Mini tank or TT panthere

They both look lovely on you! That said, I think the TT Panthere is the sensible choice, while the mini Tank is more chic and unique. TT would go with all your other jewelry, metal bracelet is more carefree, and the Panthere is a beautiful (albeit very popular) watch. I have to admit I've tried on the TT Panthere many times thinking it's the perfect watch for me because it ticks all the right boxes - and somehow every time I see it on my wrist I don't like it very much. The SS, all gold, and SS/RG with diamonds versions are prettier to me for some reason. But if you love it, you should go for it! I think it suits you purpose more.

Dooney and Bourke vs Strathberry

The bar on this bag is functional, but the other Strathberry bag I have it is decorative. The metal is not heavy. A criticism of the brand is that the hardware seems a bit cheap.

The bags are not for everyone. The signature bar is a love/hate detail.
I love the look of some of the Strathberry bags. But the one style that would work for
me, was much too small. Enjoy your new purchases. I hope you love them.

Veronica Beard Thandie leather jacket

Hi all!

It's been a long time since I have posted anything, hello everyone. I have a question does anyone have the Veronica Beard Thandie leather jacket? its not in my area and I would really like to see it in person but unfortunately the Nordstroms where I live do not have it in store. if you do have it, what do you think of the quality and fit and overall general appearance. Any info you can give me will be greatly appreciated, I am trying to make a decision on whether to purchase or not.
Thanx in advance!

Sizing up jeans to create desired look/style

@limom Fair enough, but you were pretty judgemental on me for someone who isn’t confident enough to even show your own outfits on here so I can analyze your style back. I used to wear Levi’s 501 but the material is too rough now I don’t care for it anymore they got cheaper in quality.
Here is what my belt looked like a few years ago when it was new and styled better. I loved skinny jeans and this makes me want to go back to them eventually.

Patina on new vachetta

Hi!

I noticed today that my vachetta strap for the Pochette Accessoires w/chain is not getting an even patina like the straps from my older PAs. See the picture, the top one is my newest and the underside doesn't seem to patina that much at all. It still looked brand new even though it's a couple of months old (the top has slight patina).

The older ones got an even patina from the beginning.

Is it something new with how the straps are made? Has anyone else experienced this?
That’s normal for vachetta leather.

New old Chloe

Just bought myself a pre-loved baby Paddy in black with contrast stitching. Just in time by the sounds of it as the Paddington will be making a comeback! I’ve wanted one of these (big or small) for quite a few years now. Couldn’t afford it when they first came out. So I’m so happy to have one now. She was in quite a bad shape when she arrived and I was quite disappointed. But I’ve been working on her and she looks a lot better now. I just love all the details and the leather feels indestructible. I must admit I’ve removed the padlock, find it quite annoying and heavy. White gold guilloche tarnish?

I took some current pics of my WG and carnelian compared with it when I first got it in early 22. I can definitely tell that it is less shiny but I’m
Not sure you would call it oxidation. To be fair the surface area of the WG is limited so comparison is difficult. With the naked eye it appears duller now, even compared to my chalcedony which I think I bought in 2018. I wore my chalcedony less. The WG would be unworn for months and then worn 24/7 for 6-7 months at a time by my mom. She does a lot of cleaning but no exercise or gardening. I wear my chalcedony now and then and always take it off at night, never to exercise or wash dishes or clean. I need to dig up my vintage WG and do some comparisons.
I am not sure why the tones are off. I will try again on another day.

Help deciding on preloved Caviar flap

Hi Tpfers... Been trying to decide for days on getting a preloved Jumbo Black Caviar GHW series 16. She's being sold by a reputable reseller whom I have purchased from before, holo is intact but no card. Has an entrupy.

Purse is approx. USD 4200 in 8.5/10 condition. Is this something you'd consider? I'm interested to keep for myself but also want the option to resell in the future. Thanks for any helpful advice!
Older Chanel bags are easy to authenticate, if was selling by reputable seller plus had extra entrupy authenticated, it should be fine regarding authenticity concerns.

Cartier authenticators?

Can anyone recommend Cartier authenticators? I’ve done a search of threads on here but can’t find anything

I’m trying to use legit grails but they keep rejecting this photo saying it’s not clear enough. I understand that it isn’t clear but these particular two hallmarks are incredibly feint and I have no way of getting a better photo. The second photo is a love bangle with the same hallmarks taken with a macro lense and still those two hallmarks are feint and unclear. So I don’t believe I can get a better photo. There seems to be language barrier when trying to speak to legit grails about it so it’s all proving very difficult! I’m hoping another authenticator might be a bit more understanding as my photos of the other hallmarks are all crystal clear

Thanks
I can’t recommend an Authenticator but the one on the love bracelet left is the gold Switzerland St Bernard hallmark. I can’t make out the other. The hallmarks are not the same on them two pieces.

