Defective lady djoy and underwhelming after care experience

Thanks everyone for your kind words! I have bought two other Dior bags in boutique and have had no issues. This is my first bag purchase online and unfortunately the experience has been horrible. I don’t know if I ever want to buy from Dior again at this point.

Still haven’t heard back, sent another email about two days ago where I expressed my disappointment and asked again for an ETA on next steps. I’ll give them another few days before I reach out to Amex and see if they can help me.

colors for redheads

Agree with papertiger that it’s more about skin tone than hair color. I’m a natural redhead with pretty pale pinky skin, and I do wear rust and gray, though certainly not all shades of gray. Like you, I stay away from grass green and many yellows. And pretty much never brown, at least for a top or a dress, though I love it in handbags.

I think the suggestions about combining the top with another gray and/or statement pieces or things that will highlight its texture sound really fun.
I ordered the grey top...will see how it works
I also picked up a lighter brown tee yesterday....kind of a milk chocolate color....a trial - may be ok for me if not as good as blue and black...something different

I will always obsess over 1973

Oh, I will look out for a lizard, thank you.

The med python was around £2.6K (UK)

Even £3+K-ish is not bad for lizard considering the prices at Hermes. In the early 1990s, my father ordered my mother a custom lizard 'Lady Lock' 30cm (just called a 'Lock' on the receipt - and it actually measures 29cm at the widest point on the base) that was over £3K even then.

Can we see your beauty? :graucho:
Yes back then the pricing was aswell nicer. I mostly buy second hand nowadays. I was "vip" customer at some point but then the dionysus came and I stopped buying. I never liked those. Now they finally make the classic jackies and so on, but I dont enjoy the new prices🤣

I Will make a family photo of all one day! I think maybe when I come home from vacay saturday. Would love to see yours!

2014 glazing issue melting my louise...

This is great news. And kind of the least that they could do. For exotic clients retouching edge paint should be complimentary by default, but with the infamous 2014 paint mixes, this should apply to everyone.
They will do a great job. Just one more piece of advice: please use it, the product will thank you for it.

I have no idea how I could not have known about it. In sweden I posted in a Facebook group and those ladies attacked me like I was doing some witch craft and needed to burn in h... for not being aware.

Anyway, THIS TIME she Will not be in the collection room because I Will use it as I should have 🤪💕

New to Chanel, do you have to play the game?

Lol people dress in all sorts of ways at Chanel. I've seen very casual to some very put together looks.. to some very skimpy night club outfits lol. I have received the head to toe eye check many times which just makes me feel so gross because you can sense the judgement.. but I ignore it. But they don't all do that. Don't think my current SA has ever bothered to notice my outfits or acted judgy in anyway, too occupied for all that nonsense.

New Chypre Wallet-Pouch

Would you mind posting a photo of the strap doubled up? Thanks!
Just posted (I think I did it correctly!). Honestly not sure if I’d wear it like this since you have to probably readjust the strap every time you opened the bag, but it’s another option! It was on display this way on the shelf.
Such a great idea!
I think you can probably loop the strap to make it wear as a single strap but shorter (so a shoulder bag instead of a cross body).
Such a great idea!
When I was trying to figure it out just now, I was able to loop it to make it a single strap but shorter (so a shoulder bag instead of a cross body). So, a third option! lol.

In the market for a new SA after my favorite left

I have a wonderful belated update!

Shortly before my appointment (again, this is out of town for us) my husband had a medical emergency and needed major surgery. I didn't know if he was going to survive. 😥 It was a horrible time. I of course cancelled my appointment. My husband since that time this summer has made an extraordinary recovery over the past few months! We decided that we wanted to reschedule because the ring I had wanted, a large JUC ring with diamonds, had even more meaning.

Naturally I wanted to meet with the SA with whom I had connected over the phone this summer after not having a great experience with another. Before I contacted her I saw the new small version of the JUC ring and was so glad I didn't get the larger one at the time since I love this one more. We spoke and she said she was going to be out of town this weekend but that she would set me up with another SA (SA#2) and let him know. I reached out to SA#2 yesterday before we made the trip and he said he wasn't made aware that I was to meet with him, and that I would be meeting with another SA (#3). Sigh. So then I received a text from SA #3 this morning while we were on our way to confirm the appointment which I did. When we arrived a different SA said she would be assisting me (SA #4).

At this point I was so over magical anything and just wanted my beautiful ring and was thrilled to be there with my healthy husband. I gave up on finding the right match for me, one as lovely as I had for a few years before she left.

This SA delivered the magical experience I hoped to have!

My husband and I were freezing from our walk from the train to the location. We were brought water and chocolates followed by hot tea to enjoy but also to warm my fingers for trying on the ring so they would be less constricted for accurate sizing. Once I picked my size that allows me to wear it either on my left index finger or my right hand middle finger, she brought out a bottle of champagne.

This is where she really shined!

My husband and I do not drink. I thanked her and told her as much. That is where it could have become a disappointing moment, or she could have made me uncomfortable. Instead she said that she had something extra special for me and that she would be right back. Out she came with a bottle of a non-alcoholic sparkling drink with a beautiful gift tag ornament attached! That meant so much to me and my husband. I also got a cleaning kit and travel pouch.

If anyone is interested in meeting with my new Boston SA, feel free to message me for her name. She gave me permission to do so. You won't be disappointed!
How I love this experience of yours! I love unexpected experiences that turned out beautifully memorable. My juc ring is my most favorite, yes, over my love ring. Good health, peace and joy to you and hubby!!

Is this bag too big on me? Come and give me your thoughts? ☺️

I think you made the right choice and it looks fabulous on you! I own both sizes and prefer to carry the gm size. I’m 5’5” and slim. I always carry it cinched in…it looks chic and feels more secure. I own the white in the pm size only because I don’t want to risk color transfer when wearing denim.

Keep or return?

Glad you're enjoying it!

In terms of rarity, while others will inevitably have it on social media, also recognize that the opportunity to buy the same H bag/color/size again will likely only be available if you go the resale route, where the prices are often inflated and authenticity becomes a concern. Buy what you love.

White topaz

I have a white topaz ring that I've had for years. The topaz gets dirty easily with skin oils, etc. and that blocks the sparkle. I have to clean it after each time that I wear it. Otherwise it looks cloudy, dull and dirty. The sparkle does return after cleaning. Still, it's a hassle. Diamonds don't have that problem.

There may be something about the surface of white topaz that attracts dirt easily, as Pevi has found.
