Bucellati Opera pieces

So a bit of story time.

I wanted to inquire my local Boutique about replacing the MOP in the Opera pendant if it broke.

The week before Easter weekend, I walked into the store and asked an SA there. (I don't really have a designated SA because I buy so spontaneously).
Her first response was: Of course we would replace the MOP!
But the I pushed her a bit more and said that I knew someone who asked at another store and they said it would not be replaced.
She immediately retracted her statement. I could see the doubt in her eyes. And then said she wasn't sure and would need to ask.
So we exchanged contact info.

I'm not in a big hurry to know and it was around Easter so I didn't want to bother her. And about 3 weeks passed by with no update.

So I walked into the store this past weekend and asked the same SA. There was another SA with her at the time.
And they confirmed that if the MOP broke, they would not replace it. Most likely a new pendant would have to be bought.

The most annoying thing was that at the beginning they said and kept on repeating that they've never heard of anyone breaking their MOP or it breaking on its own or cracking etc. (My brain was like...okay, that's great, but I don't care. You're not answering my question.)
It was only after I emphasized that I was not a careful person and what if I dropped it or something that they gave me the confirmation.
Then they said that if I'm not that careful with my jewelry, it's probably not a piece for me to get. I respect the honestly and not pushing me to buy.

Anyway, that's my story. A little annoyed that I had to wrangle the answer out from them but I got my answer. And again, now that's off the wishlist lol.

Hi, I’ve shared in my previous response that the SA told me they won’t be able to replace the MOP but I went to another boutique today and I was told they will be able to send it back to italy for replacement and it can take up to 6 months. I don’t know if this is a new policy. I will have to clarify with then tomorrow.

Bright but wearable colors? Red B30 vs Blue K28

Thank you so much for the advice, everyone (especially @papertiger for the wise words). I went ahead with the bleu electrique! To tone down the brightness a bit, I added a darker twilly (still pops with yellow trim). The color photographs much brighter than it appears in real life — a good thing for me as I think it’ll be a wearable color.

I think you definitely made the right choice, that Kelly is just so stunning, elegant yet fun with that colour! Enjoy and wear in the best of health and happiness.

Bvlgari Serpenti Viper Two Coil Ring Sizing

Yes! That is the same ring I am eyeing! I am worry with the flexibility of the ring that it will get loosened with time or if I lose a bit of weight that it will slide off :(

Thank you for sharing !
The ring does not stretch. Today I tried on M and S. M is one segment less wrapped around the finger. That's why you may have the impression that it stretched. look at the picture and count the parts of the snake. S is 4 and M is 3 below the head. I haven't seen other sizes.

Should I match metal color when it comes to my diamond pieces?

Agree with all the comments about setting diamonds as minimally as possible in WG, and then yellow gold for chains and non-stone pieces. This is exactly what I’ve made with my daily jewelry in the past few years. It means some pieces will have to be modified or custom made…I don’t know why more designers don’t make pieces this way!?!?

Please help to decide first VCA purchase

Thanks everyone for your replies! I have almost everything in rose gold. I went with the Sweet Alhambra and was lucky enough to get it without a waiting list. I'm very happy with my new bracelet!
Congratulations! I also would have advise the hammered sweet bracelet. You are a very lucky person having such a beautiful and durable piece ! Stacking it is as @Prada Prince said so coool too. Enjoy 😉

Boundless!!!!

I saw it in store last weekend and loved it. If it came in the new Navy I probably would have gotten it. Ended up with the Carmel.
The Navy color is so close to the black! It almost looks blue at times. The Carmel is gorgeous. It’s is shocking how little you find about this bag! If you love big bags this one is so perfect!

Italist Infinity – Worth It for Bags?

If it can’t be combined with other coupons, maybe that means it can only be used on full price items. Not items on sale?
I know that I’ve received promo offers from Italist for 5% or 10% off my purchase around various holidays or when I’ve left items in my cart. Those items were sometimes on sale and sometimes they weren’t. Maybe that’s the kind of coupon combination exclusion they mean?

Bigger-ish bag corners drooping over metal feet or curled/warped base

Hi all!

See how the corners droop down and the bag’s pretty much sitting on the leather instead of the feet?

Or, the base panel has “curled” and the corners do the above.

How does one prevent this from happening on softer leathers on larger bags? Is there a particular base shaper that works best?

Or is this just the charm of a softer puddled bag?
Your last question is the answer IMO!

Toiletry 19 question

Hi there, I think the Poche Toilette 19 should* fit just fine in the On The Go PM - I can fit mine in my Pochette Metis, which I believe share the same height and length dimensions as the OTG PM.

Hahah thank you! I think it might be a tight squeeze because the on the go sides cave in if that makes sense