The story of my vintage herbag

This is going to sound odd, but: have you tried washing the bag in the dishwasher? I’m for real here. I had a leather-handle designer fabric bag with a very strong cat smell (my cat, my bad!). I tried everything I knew to get that smell out, but the smell was still present. My last resort: the dishwasher. I put the bag into an empty dishwasher (do NOT do this with a load of dishes in the washer! Empty DW only!) with detergent and ran it through a short cycle. When I pulled it out later, it was very wet, but it smelled of —- nothing!
The smell was washed out at the atomic level and I smelled nothing but wet canvas and fresh clean dishwasher. Then I let it air-dry, realized I’d have to iron it, forced myself to actually iron it (I. Hate. IRONING.), and it looked and smelled great. The End. 🤗

Any Birkin 25 regrets?

It's more than worth paying the resale price for the exact B25 you want. It's certainly worth trading in 7 or 8 bags you don't love nor use.

You KNOW you will covet, admire and use your dream B25 and get your money's worth from it. I have done this exact same trade by selling my Lady Dior, Goyard Vendome, Hermes Jypsiere and LV Galleira. Truth is, once I started buying BKC... I didn't wear or even think about those other bags.

Good luck!
Same! I keep one goyard crossbody as my “rainy day” bag when I don’t want to worry about my bag getting wet.

Félicité wedding band

I purchased the Félicité band and absolutely adore it. The sparkle is amazing. My thought on diamond jewelry is that with lab created stones becoming more prevalent, the design/designer becomes more important. I know I’m in the minority on this forum though.its really a gorgeous band and I’m considering getting more in yellow and rose gold.

Terrible Ferragamo Experience

I want to warn anyone considering Ferragamo: this brand is a disaster when it comes to quality and customer service.

I have been a loyal Ferragamo customer for over 10 years and used to love the brand. I trusted their craftsmanship and service, but something has changed—and not for the better. If this is how they treat a long-time, high-spending customer, imagine how they treat everyone else.

A few months ago, I purchased eight items in one day, spending thousands of dollars, believing I was investing in quality. Big mistake. Three of the shoes I bought had major manufacturing defects—stitching coming apart, glue visibly seeping out, and scratched leather.

I immediately contacted Ferragamo for a refund, as stated on my receipt for defective products. What followed was one of the worst customer service nightmares I’ve ever experienced:

• They refused to refund medespite their own policy.

• They made me jump through endless hoops—demanding pictures, emails, and inspections.

• Because I bought the shoes in Qatarbut live in Switzerland, they initially told me to fly back to Qatarjust to have them checked. Absurd for a so-called global luxury brand!

• Then they claimed they needed to send the shoes to Italy, delaying the process even further.

• After relentless follow-ups, the store in my country finally accepted them, but I still had to chase them constantly—sending multiple emails, photos, and reminders.

• Every time I called or emailed, I was passed to a different person who knew nothing about my case, forcing me to explain the entire situation over and over again.

• Staff were rude, dismissive, and condescendingthroughout the process.

I fought for a refund for over two months. Only when I escalated the issue to Ferragamo’s C-suitedid they immediately process my refund—but only one personout of the many I dealt with ever bothered to apologize.

This entire ordeal shows just how poorly managed and untrustworthyFerragamo has become. I keep hearing about their declining product quality, and honestly, it’s no surprise their stock price is tanking.

Luxury brands justify their insane prices by claiming to offer superior craftsmanship and service—but Ferragamo fails miserably at both.

If you’re thinking of buying from Ferragamo, don’t waste your money. There are many brands that actually stand behind their products and respect their customers.

Scratches on my van cleef necklace

No need to stress. Gold can lightly scratch in a way that you may see if you scrutinize it too closely with a loupe. No one else will EVER notice.

Put the loupe away and instead enjoy those gorgeous diamonds! I have this necklace and love mine.
Without a loupe I can still see it slightly with the light on. But thank you! I feel better now.

Chanel shoulder chain, leave indentation on suede jacket?

I was thinking of wearing my chanel handbag with my new suede jacket. Will the chain leave indents on the shoulder of my suede jacket if I carry it as a shoulder bag?
Yes. Friction could also damage the side of the jacket. If you must do it, keep the bag light; limit the time the bag is on your shoulder; and, alternate sides. However, cross body carry is the worst bc it can damage the front. I ruined my favorite dolce calf hair coat this way. The safest is hand carry with delicate rtw.
