Bigger-ish bag corners drooping over metal feet or curled/warped base

Hi all!

See how the corners droop down and the bag’s pretty much sitting on the leather instead of the feet?

Or, the base panel has “curled” and the corners do the above.

How does one prevent this from happening on softer leathers on larger bags? Is there a particular base shaper that works best?

Or is this just the charm of a softer puddled bag?
Your last question is the answer IMO!

Toiletry 19 question

Hi there, I think the Poche Toilette 19 should* fit just fine in the On The Go PM - I can fit mine in my Pochette Metis, which I believe share the same height and length dimensions as the OTG PM.

Hahah thank you! I think it might be a tight squeeze because the on the go sides cave in if that makes sense

Cartier WG replated at a non-Cartier place

Nor would Cartier. They won't touch it again if it's been modified in any way by a third party.
Not necessarily, mine had been rhodium plated by a third party and they still accepted it for engraving (free of charge which surprised me!) so I don't imagine a repair would have been a problem.
Thankfully in the six years I've owned it I haven't had any issues (no loose screws etc) but I will ask next time I'm in London.

tom ford bag help

Hi! I got a tom ford Jennifer bag( black medium) second hand and I was wondering about the serial number. When I looked up the bag again online I noticed another one posted had the same serial number as me. Does anyone know if that number stays the same within the same bag? If anyone knows please lmk I’m stressing a little!!
Authenticating isn't all that expensive, if you need to know.
You could take a lead from Swanky and search what is the style code for the bag. That could help you exclude one option.

Layering a tennis necklace with your 10 motif necklaces?

The only one I really like, and it’s on,y bc she’s young, gorgeous, and has a long neck, is heart evangelista with a six motif magic necklace and diamond riviera. But, I do not think this is an easy look to pull off with the casual elan that she has. And, I think the six motif is more interesting than the plain ten vintage when paired like this. It’s somehow less serious, more lighthearted. But JMO and YMMV . ETA: a higher scoop neckline can even cover the dangling motifs for a more understated look (see second pic which I think loses some of the charm of this look)

Familiar with Cartier YG Sapphire Love Bracelet?

Did it specifically say “white sapphires”? Like others, I have seen this before but with open motifs where the stones usually are (as the photo indicates), so I looked it up. It seems to be called the Cartier Passion Love bracelet on at least 2 resale sites. The sapphire they reference is ONE sapphire (not 10) and it is on the screwdriver, not the bracelet. Can you check if the one you saw had 10 sapphires or 1 sapphire in the description? That should settle the matter and put your mind at rest.
Thanks! You would be able to figure it out! The one I saw doesn’t have the white gold/platinum around it though. In either case, I realized I don’t like it enough, lol!

Palm Springs Mini Repair Advice

if the canvas is that delicate
It is extremely durable and can withstand constant use for a century, but these sanitizers are practically strong chemical solvents. Also it is not the PVC itself, that you see here get dissolved. They print the Monogram motif onto the PVC, then coat it with a very fine plastic layer to protect the print from rubbing off. That layer is the one here getting annihilated.

Goyard Color for Spring/Summer

Just came back from a lovely experience at Goyard in NYC! No line, and I went right in. I first tried the Boheme but didn’t like how it laid. I then asked to try a burgundy and gray Artois. You all were right: Gray was the winner! My SA Curt was kind and patient. When I left, I was outside fiddling with Google Maps and the doorman even asked me if I wanted to come back inside.

Of note, I first went to Bergdorf and the lady there wasn’t terribly polite or pleasant. Wasn’t expecting to have a far more positive experience at the standalone store!

And confession time: I also made a distance sale from Bergdorf last week for a black and tan Artois in case we didn’t make it to the Goyard shops during our trip. I love that too, so I now have 3 Artois: black/black, black/tan, and now gray.

Thank you again for all of your advice, tips, and guidance! Pucs to come. I’m writing this on the subway back to where we’re staying in Greenwich Village:-)

Pliage Energy khaki or black?

Hoping to get help deciding on what colour to get for the Pliage Energy S bag. My main purse is a black Loewe puzzle, but looking for something I can wear to the park with my kid, travelling, etc. I’m eyeing the Khaki colour to mix it up from my black puzzle, and thinking it may be a bit better colour in summer, but from pics I see online I can’t tell if it’s a true deep green or more a browny olive colour. Also worried the colour may look “cheap” compared to the black. Help me decide!

Rolex help please

Oyster precision is the basic model for rolex. I'd ask when was it last serviced, is it all original rolex parts since it's vintage and if it holds good time (accuracy of the movement, if it will need servicing anytime soon)

I did some research and I believe the model is Rolex Oyster Precision 6410. There's one on ebay now for $1599 obo. Price seems range from there to 2k-3k. Japan has some good deals for luxury goods.

As mentioned earlier, I recommend doing more research.

"The Rolex Oyster Precision is nearly identical to the time-only Oyster Perpetual. The biggest difference between the two models is that the Oyster Perpetual is powered by an automatic movement, and the Oyster Precision is powered by a hand-wound movement. If you're in the market for an introductory vintage Rolex watch with character and an affordable price tag, ref. 6411 is hard to beat. Features include timeless stainless steel, an older-style 25mm Oyster case surrounded by an engine-turned bezel, and a retro rivet link Oyster bracelet. This example also features a gorgeous silver dial decorated with creamy Tritium lume."

"The Oysterdate Precision was originally produced in the 1960s and discontinued in the 1980s. This was was essentially a predecessor to the more popular Oyster Perpetual as well as the Air King. The Oysterdate Precision was simple and made for daily wear."
Thank you so much great info! Honestly I'm not in the market for a watch I have my Cartier. But I was watching this companies live and they had this Rolex and I thought it was a great deal to add to my collection. I did see the eBay one that was $1599 I believe when I typed in 6410 there was a few 6411 that's came out and they looked beautiful.
