That blend is my go to for all tough stains. Baking soda oxiclean and Dawn is also a nice combo.

This is very much typical. It could be nicer, but since it is only a minor aesthetic issue, Vuitton would just say "it's handmade bla bla...". While it is both true and untrue at the same time, the reality is that this quality expected from them these days. I was always team magnifying glass before buying, but would be even more so now. One of the factors that made me dial down my leather goods purchases at Vuitton in the past few years.

I have been thinking of getting a preloved reissue bag but last night stumbled across a Chanel bag with multiple compartments. It’s like a thin classic flap with a small flap pocket over it and at the back is a zipper compartment. I like how it’s not just 1 compartment like the usual classic flap but I can’t tell if I’m intrigued because it’s interesting or weird. Thoughts? Does anybody own this bag?

I love mini bags as long as I can fit my phone there. If a phone does not fit, it is a no-go, no matter how cute or stylish the bag looks. I cannot justify spending $$$$ on a bag and still have to hold my phone. 😆

Yes, the small Frivole have two possible post locations, higher and lower. The mini don't, but the small are adjustable.

Leather will change a bit as it is exposed to the sun and that’s completely normal. (Nothing is new forever and patina is 100% natural and inevitable)

If a bag is exposed to extreme humidity then it’s a good thing to store it back at home for a while to dry out properly before using it again!

I'm only living in this place a few years and I'm still not used to the sun and humidity being so much stronger and more damaging to my skin and to things I own. ( art supplies being affected and behave differently is another big one )

I have the hobo and it's great. I've been seeing a lot of young women with the teri shoulder bag in black and they make it look good. I think for outfits its versatile but it's definitely a small bag for just your essentials.

This article seems to have gone viral. I posted this link in a post about a tpf who purchased a defective Capital bag that was the last one in the US. The bag was in horrendous condition that should have never been sold. The gaslighting from the Sa was insulting. Poor QC is on the decline for high end designer merchandise no matter where its being produced. So by reading some comments in this thread LV is producing what looks like collaboration merchandise in the Texas plant and shipping them back to the EU market to add something onto the product to put a label onto the finished product to say made in Paris, France, Italy. This information has been around for years the last point of assembly of a product this is where the tag would say.

I moved cross country 2023. We had to make two trips to close on a house and then the final move. I packed two carry ons both times with my bags and got them all moved between the 2 trips. Don’t check them bc they can easily be stolen. The first trip I left them with my family and then was able to fit the remainder on the second trip.
If someone in your household would be accompanying the moving truck it would be ok to do that but otherwise also too risky imo and you have to be careful if you park the truck anywhere. Also home insurance doesn’t cover loss or damage that occurs on the moving truck. If you can’t fit them on carry ons your other option is fully insured shipping which will get pricey .

Years ago, I wanted a metallic Lady Dior. A Dior SA had whispered to me that she wouldn’t recommend getting that type of leather. The reason she gave was that in the future, it might not be possible to do a color revision on metallic shades.

Since that day, metallic colors have been off my radar. Maybe the situation is different when it comes to Hermès leathers and dyes — I’m just sharing my experience.

As others have said, the two models are very different in style. If the 28 wouldn’t look too big on you height-wise, I would personally choose the K28.

However, since you're torn between the two, it means neither is your absolute dream bag. If it were me, I’d rather pass than buy something just for the sake of it, and wait for a bag that makes me say, “this is the one.”

I haven't viewed the latest show yet, it would be great to see something wonderful from her. I have not felt inspired to purchase any rtw or bags in the longest time. I agree that things have felt a bit lackluster overall.

While I am generally a watch person over jewelry, I chose the bracelet based on the options above.

1) Cartier small panthere with diamonds - I have the panthere TT in medium and while I love it (it is my daily watch and is very comfortable, I can sleep with it on too), however the caveat for me is that the small is very small. Many enjoy the panthere like jewelry so if that's what you intend to use it for then I understand. However, I like to read time on my watches and the small is too small for me to read personally. It would strain my eyes over time.

Also, what metal were you thinking of with the panthere watch? YG?

2) Cartier 33 YG balloon bleu w/ diamonds - I love the balloon bleu but only in SS with no diamonds lol. I think it looks best with a clean look but that's just personal preference.
YG is also quite heavy. That may or may not bother you but it is something to consider, especially if you want to wear it with bracelets.

But let’s be honest—$7,700 for a piece that wouldn’t pass a glance test on resale? Nah.
So yes, I returned the masterpiece.
No apology, no empathy, no accountability—just a weird mix of contradictions and shoulder shrugs. Honestly, if this is what rare LV “craftsmanship” looks like, I’ll pass.
Glad I trusted my gut.
FOMO cured. Refund received. Moving on.

I'm happy you was given a return. The whole ordeal I would have totally walked away from the brand. As a consumer we have the power of the purse not to accept medicore high end designer merchandise. There's plenty of complaints though out this platform just because it's made in France, Italy this doesn't always mean the merchandise is not without defects.

You won't notice it as much with necklaces or earrings; they don't get the sort of wear and tear that rings, bracelets, and watches do. Also, the type of plating and alloy used for that particular piece can vary (ie some brands Rhodium plate their white gold, some don't, some have more nickel in the alloy, etc.)

My SA told that it'll take like 15 years to wear off the plating and that Cartier would replate it if necessary. I'm not sure if he's just trying to make the sale though... I might just call the generic customer service number and ask about replating.

I wish they had the mini in SS with diamonds 😌😌

You guys were totally right!

I went into the store today and picked up the monogram eclipse keepall 45 and I love it! It actually does feel a lot more high quality than the goyard Boston 50 that I have, and the canvas is thicker! And the 45 size seems perfect as a personal item and looks great with the rimowa haha! And I see now the proportions you were talking about, the Keepall does look better for sure!
