I purchased one in 2019 and I’ve only carried it a handful of times. It’s robust and seems water resistant if that’s important to you. I realized, after making the purchase, that it is not a bag that suits my casual style and current needs. Your wardrobe and lifestyle might better accommodate it. It’s beautiful, for sure. HTH.

both look beautiful on you, especially in hammered. although rose gold blends with your skin tone, just note that rg does look even more rosey in day/sun light (I’ve noticed this with my sweet 16). yellow gold will always pop.

So black mini chevron reissue. I wear it with denim or at night. Usually with dark colors or neutrals. I don’t take particular care and it’s held up well

I also have bags with ruthenium hw. They’ve held up well too

From my experience the toe box is always tight regardless of the size. I am mostly always a 40 but I have a pair of the lambskin with patent toe flats that are 39.5 and a pair of older second hand, lambskin with patent, that are 40. Both fit almost the same. I would be hesitant to go 1/2 size up because I think the lambskin ones do stretch in the back and sides over time.

When I'm working from home, it depends on if I will have to be on camera or not. In summer, it's either a nicer plain tshirt and comfy lounge type bottoms or a more casual tshirt if no calls. I most often wear a bra during the work day but more of a bralette with no seams or fasteners, sort of a second skin material.

In winter, I'm in sweats and sweatshirts, also dependant on how they look from the chest up on calls.

I will put full makeup on if I have to leave the house later. Otherwise, just concealer and foundation and I hope my glasses hide the rest!

I have separate flip flops, slides or Ugg slippers that are only worn inside the house.

Look wise the bottega by a country mile but as @bagnut1 mentioned up thread the strap on the BV doesn’t look comfortable especially if you load up the bag.

We actually prefer the designer stores along or near the Blvd Saint Germain. The experience is far more relaxed and personal. They usually have a good selection; if what you want isn’t available they will check if the other Paris stores have it and then have them reseve it for you and set up an appointment if needed. On the Right Bank, we generally stick to the Avenue Montaigne.

Note: the Blvd Saint Germain YSL store is right next to Ralph Lauren. I am not a big RL fan but Ralph’s, their pretty garden restaurant, is a great lunch spot — fab crabcakes. (reservations required)

The snake pendant does not rotate. The chain goes through a small loop on the pendant to maintain the position.

Congratulations, and the colour is sooooooooooo lovely. I have a hard not getting a second, but the white is glorious and Modern.

You have a similar story to mine but for different reasons. For me, it was lack of confidence, I wasn't sure if I was that 'off-duty, urban, model cool girl' that always seemed to be pictured with the bag. I could do down-town vintage or up-town high-fashion, I didn't know if I was a City girl in dirty denim and tech. Fast forward a 'hundred' years (OK, till SS '24) and I no longer care about style tribes - or maybe they don't mean so much generally anymore.

Believe it or not, I’ve seen a couple that have gotten matte and as a result lighter in color so they looked great at a distance (I prefer lighter green), but of course horrible up close). I wish they’d do the translucent greens again like the agate or chrysoprase, those are my favorites, but I forget which one, doesn’t age well either.

New to purse forum. Forgive me if I’m posting in the wrong place…. I recently acquired a second hand Gucci signature hysteria bag made from ivory leather. I took it into the wild before using any protectant and it’s my 1st time spending so much on a bag, so really don’t know what I’m doing. It’s not in bad shape or anything, but I know I need to clean it, condition it and use some sort of protectant. Do you all recommend Apple products for cleaning and conditioning and gaurde for protection? Will these darken the leather? The handles definitely look a bit darker in general. Will cleaning get them back to the regular ivory or do I need to send the bag in to Rago Brothers for restoration & possibly dying darker? I’ve always been pretty rough with my purses and just used them, but I really like this one and want to learn how to care for a nicer purse properly. Thx for any guidance!!
