I trade 31 mm gold rolex or just give up ?

I have a 28 Rolex and I’m constantly thinking about whether to sell it to get a 31. IMO unless your wrists are very small, I think the 28 is a little awkward because it’s a dainty size while also looking very chunky. It’s like neither here nor there… not a feminine, dressy and petite watch like a Cartier Panthere but also not a cool, masculine oversized watch like a professional Rolex. When I do like it on people, they tend to be petite gals such that it LOOKS like a 31 on them proportionally.
Interesting! You are right about it being a chunkier watch. I do find the 28mm feminine though. I will have to try it on again to see! I feel like I have avg wrists at 6 inches. Perhaps I change my mind too much!

Rolex dealership in Munich?

Hi everyone! I’m first time posting on this board though I’m an OG for 16+ years on Tpf. My eldest is graduating in 2026 and we want to gift him a Rolex, thinking about a yachtmaster or submariner… I honestly don’t know much about watches but I’ve heard it’s like playing the Hermes game: need to buy something else before they offer you one. I feel like everywhere I go (or people I talk to), they all treat me like a Chinese tourist, but I actually do live here, although my German is not so good. Would you know anyone who would be willing to work with me and don’t treat me like a reseller? (Nothing wrong with resellers but I’m not good with games anymore…)

Thank you so much in advance! I’m not in a rush (son is graduating in June 2026), but thought to start my research early so I have time to “build a relationship” if that’s what it takes…

Vielen dank!!!
