The Loewe puzzle is still my favorite since it was my dream bag for so long, and I managed to get it when this color was still available and before the prices increased to what they are now. It's my travel workhorse and somehow manages to match most of my wardrobe ☺️

I didn't expect to accumulate so many purses in a short amount of time (most in the last 3 years) so I'm at purse peace for now.

Okay, maybe contemplating a shoulder bag in the future 😂. I've been eyeing the Mark Cross Jane in oxblood and the new Celine Camille.
The mark cross is very pretty! Probably more structured than the Celine based on the photos

Persuade me about my vintage heirloom fur jacket…

FYI there has been a lot of attention lately with vintage furs including fashion articles in The NY Times and Wall Street journal. (Not that it really matters). IMO this is not worth agonizing over. It’s beautiful, you love it, and it has sentimental meaning. Why wouldn’t you keep it? Enjoy your beautiful coat.

Have you considered the Lord Piana bags? The Loom line is really gorgeous. I am in my 60s and I recently got the L31 in dark chocolate.

Agreed LP bags are beautiful but the loom reminds me of work😀

AMAN skincare products….love or hate?

I have used the AMAN spa body products. The body cream is wonderful but the bath salts
IMO are not in the league of Micheline Arcier bath oil. Oil vs bath salts is personal preference
Was not a fan of their skin care line either, not hydrating enough.
I am also not a fan of La Mer nor Chanel skin products. There are others that are more hydrating
& high performing, JMO

Orders, Deposits and Refunds

Yes, this is definitely a thing. A client should always go back to the original sales SA to make a return/exchange, even if it means mailing it back (this is for general advice to other readers). SAs actually get berated for “allowing” their clients to return at a different store. An SA vented to me once about trouble they were having with another client and how the client was begging for X bag but kept doing things like buying expensive things and then returning at another store because she couldn’t actually afford them and the SA was imploring her to at least come back to them for the return because taking it elsewhere makes it 10x worse for the client and makes her dream bag that much further away because the SM was angry.
In my case, it was my SA who told me that I should go return the item in the city that I was in so that I don’t need to fly the broken item back (in hold). I don’t think it affected anything other than the return part of the exchange was not the most pleasant (I don’t need to hear their inner thoughts and honestly don’t care whose mistake it is). After all, what I did was the most environmentally friendly way to deal with an honest packing mistake at my home store. Apparently, there is a KPI to track the returns at a given store.

Well, now maybe H knows exactly which transaction that I am talking about as there was only one single such instance.

I agree with the KPI to track the habitual returns. They should. Those people are cheating!

VCA EMPTY BOX RECEIVED :(

Hi everyone. I ordered an alhambra necklace and it was delivered today. I opened it up and everything seemed fine (packaging, certificate, invoice, etc), until I opened the green jewellery box inside and it was empty. UPS package didn't seem tampered with. I've contacted van cleef and they said they're conducting an investigation but the situation is stressing me out. Thankfully I filmed an unboxing video so I have evidence that the box was empty when I opened it. Does van cleef film their packing process? I am thinking that they forgot to put the necklace into the green box since everything was wrapped & ribboned properly. I am hoping they are able to find a video of this process and find out where the mistake occurred. If anyone has info on this that can ease my mind, I'd really appreciate it!

Thank you! I certainly hope nobody is lured in as I was into buying anything from her. The name of the business is J.W. Frye Sustainable, and she has three Instagram accounts under the same name. The pre-owned designer merchandise in her shop is featured on her main page.

She replied to the Better Business Bureau complaint I filed against her, saying "Hi, we received $1500.67 originally. Payment withdrew after 2 days on Dec 12 before she received the merchandise. Bank statement attached. She claimed she sent the bag back and pressed us to “refund” her again which we ignored. There was no photo of tracking number provided from her side.
The amount she withdrew from my bank is $1645.83 which I couldn’t recover. Bank statement attached. I believe this is a scam, avoid this person at all cost."

Just projects and vomits lie after lie after lie. She clearly doesn't understand how Paypal works. Paypal put a hold on the funds while this matter was under dispute. I never received any funds from them. If I had, the matter would have been resolved. And how she repeatedly denies that I provided any photos of the tracking is stunning since I provided that evidence MUTLIPLE times, and on the very same day I provided that tracking info, she started advertising the bag again on her IG page (which I screenshot). I suspect as soon as she got the bag back, she sold it to someone else. I'm also cracking up at her statement that "she withdrew $1645.83 from my bank"😂 Again, this person has NO idea how bank chargebacks work. I do not have the power or authority to take anything from her. This action was completed by both my and her bank after reviewing the mountain of evidence countering her false claims.

So if she is to be believed, we're all lying: the US postal service, the Swiss postal service, the banks, and I am the scammer to be avoided 😂🤣😂🤣

California Stores

I received a surprise K25 in January. I don’t have any info on SO bags, but my boutique just did ordering for SO exotic shoes. The only exotic available is crocodile for us— no lizard can be sold in CA and ostrich was also not an option. That may not be news to most of you, but I had really wanted to place an order for lizard and hadn’t realized we cannot purchase here.
