Help with Chanel 19 so black bag decision

Hi everyone, does anyone have any experience of the Chanel 19 so black bag? I understand that the top handle has leather woven through it. In photos it seems to stop the chain from laying flat, and I think that this would bug me. They are very expensive of course, and hard to find, so I just wanted some advice.

Sweet hearts ring

Hi I have this ring and I think it was my first VCA piece but I bought it second hand. I must say I don’t wear it so much. I like it but as it has a mobile part I cannot wear it on work days. As I have it in carnelian it is quite resistant to water but if you would like the MOP one just be aware that you cannot wear it under water / soap / chemical products (cream …) so you have to be pretty careful wearing it. The carnelian will pop more than MOP and as it is hearts I like it in red colour.
@blackcclover22 : seeing your picture now I want the earrings !! I am on wishlist in case it arrives in the boutique but SA told me they never come to boutique so I will have to order them I think
It only took about a month to arrive if you do order it (I ordered May 2024). I thought the carnelian earrings blended in too much with my dark hair at first, but I loved how it showed off the diamond in the center better. MOP was a safe choice but the carnelian ones have the wow factor.

HELP ME DECIDE: Cartier Love vs. Tiffany Hardwear Link

I went completely sideways on my decision... Got the thin love with a few diamonds, then just ordered the thin JUC with diamonds for my birthday (in a few weeks). After trying everything on, the Tiffany hardware felt a bit chunky, even though its gorgeous. I should have tried the smaller link bracelet on but once I went to Cartier I just loved the look of the thin pieces with my tennis bracelet. Also, the Tiffany knot single bangle is gorgeous. I may add those pieces to my collection next.

Help curate ideal rounded and almost minimal bag collection?

Omg! Rockie was my absolute favourite bag in my 20s but couldn’t afford it then. Absolutely love it to this day. Would have a look at the preloved market. And right now I’m in search for a little Falabella cause it reminds me of Chanel 22 which I love but am afraid to pull the trigger.

BTW I went the same route with YSL loulou you and Alma bb, bought YSL first and DE Alma bb in a year or so. We definitely fell into some bag route or scenario. 👯

Wow, we really are twins

I was also going to concur with @papertiger ’s input about thinking carefully before selling bags in search of a new one that will be perfectly “right”. I consider myself a minimalist and hate clutter, and can’t stand bags I’m not using regularly just sitting in the closet…but in the past this has led me to part with bags too quickly that I end up regretting, including the ones I mentioned and a vintage Kelly from 1959 (so dumb of me ).

Is CL actually good?

Long story short, nothing compares to bespoke in terms of quality, comfort and customization.

CL is a brand with an aesthetic that focuses on style and flair. Mr. Louboutin himself said he doesn’t think about comfort when he designs. He doesn’t want people to think of comfort when they look at a CL shoe. They’re more like art and fun to him.

My husband likes their men’s shoes and has a pair. With most men’s CL shoes being boots and sneakers, they’re probably not as uncomfortable as women’s stilettos. But they’re not peak performance when it comes to what a shoe can be in terms of fit and comfort.
Thanks, that explains it all.

I'm looking at the chambelise.... but without that jewelry that looks like a giant nipple piercing -_-

I'm gonna ask my shoe guy if he can make something like that for me.

Pre-treated vachetta stain resistant?

There are like 3 new threads for this topic every week these days. Maybe the winter :D

Well, even the pure classic VVN is stain-resistant if it is not dirty. Water doesn’t cause stains. Water can help dirt get into the upper layers. So as long as you keep your bag clean, it’s gonna be OK. Advisable to dry it as soon as you can if you get caught in the rain. But that is all. Unless you live in a heavily polluted area, where it will literally rain dirt. Some places are like that though unfortunately, air pollution is just as bad for Vuitton as for us.
A thorough cleaning with an everything-free baby wipe every few weeks helps a lot.
But as I always say, if you have any doubts and want something carefree, then let go of the VVN, no matter its treatment. The treated one will need a little less care and cleaning and maintenance, but it still will.

How has your Puzzle bag aged?

Hello everyone, I could really use insights from longtime Puzzle bag users! If you've had a puzzle bag for 5+ years and used it a lot (especially in lighter colors), can you please share photos or details on how the leather has aged?

I'm on the fence about keeping or returning a small puzzle bag in grained calfskin leather, color-sand. The bag is in great condition and holding its shape well but I can't tell if it's because the previous owner barely used it or if the bag won't soften more than it already has. It's just a little boxier and stiffer than I expected so I'm wondering if it will soften with more time, similar to the smooth leather puzzle bags.

