Mini Flamenco clutch vs purse

I have both. I think I prefer the clutch to the purse for practical reasons because it holds more and I prefer the strap but I still really like the purse and the chain makes it more dressy but is more decrative for me than functional as a strap. The purse is more soft and malleable and its very light especially without the chain. I haven't noticed any scratches on either

New store opening Frankfurt, Germany

VCA will be opening a store in Hamburg/Germany on Neuer Wall. I saw a huge advertisement on the building, saying "Coming soon...". So I wrote to the customer service and they answered opening will be later this summer.
I have seen job ads for Hamburg a few days ago. Finally we have some VCA presence here in Germany :)

Smile Earrings as “Climbers”?

Does anyone wear your Smile earrings vertically like a climber (right picture below [random picture from a Google search and not my own!]) instead of horizontally like a classic smile (left picture below)? I’m lacking in white metal earrings aside from martini studs and am considering the new diamond mini Smiles. I like the idea of wearing them 2 ways for versatility but am wondering if they might look silly vertical. Thanks for your input!

Belmar 35 Janine

LID: I know just how you feel.

I love the look of the Belmar woven drawstring, but I have to be
honest... I know that drawstring bags are not the most functional for me.
I have to hand carry my bags. The straps on the drawstrings mean the bags
drag along my legs.... I don't think that looks great. And also, bags with a
longer strap feel heavier when they swing. I think it has to do with physics
and arcs or something. I don't know the reason, but I know the bags feel
heavier when I carry them.

This week I carried an 'old' ostrich embossed Dooney drawstring. It's actually
not a heavy bag. But because of the strap length, the bag was not comfortable
to carry and seemed heavy with my stuff inside.

This should cure me and I should stop buying drawstring bags...I bought
2 this month. But I like the look of the drawstring bags and the satchels
are getting boring/repetitive or too small for my needs in the current releases.
Of course if I took the money I spent on the 2 new drawstrings (great buys),
and a little more than doubled it, I could have had the woven Belmar.

Scratched ring repair?

Oh no!

My take: you have to be very careful what you ask for with polish and repairs at Cartier.
They can lightly buff, or polish to different degrees. Polish will remove metal and they sometimes will not explain the differences.
So before you ask them to do anything, ask them to spell out the varying degrees of polish and buffing so you can make a choice without unnecessarily losing metal on your ring.

How to find the best secondhand bag options? Best marketplace?

I also think fashionphile has high quality, authentic bags at good prices. I've seen some on Rebag but not sure if they're as reliable. I have bought from vestiaire collective which is more individual sellers but I haven't had a bad experience yet.

Some sites enable you "save" a search and be notified if a new item that matches your keyword search appears.

Bag repair question - Ripped Belvedere

Thanks for your replies. I definitely need this fixed by Goyard since they would need to replace this little leather strap that ripped.

I contacted Goyard through their website and received a reply back in less than 24 hours. I’ve been asked to send in pics and details of my purchase for them to assess and give me next steps. I will update this thread when I get a reply etc so others can have a reference.

Its not like I would mind taking a trip to Paris. I mean, how else could I get the bag to them, lol. ;)

Servicing for Mini Panthere Watch?

Wow, I had no idea about the seven-year rule. I have a pretty old panthere, and the first time I took it in for major service, it was $ 420, and that was in 2000. I am heading to Honolulu soon and was thinking of taking my tank in for its first major clean-up and service - it is 22 years old and has only had battery changes, and seems to be fine. Not sure I can stomach the cost of a major clean at this point. I use my Apple Watch most of the time now. I'll text my SA and see what she says.

Looking for dimensions of the Tiffany Victoria Earrings with Akoya Pearls, 0.36 ctw

I don't own these earrings, but I have found that if you start a Tiffany online chat, the customer service representative can look up the dimensions for you.
I just did. Thank you for the tip. I got the length but they could not get me the size of the flower. I will try again.

It could be by any brand I dont see anything at all that excites me about this bag unlike the Saut or Sandrine,or Halzan which all have something 'interesting' about them.
This is very 'meh'

Destree Frank S Bag – No Clasp or Closure? Purchased from Saks

Hi everyone,

This is my first time posting, and I’m hoping someone here might be familiar with this bag. I recently purchased the Destree Frank S bag from Saks.com. It arrived with hardware on one side, but there’s no clasp, magnets, or any type of closure at all. It honestly looks like something’s missing, but I can’t tell if that’s just how the bag was designed.
I’ve searched everywhere and can’t find much detailed info on this specific style not even what collection or year it’s from. Has anyone else purchased the Frank S or know more about it? Just trying to figure out if this is a design flaw or if mine is defective.

Thanks so much in advance for any insight!
If you recently purchased this from Saks, I’d have to refer you to Saks. It sounds like you had no idea what you’d purchased… they’d be the best to assist. The photo on their site looks just like the bag you have. It appears the weight of the clasp is what keeps the bag ‘closed’.

Reviews on Easy Pouch on Strap?

Can anyone share their reviews and photos of their bags? I am eyeing the chocolate color as an easy grab and go for casual days. I know it’s small but I’m wondering if it holds phone, keys, key pouch and the new key pouch S catch all. Thanks! (I think chocolate sold out so I’d go black then)
I have the easy pouch in turtledove and loved it. It is a very easy grab and go bag. I always used it crossbody and it was my going to zoos or museum bag with my granddaughter. In regards to the size, your phone will fit, maybe a card holder and slim keys. I don’t think it would fit all the items you mentioned though. It’s very slim profile. My daughter in law has mine but I’ll ask her to send pics with items inside. (She’s pregnant so it may take a minute 😂)
Hopefully someone else can add pics with the items you are interested in adding 😊
It’s a great little pouch, but it is small.

Mini or small frivole pendant?

Have you had a chance to try them on? See what suits you when you visit the boutique.

For me, the mini pendant is a bit too small for my personal preference (and the mini earrings don't work well for my ears because unlike the small size, they are not adjustable. The small earrings have more than one option for post location, whereas the minis have fixed posts.) The mini looks great on others, though.

I don't find the small size too flashy and would wear it with casual as well as nicer outfits. (I own two different pendants in small pave rather than small mirror but am familiar with the mirror finish from other pieces, such as earrings and a bracelet.) The WG stands out more in the mirror finish compared to the RG or YG, so maybe choose one of those if you want it to be a touch more subtle. All are pretty in their own way.
No I haven’t been able to try them on. The time I’ve been to a boutique, they didn’t have the pieces I wanted to try. I would love a RG mini but with diamond so I’m leaning towards small since I can get that combination in the small size. Glad to hear the small works with more casual clothes too.

"JellyCat-Esque Birkin" Furkin Bag

It's here.
Chase says there's something different about this bag. Sniff sniff*

Juicy Couture and its sudden resurgence?

Are they actually being sold at that price?! That's absurd. Back then, I paid $158-$288 retail for some of mine. In my opinion, they are not worth more than $35.00 resale.

The one you posted is hideous looking to me. But there's always something for someone out there.

In hindsight, I should've kept the bags instead of donating them. (Even my family and friends didn't want them as hand-me-downs)
They indeed are :confused1::doh:
I personally collect them because I always drooled over them as a kid, but obviously just being a kid, no moolah lol. It's definitely a nostalgia factor. I miss the days when you'd find them for that $35 price. Somebody sold one for a crazy amount, so now everyone with an old Juicy bag thinks they struck gold. Check out the resale sites sometime, get ready to have you heart drop to your feet lol
