Thank you so much for your thoughtful response — it’s really helpful to think through all of this with someone, since I don’t really have any jewelry enthusiasts in my circle. I’m pretty set on getting the mini Panthère watch, and then I might either hold off on getting another piece for now or postpone it a bit, since I do have to be mindful of my finances, like you mentioned. Overall, I’m thinking sooner or later I’ll definitely want to add a Cartier tennis bracelet — it just feels like such a timeless piece.
What you said about the JUC makes a lot of sense too. I tried the small white gold with diamonds, and it still fits my minimalistic style — the diamonds don’t feel overwhelming to me. If I go for the regular version, I’m leaning toward white gold with diamonds, because the rhodium plating really makes the gold look brighter and whiter.
I’m a bit on the fence about adding another yellow gold piece. I already have a small yellow gold JUC without diamonds, so if I get another JUC now, I’ll already have two in the same style — and I definitely don’t think I should end up with three versions of it. I do really love the look of the yellow gold JUC with diamonds, though. I’m also wondering if having diamonds on both wrists — even if one piece is yellow gold — might help things feel a little more cohesive when wearing my engagement ring. Maybe I just need to try them on together and see how it feels.
Thank you again for helping me think this through — I really appreciate your insights!
