Hi everyone,
I need some advice regarding my
YSL Puffer Medium in Suede & Denim and their
terrible customer service.
I bought this bag
2 years and 8 months ago, and although I don’t use it daily, I always store it properly and take good care of it. Recently, I noticed
major quality issues that seem completely unacceptable for a luxury handbag.
Here’s what’s happening:
- The fabric is fraying and coming apart at multiple places.
- Edges and corners are peeling, even though I don’t overuse it.
- Threads are coming loose, and it looks worn out despite being well cared for.
I reached out to
YSL customer service, provided detailed
photos of the damage, and explained the issue.
Their response?
- They refused to help because the bag is out of warranty.
- They won't repair, replace, or offer any goodwill compensation.
- No suggestions, just a simple "Sorry, we can't do anything."
I completely understand that luxury bags have
normal wear over time, but I also expect
quality that justifies the price. I own bags from
Chanel and Louis Vuitton, and none of them have shown this kind of
poor durability.
Has anyone else experienced similar quality issues with YSL?
Did anyone manage to get a repair or replacement after the warranty expired?
Would you recommend taking further action, like posting on social media, contacting consumer protection, or using an external repair service?
I’d really appreciate any advice! Honestly, after this experience, I’m reconsidering ever buying another YSL bag.
Attached photos to show the condition.
Thanks in advance for your help!
