How to remove faint smell from Chanel nylon/fabric bags (eg Cocoon Tote)?

You might try the freezer method? Which is about what it sounds like. Put the bag in a plastic bag (for a tote probably a garbage bag) and leave it in the freezer for a few days. The cold can kill a lot of scent.

Being that might not be practical for a large bag, you also could try an ozone generator. The one that I use is on Amazon https://amzn.to/3MiiQjG
You'd basically put it and the bag (still into a garbage bag 😂) and leave it for a few cycles. ozone does a great job to eliminate odor.

The "Would I buy this again?" closet cleanse!

This is a really interesting question!

I’m actually quite happy with my closet atm, although there are pieces I want to add next season.

However, I could probably manage on half of my closet.

I have no intention of clearing out my closet-when pieces become over worn, (favourite tops or leggings for example), I discard them, tailoring and leather jackets are more investment pieces..
If I were to have to rebuy, there are things I wouldn’t buy, but they aren’t going now.
I Do have mini clear outs from time to time, but I’m generally a minimalist, and everything fits me.

I keep a bag in my closet for recycling, when it’s full I donate it.

Is the Guilloche pendant safe to wear travelling?

Hi! I am traveling to Turkey and Greece this summer and my everyday jewelry items are a small Cartier love bracelet and VCA guilloche pendant necklace. I like that the small love is a little understated but don’t think the guilloche too flashy?

This is fine. I am Turkish. There are VCA and Cartier boutiques in Istanbul. Many people in stylish areas wear these items. They also sell fakes in covered bazaar so people who notice may assume they are fake. But Turkish women wear nice and also by some country’s standards quite flashy jewelry. I and the women in my family wear more flashy everyday jewelry than you describe when in Turkey or elsewhere.

Generally women in Turkey dress quite careful and well but more flashy than the US. We don’t get to Dubai Bling cast levels, but people are not shy about flashy jewelry, brand name clothes and accessories, and definitely if you are in a stylish part of the city women must have a put together look, jewelry, good makeup, and a nice blowout or other style. It is easy for tourists to stand out by being too conservative and trying not to look flashy. There is no concern about wearing these items

Addendum:
The 2005 padlock was ‘pure brass’ according to sources. This contributed to the massive weight of the vintage Paddingtona and the sore muscles of countless purse lovers.

Below is the 2025 padlock. It looks ‘shinier’ and I am not a metallurgist so I don’t know what % of metals are in it. Still weighs a bit to where it contributes to the overall bag weight

“But Weezer, why not just remove the padlock if the weight is/was an issue?”

Yes but it would just be a ‘bag’ without the infamous Padlock..albeit a lovely bag. 😉

Purchasing a strap as a spare part

Take a look at mcraft. I have an old speedy, not a bandolier as it was purchased before there was such a thing. I had a strap made by mcraft years ago so that I could use it on shoulder when I wanted.
I agree. I shop on Etsy for strap extensions and most recently a black shoulder strap for my Odeon MM. I like the crossbody strap that came with it, but it's a bit long and I like variety.

New 20 motif Blue Agate & Guilloché Necklace

My SA told me that the 20 motifs necklace was launched in the Middle East first and should be opened to other markets throughout the year. It makes sense as the new Perlee bracelets collection was also initially launched for the Middle East and then opened to the rest of the world a little later on in the year.
I would love to hear if other people have received confirmation of this as well so far! There are a lot of murmurings and mentions, and it would make much more sense than releasing it in such a limited manner, but my sales associate in London still says “no” for whatever reason. The reason I would like to know is because I sent a wire transfer to Dubai to secure the necklace, but they are still trying to source it. If I can just get it through my regular sales associate in a year or two I will see if they can refund my payment since they have not been able to source the necklace after a couple of weeks anyway.

Did I overpay for this Rolex?

I don't know about the prices of Rolex in particular but I do know two things for sure:
1) You can't trust the prices on eBay vs legitimate retailers
2) If you can afford the exact one you want, do it! Because "settling" always end up costing more in the long run.

And Rolex is like the Birkin of the watch world...it's a long wait for what you want direct from the company, and if you find one in the exact specs you want in good condition from a credible seller, jump on it! So enjoy your watch!
