Boucle Bucket Bag in Natural Smooth Calfskin Reveal

I love this bag. Saint Laurent needs new styles like this. I’ve been a long time customer, but after the cassandre clutch I got like 10? years ago, I haven’t bought anything else as all the bag look similar.

There were different styles released every years before the SL era.

Too many logos.

The YSL logo is actually one I like stylistically, but agree it's getting a bit overdone when it seems many of the new designs are simply plain bags with the logo screwed on them. I saw the Icare in real life for the first time recently and couldn't believe how massive the logo was!

I was thinking, though, if I ever found a YSL keyfob or charm preloved at a good price I would get it for my bucket, though the metal would probably scratch the leather.

Cartier JUC Small in WG or YG with Diamonds

That's a really good point haha, maybe because I'm used to watches being stainless steel and I don't really wear WG jewelry aside from my diamond studs. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you!

Thank you!

Thanks!!
Ah, gotcha! That actually makes sense to me; I hadn’t considered it from that angle, so thank you for clarifying! But yeah, I still think you should go with whichever one you’re more drawn to … you’re drawn to it for a reason, and the heart likes what the heart likes! Either option will complement your stack fabulously; you truly cannot go wrong. Happy (early) Birthday, and have fun celebrating and treating yourself! 🤗🧁✨

Actor Gene Hackman, His Wife and Dog Found Dead

Of course, this is purely speculative, but it's possible that after his Alzheimer's diagnosis, Gene made some personal requests. He may have asked Betsy to help ensure he could remain at home as the disease progressed. Many people express a wish to spend their final days at home, sometimes without fully realizing how emotionally and physically demanding that can be for their families. It's all vey sad.
Piggy backing on your comment and others, it would not surprise me at all if it was spoken or unspoken that he desired to be at home indefinitely, period. It would also not surprise me if they never really had a conversation on his future (being very specific) and didn’t plan for any of their situation as it unfolded. It would not surprise me as well that she thought she was capable of doing or organizing whatever he needed over the years (and their property) and his situation and the house could have been the result of a subtle “creep”-like progression, over a long time. One crisis is all that’s needed to knock the dominos down.
My father passed away 10 years ago and mother recently passed away at age 90. They were very resistant to having any conversation around planning for living arrangements regarding their mobility/health issues as they aged. My parents were intelligent people but had so much denial and fear about their future. And that was with having several children who wanted to assist.
Since God only knows what happened in terms of the progression of his physical, mental health, what they actually discussed, agreed to (or not) regarding what he needed and what toll this took on her, I am just going to have a lot of compassion for them. My parents were both incredibly stubborn on different points for the last few years of their respective lives.

Disappointed with YSL Quality & Customer Service – Need Advice!

Hi everyone,

I need some advice regarding my YSL Puffer Medium in Suede & Denim and their terrible customer service.

I bought this bag 2 years and 8 months ago, and although I don’t use it daily, I always store it properly and take good care of it. Recently, I noticed major quality issues that seem completely unacceptable for a luxury handbag.

Here’s what’s happening:

  • The fabric is fraying and coming apart at multiple places.
  • Edges and corners are peeling, even though I don’t overuse it.
  • Threads are coming loose, and it looks worn out despite being well cared for.
I reached out to YSL customer service, provided detailed photos of the damage, and explained the issue. Their response?

  • They refused to help because the bag is out of warranty.
  • They won't repair, replace, or offer any goodwill compensation.
  • No suggestions, just a simple "Sorry, we can't do anything."
I completely understand that luxury bags have normal wear over time, but I also expect quality that justifies the price. I own bags from Chanel and Louis Vuitton, and none of them have shown this kind of poor durability.

Has anyone else experienced similar quality issues with YSL?
Did anyone manage to get a repair or replacement after the warranty expired?
Would you recommend taking further action, like posting on social media, contacting consumer protection, or using an external repair service?

I’d really appreciate any advice! Honestly, after this experience, I’m reconsidering ever buying another YSL bag.

Attached photos to show the condition.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Yikes! I just ordered this very bag this morning. Now I'm wondering if I made a big mistake. Do you have any updates on yours?

Coach Kisslocks

I missed it! 🥺

Any advice on how to get one now and/or, any info on when it will be back? Website says “coming this fall”. . .

So frustrated and disappointed. 😔

About to purchase one for $400 over retail on eBay. . . Can anyone comment how it works for work? I want to put my Surface Pro, 11” iPad in it. Will it fit?

Thanks, all!
From videos I’ve seen, capacity wise, it’ll fit those items you’re looking to carry. Practicality wise, I do not think this is the bag for that. The one strap is attached in a way that doesn’t seem like it’ll do well with heavy loads long term (unless you carry the bag just in the crook of your arm). The bag is gorgeous, but my impression is it’s meant to be a fun statement bag not a workhorse bag.

Insurance in Canada for luxury jewelry

Chubb Canada can provide a separate policy (i.e. a Scheduled Items) for insuring jewelry. My custom jeweller recommended them based on his clients' experience with no hassle claims.
Not sure if they would do handbags - but probably - since they issue policies covering works of art & jewelry.
Note that Chubb policies are offered by 3rd party insurance brokers - not available directly from Chubb - so you will be paying a fee to the broker in addition to the cost of the policy (which will be based on a percentage of the appraised value of the goods).

Mom bag

Well, now that you mention it, it’s not as long as my older one, but is still
Fine.
Just wanted to update that I got this bag and it is perfect. I wasn’t able to see it in person before I purchased it so I was a little nervous, but it really is the perfect size, lightweight and the strap length is more than enough. Thanks for your help!

Surprised Europe is more $ than US

I did a few weeks ago, and it was a minimal purchase (1400 euros). The Customs agent said I would have owed 18 dollars, but she let me go. Her colleague told me to claim every time (I go four to six times a year), but I rarely buy big things anymore in Europe. I'd instead buy here in the US (Honolulu) as the prices are about the same.

I would rather claim than I lose my GlobalEntry and, in my case, my job for defrauding the US Go

Than lose not that sheesh.