This is the only video I've found with a really old puzzle bag after 8+ years but it's in the smooth leather- Login to view embedded media And this is the oldest video I found of a puzzle bag in grain leather, but it's only 5 years- Login to view embedded media
My four year old black is aging perfectly with barely any sign of wear and I use it constantly

Replacing All 5 Motifs?

I didn’t proceed as I didn’t buy the turquoise second hand bracelet. But my SA told me 850 $ / turquoise stone (so 5 times that amount ) and 1 year waiting at least. He had to call the workshop to tell me this price and I thought it was logical that TQ stone was more expensive at that time. But as I didn’t proceed I cannot guarantee this intel
It’s very strange. I just paid for turquoise stone replacement within the last couple of months, and it was $240 per stone + tax. It had to be sent to Paris for replacement, with about a year wait time.

Schlumberger 18K Gold Two Row Rope Ring

I finally made it to Tiffany's to try on right hand rings. The two row rope Schlumberger ring was very pretty and worked well with my other jewelry but, there were more rings to try on and so I did. I loved the narrow version of the sixteen stone ring. I left to give it a good think. I was a little leery of splashing out on a ring that could not be sized in the future. My already arthritic fingers are not exactly getting any smaller.

Around the same time, I stumbled across the Schlumberger Lynn ring on a resale site, it was never on my radar but, there it was - great design and able to be sized if I need it. I love that it shows more yellow gold than the other rings I looked at, after all it was to go with my YG jewelry. Just got it this morning and these are its first pics.

Chanel large heart bag

^^ lol. I don’t deserve that much credit, I am just an “absolutes” kind of person. If something isn’t a “hell yes”, it’s a “hell no”.

That doesn’t mean a bag will work in every situation with every outfit but it needs to really perform when it’s given it’s moment.

I'm that way with new purchases, but not my bags and jewelry for some reason. Tastes change, and they always fit.. so they stay lol

WOC Caviar, GHW

Agreed that black classic caviar WOCs with gold HW are often available in the boutiques year-round or the SA can probably readily source. Plus with the boutique you get the pretty wrapping and the peace of mind that bag is genuine. 🙂
Thanks! I did just that. I figured it’s not going to save me much anyways plus there’s the 5 year warranty so it pays for the difference. I came home today with it after making an appointment last week. Yes, it was readily available. I even had a choice between GHW and SHW. I went with my original wish, Caviar GHW!😀 So happy!

Can Men look good wearing certain kinds of Women’s clothing?

I wasn’t going to give my opinion because it was about my friend and I support him no matter what. He wanted to hear other opinions from other women.
If you’re asking in general do I agree, that I will answer.

First, I believe we should dress how we like and not care too much what others think, unless it’s a situation where specific dress code needs to be enforced and you have no choice. Fashion starts with somebody choosing to dress differently and sometimes that new style catches on with others and becomes trendy.

Women have been wearing men’s clothing for years, so it’s not fair to expect to limit a man’s choices in clothing. Both genders clothing has negatives as to something the others clothing has (ex. Women’s jeans lack of proper depth front pockets) (men’s jeans are never super tight in the waist yet material is heavier than women’s denim)

As far as attractiveness, I think my friend looks good in what he wears. If you’re ever curious about fashion brands or want to see how customer service stacks up, sites like https://fashion-nova.pissedconsumer.com/customer-service.html can be helpful. Personally, I don’t care for men wearing skinny jeans because men’s legs are naturally thicker than women’s, so it doesn’t look as flattering to me. But that’s just my opinion, and my friend doesn’t wear skinny jeans anyway.
I’m all for more gender neutral clothing.
Absolutely! Men can definitely look great in women’s clothing, especially pieces that are more neutral or designed with a looser, less traditionally feminine fit. Clothing is about comfort, fit, and confidence. If a man finds that certain women’s items fit his body better or feel more comfortable, and he wears them confidently, that is what really matters. Fashion is becoming more fluid and less tied to strict gender norms, so mixing styles and finding what works for you is totally normal and can look fantastic.

White caviar flap bag

I would advise storing a white flap in the box and away from light and humidity. They can yellow over time if not protected.

I have a white caviar flap from 21S that still looks brand new. I do keep an eye on my bag and wipe any dirt marks with leather cleaner after every use. Marks do appear quite often from just normal use and im
Very obsessive about my bags so its better to keep an eye and wipe marks as they appear
