Do NOT use LVLENKA

UPDATE: Lenka and I spoke today (I appreciate her proactiveness in calling me). After speaking for a good hour, we agreed that no one is trying to scam anyone in this case, not even UPS. She and her team have went to UPS and spoke to the store manager providing all the evidences required. As a next step, we will wait for UPS to conduct their investigation internally and she will keep me updated once she receives any updates from them.

It’s never my intention to bash someone’s business online but I am just seeking a resolution to this issue. I’m glad that Lenka does her part in helping me to retrieve my bag! Praying for a miracle that it’ll turn up soon.

New year, new jewelry January 2025.

Oh thank you, it’s my first purchase from Ippolita and Neiman Marcus. The only disappointment I had was the packaging. I wanted a Ippolita hard box not a pouch. I’m just going to get a nice box from Amazon. I do love this shade of turquoise now I have to find a necklace.
Ooh a matching necklace will be beautiful!

Another Hermes odyssey - Paris leather appointment

Seriously, if you are local in Paris (or anywhere) but not interested in purchasing other boutique merchandise, I think resale, some of which is well priced, is absolutely the best way to go. Resale prices are going down, and there is a ton of selection. Unfortunately, bc of social media, it seems getting bags from the boutique will only get harder.

The Evelyn TPM is actually one of the more popular bags bc it is well priced for an Hermes bag; small; light; and cross body. I picked two up at resale bc my local SA couldn’t seem to get any that I wanted within the time frame I preferred. I am glad you were able to get the one you wanted. No reason to be sad  congrats on your new bag

ETA: I’ve had best experiences with FSH, but my FSH and another SA at sevres (the latter of which I did not shop with and who offered to transfer a yoga sweater to FSH) have told me that it’s important to the Paris boutiques to stick to one of them if you would like to build any kind of relationship
Thanks, I actually bought one from a reseller last week as I came to the same conclusion as you…

Heart enamel replacement!

I bought the bead bracelete in store last year February, so it hasn’t even been a year since I’ve had it
BUT I really regret buying the pink heart enamel charm & want it replaced with just the classic sterling silver heart charm

It’s not damaged or anything, but I don’t mind paying for the replacement as long as it’s under 200AUD !

Are replacements possible & what would be the estimate price range?
Also do they need to ship it off abroad for the changes?

Ship or Pick Up Fur Coat (Paris to US)

I'm ordering an expensive custom sable fur coat ($140,000 euros) from Yves Salomon in Paris. They can either ship the coat to me, bring it carry on to the US or I can pick it up when I am next in Paris and wear it on the plane home. Does anyone know which option will be cheaper? I don't believe there are any issues with transporting sable from Paris to US (eg CITES), but please let me know. Thank you!
Pick it from the nearest store in the US.
Cheaper? Should be for free.

Currently I believe only zibellina (sable) brachyurus (type of Japanese sable) is endangered, but double check. YS will know anyway.

Fauvette Paris

Hello! I’m looking for any feedback on the indie Parisian brand Fauvette Paris. Can you comment on the leather quality, craftsmanship, etc? I have my eye on a specific bag atm but it’s sold out so if you have any information on how often they restock as well, that would be helpful.

AliceinParis has a video on YouTube that speaks highly of Fauvette. It’s one of a few brands she talks about in the video.

Need help… Rose Azalee offered

I have not seen this color with gold hw recently. A few years ago I accepted a bag with palladium when I really wanted gold hw but my SA assured me that had never received it with gold hw. I am so glad I went and looked at it and decided to buy it. To this day, it’s one of my favorite bags….and I rarely wear white gold jewelry. Maybe go and take a look and see how you feel when you see it? I don’t think think I’ve seen rose azalee in a sellier so it sounds special to me but only you can make that decision. Good luck!

Gentle Leather cleaner without harsh chemicaliën

Hello everyone,

I’m looking for a gentle leather cleaner for my Delvaux handbags (not for stains or heavy dirt, but for general maintenance if older bags). I’ve looked into brands like Collonil, but most cleaners container harsh chemicals which can also cause allergic reactions. As I am prone to allergies, I am looking for a mild cleaner to apply before conditioning my bags.

I’ve read that Marseille soap is mild on leather but I am afraid to use it on an expensive bag.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I just purchased the Saphir Renovating Cream for a vintage Chanel and I love love love it. It does have a strong scent, but I have a lot of allergies and it doesn’t seem to bother them. One that I often use on vintage Louis Vuitton is Apple Leather Care. It’s very mild on premium leathers and doesn’t have a strong smell, which is great if you're sensitive unlike some products I’ve seen in reviews like https://freebird-shaver.pissedconsumer.com/review.html, where users mention harsh scents or reactions. Hope that helps.
For a gentle allergy allergy-safe leather cleaner for your Delvaux bags, try Saphir Leather Cleaning Soap, Chamberlain's Leather Milk (Formula No 2) or Apple Leather Cleaner All three are mild, non-toxic and suitable for delicate luxury leather. Avoid Marseille soap as it can be too alkaline for high-end leather. Always patch test first and follow up with a good conditioner.

Are you willing to pay more with your SA when preloved would save you money?

“My” last SA retired 22 years ago. :crybaby:
Since then, between boutique turnover, and the fact I’m a sporadic shopper, I get someone new almost every time I go to buy something.

So my personal equation factors 1) how much am I saving by buying preowned, 2) how inconvenient is it to buy, and 3) how much work has the SA who assisted me done?

If the SA has actually been helpful - answering questions, texting or emailing additional pictures, ordering in from another store - I’m buying from that person. I don’t care how easy it is to get and how much money I could be saving. On the other side, if the SA is actively rude, I avoid the brand for at least a decade.

But it’s rare for me to get notable service. Usually, it’s reluctant smiles if I can get anyone’s attention at all.

Usually, I’ll look at things in the boutique, and then do preowned as long as the savings is at least 20% off retail
