Which one should I get next?

I am a very casual dresser but I like to dress up on date nights. I gravitate towards the more edgy look but I appreciate the beauty and the level of craftsmanship of the Guilloche.

Planning on going back to Tiffany to try the medium hardware link again so I can take a photo. Will be reporting back 🫡

Thank you!😊
I am like you, it all depends on what I am doing but I do have to say, I would wear either piece casual or dressy. I think both can add certain character to any outfit (casual or not). IMHO, the only difference is VCA is more feminine and girly than Tiffany hardware piece.

Regular vs small JUC ring

A bit of an old thread but I had the same dilemma and settled for the small. My (male) fingers are long and a bit on the thinner side, so the regular size JUC was too thick and looked a bit costume-y. I know the small JUC is probably not a statement and flys under the radar, but I do like that—and if I need any height, I can add a gold band under it IMG_2143.webp

80th Birthday present help!

I think I’ve decided to actually take her into a Tiffany store & let her choose for herself. She’s never done that before & I think it could be really special. I’ll book an appointment, let them know my budget & ask to see these pieces as well as any others they might recommend. Nearer the time I’m hoping I may be able to up the budget a little too. I’m secretly eyeing the rose gold graffiti “Love” ring so it might be cool if we both pick something.
This sounds like a fun day! Memories in the making.

Goyard after-sale doesn’t respond? And 3rd party repair?

Did you contact After Sales in Paris or a different city/country?

I did get my handles repaired for free some years ago in Paris. Tbh I wasn't sure if After Sales would even reply as they seem to be terrible with replying to emails. But was able to get an appointment in Paris and that also made it possible to jump the queue... had it sent back to me after 2 weeks and it was all free. But that was back in 2021.

To Sell or Not to Sell

Boy does this sound like sci fi. Can you point to a single online listing of an authentic 30 Speedy in very good to like new condition at that price?
---
To OP, sell it unless there's any chance you'd want it in the future. Unlock the equity already, it's doing you absolutely no good hanging around.
In fairness - when I was looking to sell my speedy B (authentic and in almost new condition) the sold listings on eBay were around $1000-1200. FP sometimes can fetch more. However, it also pulled up non bandoliere finished auctions and I was VERY surprised to see that most of them did, in fact, sell around $250-500, with a large majority in the $300 range. (Classic monogram and in very good condition. I didn’t spend a lot of time looking for outliers or perfect ones, just gauging general listing prices.) I was very surprised. It’s a tough market. Speedy Bs fetch more than reg Speedy 30s. Mono seems to fetch more than DE or DA.

That said - I recommend putting it into your rotation for a week or two and see if you really enjoy it or can see yourself enjoying it. If you’re not in a huge rush, consign it for a higher price and wait and see what the market does! You don’t always have to go for the immediate fast sale at lower pricing. Sometimes the right buyer comes around!! (Things I tell myself while I have listings LOL!!)

Brand new Keepall 25 Gradient defect/return

Congrats on your metis and I am sorry the keepall didn’t work. I have the same bag and don’t have the puckering, if I do it’s very minimal and not to the point of returning. That was awesome to exchange it with the luggage tag stamped. I didn’t think they would…..
I thought it was going to be an ordeal, and was so pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t. The LV goddess (I think her name is Louise?) must have been smiling on me.

Red Montaigne Emperiente

I went back to the store again and pushed to speak to the manager. He dropped it from 600$ to 200$ and completely refused that it is a default bag. I said yes at the repair because I don’t think they would have helped me further. Now I don’t know how will they replace the handles, as I don’t see this color anymore in the bags. I will wait to see what they will say. They said I have to pay the 200$ once they change the handles and it could be 6-8 weeks
They are a bunch of amateurs. At least the price is much more reasonable. But even so, my guess is still that the French repair workshop won't even touch it, they have proper knowledge about what bags and generations had these known issues. They will send it back, the store will be like "we are so sorry, they could not repair it, but feel free to choose another products". Vuitton seems to have very low standards these days, not just with manufacturing but with employee training as well.
If they could actually replace the handle, that would be a literal miracle.

Cartier next piece - looking for advice

Thank you so much for your thoughtful response — it’s really helpful to think through all of this with someone, since I don’t really have any jewelry enthusiasts in my circle. I’m pretty set on getting the mini Panthère watch, and then I might either hold off on getting another piece for now or postpone it a bit, since I do have to be mindful of my finances, like you mentioned. Overall, I’m thinking sooner or later I’ll definitely want to add a Cartier tennis bracelet — it just feels like such a timeless piece.

What you said about the JUC makes a lot of sense too. I tried the small white gold with diamonds, and it still fits my minimalistic style — the diamonds don’t feel overwhelming to me. If I go for the regular version, I’m leaning toward white gold with diamonds, because the rhodium plating really makes the gold look brighter and whiter.

I’m a bit on the fence about adding another yellow gold piece. I already have a small yellow gold JUC without diamonds, so if I get another JUC now, I’ll already have two in the same style — and I definitely don’t think I should end up with three versions of it. I do really love the look of the yellow gold JUC with diamonds, though. I’m also wondering if having diamonds on both wrists — even if one piece is yellow gold — might help things feel a little more cohesive when wearing my engagement ring. Maybe I just need to try them on together and see how it feels.

Thank you again for helping me think this through — I really appreciate your insights!

Vicarious shopping is a big reason I come on here. I also don't have too many people around me that appreciate clothes or jewelry in the same way I do. It is so much fun to discuss choices with people. Even if it isn't in person, it's still really fun! :)

How to get last minute pieces before the price increase?

I ordered a YG guilloche 5 motif bracelet earlier this year and it took 8 weeks for me to receive it. When I ordered it she said it was at a good time because I am locked in for the price I paid and won’t be affected if the price goes up. THE BRACELET IS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. My SA asked if there was anything else I wanted to order before the price increase, I declined since I don’t have anything else on my wishlist from VCA at the moment. I highly recommend you place the order for the guilloche.

celine repairs

Bought a Celine purse for my wife in December 2024. Zipper broke in May 2025. ?Normal wear and tear
Nothing but a run around when we call about it except they continue to allude to a possible charge for repairs...

If this happened to my Gucci or Louis, a new purse would be on the way.

Not how I would have expected from a reputable company!

Buyers beware!

Patent leather or nappa leather louboutin heels?

I have both patent (black and nude) and nappa (black) leather CL and I recommend patent over nappa.

My patent heels hold their shape and structure very well. Since they have maybe only a little give/stretch over time, you'll need to make sure you get the right size.
On the other hand, the nappa heels have stretched out too much and I've only worn them maybe a dozen times. It's annoying because now they slip out from the back when I walk.

The nappa leather is quite delicate, within a handful of wears I nicked the tip and took out a chunk of leather.
Patent is very durable and can withstand most scuffs. Though if you get a deep gash, that's pretty much the end of it, as it cannot be repaired and the piece of leather probably needs to be replaced.

I have no issues or concerns wearing my patent heels in the rain. The nappa I don't even dare to try lol.

Like @patentlover said, patent has that wonderful shine that stands out. It's a great way to stand out with more neutral tones (like black and nude), while still having versatile heels in your collection that can mix and match with everything.

International Exchange

Hello Everyone!

I just wanted to know if anyone has ever attempted an international exchange? I bought a bag recently in Europe and wanted to exchange it for a different color. I live in the US. I called and emailed customer service and they told me to go in store. I don't want to waste my time going if they won't honor an exchange. Does anyone have experience with this?
