Gucci AW25

Loved the orchestra and runway itself (took me a minute to realize it was the GG logo), including the lighting and mirror effect.

The catsuit was my favorite look. I thought the monochromatic suits looked sharp. Personally, I could live without the rest of it. Didn't love the boxy feel of much of the coats/tops. I do like the new and different uses of the horsebit and am curious to see what else will evolve.

Loved the catsuit too. In fact, I couldn't take my eyes off it. I think it's the belt that makes it for me.

The car coats (men's) were too long too.

Return. You're not in love with it, and it's too expensive to just keep in a box forever. Use the funds to purchase what you'll wear and wear often. There's no point "collecting" Murakami items. We are not running museums.

I think we all got caught up in the multicolor craze due to FOMO and LV playing scarcity game.

CHANEL Mini & Medium & Wallet on Chain

Congratulations on your purchase.
I just repurchased black Mini yesterday, so I know how hard to get this bag. I sold mine before (which I have waited for months to get it), regret and repurchase. I have to be back to the waitlist but luckily this time I only wait for few weeks. I guess because of the price is insane now. I am kicking my self hard for selling mine and repurchase at few thousand dollar more..
I won’t sell it ever again..

Beautiful !!! Really price increased tremendously . If you saw my previous post that I returned medium classic when it cost 7k. Of course I regret too. But I happy to get this one , I will use it more often than I would use medium.

Observation Re: pre-loved, resale of "older," MFF differences, etc ... anyone else seeing this?

I agree with Whateve that most average bag customers out there don’t know the difference between Coach boutique and MFF, and outlets are more plentiful and accessible so that’s where they shop. I see a difference in MFF from 20-30 years ago and today. Back then the quality was better in many outlets items, and there were boutique deletes available. I can see it in the resale market, and in my own experience as a Coach customer since the late 90s.

I see Coach making an effort to market the outlet to more budget conscious customers, with the trendier and seasonal styles done in less expensive materials for the lower outlet price, but that doesn’t mean they are not great bags. There have been some amazing canvas beach bags from the outlet that are highly coveted by collectors. And the OP is correct- Coach holds its value very nicely- both MFF and boutique- provided condition is excellent of course.

If one has only ever shopped at the outlet, then I would recommend making the effort to get to a boutique. It will be a revelation.

Coachies know a great bag when they see one, whether it’s outlet or boutique.

Tips for Finding Authentic Vintage Luxury Bags

@cowgirlsboots is quite knowledgeable with great taste, but she also has experience with restoration of vintage pieces.

Bags that are somewhat out of style (like Dior dioramas or Fendi spy bags) can be bargains. So can some brands like balenciaga and BV Tomas Maier.

And, if you are fond of big bags when the trend is the opposite etc, then it’s easier. For premier brands, exotics tend not to hold value, so there are relative deals. And, jewelry companies like Cartier used to have inexpensive bags at resale.

I don’t recommend vestaire, and I prefer to window shop Japanese resellers to get a sense of what is out there. Look and look some more before pulling the trigger. And, don’t buy anywhere unless there is an ironclad return policy. I only pay PayPal backed by Amex. Never wire transfer or cash.

Please add photos and vital statistics of your bag in the appropriate Mulberry Clubhouse Thread so that we can continue to build up a really useful and informative reference resource.

There are also some bag threads in the Mulberry Reference library so if your bag is not in the Clubhouse, it may be there instead. Otherwise, a new specific thread can be started, preferably in the Clubhouse thread.

Thank you!

Custom Calvi Pick up time

Not Paris but I ordered one via the Spain website.

Placed an order on 30 Nov 2024, stated waiting time was 8 weeks. Received email on 3 Jan 2025 informing that the Calvi was ready and to collect within 21 days. As I was due to arrive in Spain at the end of Jan after the collection period, I emailed them to hold the item for me. Collected it a few days after arriving without any issues.

“What is it about THAT bag?”

I was in the ladies’ room of a restaurant in Greenwich Village wearing a black/black Artois MM. The woman in front of me says, “I’m probably twice your age, but what is it about THAT bag? I see it everywhere.”

I explain it’s Goyard. She responds, “Oh, I know. I just see it everywhere. In every color of the rainbow. I’ve been wearing Louis Vuitton since I’m 20 in the 80s and have a Neverfull in every size, but what is it about THAT bag?”

I joked that if we had thought up these bags we’d be rich. She concluded, “That’s it. I’m making a bag called the West Village Bag.”

I enjoyed this exchange thoroughly. I also have to add that the only reason I sold my Neverfull and switched to Goyard and the Artois is because the Artois has a zipper. (Although I confess I’m now addicted to all the Goyard color options.) There’s room in the world for all bags, folks!
