Thank you all so much for sharing your advice and thoughtful insights. It’s incredibly helpful to have so many opinions, and it really made me reconsider rushing into a purchase. I’ve decided to take my time and try on more options, including Rolex and smaller sized AP, before making any decisions. I really appreciate the guidance and will hold off on buying anything for now!

Mine are PM because I’m small and the MM looked like luggage on me. Buttttt I love how the MM looks on other people though!!!!

This article says that the bags were being made in 2011, so I'm kinda just jumping to my own conclusions - it could have closed because the French side doesn't get enough cruise ship tourists, it was too close to the SBH store, or a number of other reasons!

I just find it suspicious that the store closed around the same time of the bust, the rumour from an SA, and that there are posts on here about easily getting QBs in 2010 at that store... but, again, even though I trust the SA, it's just a rumour at its core!

I never came to know there was an Hermes boutique in St Martin, but Hermès closed a plenty of boutiques in Europe and opened more in Asia and USA all these years.

Echoing others here— pictures are needed. No matter what, if you are dissatisfied with the item, you should, as you mentioned, talk to your SA about options to rectify the issue.

I'm really glad that you tried it out at home and still are able to return it. I only figured out that weight is the #1 factor for me in totes after thousands of dollars of mistakes...
If you love YSL, as far as I remember the Icare maxi tote felt surprisingly lightweight. Also, the new Le 5 à 7 Supple seems lightweight, although I have not seen this one on person.
To me, nothing beats Goyard, in terms of weight.

(We have another meaning for glass hair in Norway, and that is transparent hair that does not get colored. Sadly, I have a lot of that).

Prior to today, I'd never heard of this company nor have I had any experience with them.

I am cross-posting (both in the Coach subforum as well as the general shopping sub) because this is a warning that should be heeded by ANY buyer of highly faked items and brands.

After doing a search of the site, Legit App / Legitapp.com, I saw that some members have used them.

Although I found a fake Coach bag they authenticated, I went to their website and saw that they do sneakers, watches, clothing, jewelry, accessories, shoes, and luxury handbags (Hermes, Gucci, LV, etc.) as well as other brands.

Their site advertises, "LEGIT APP offers professional authentication services for a diverse range of luxury items. Our expertise extends across eight categories."
and
"LEGIT APP Authentication is your trusted partner for verifying the authenticity of luxury goods. Powered by a combination of expert human analysis and advanced AI technology, we provide accurate and reliable authentication services for a wide range of items, including handbags, sneakers, watches, and more."

The particular Coach fake I found that they'd authenticated had very obvious and multiple discrepancies that should NOT have taken an expert to accurately judge.

Because we've seen "verified authentic" items from various professional companies, it's always a good idea and doesn't hurt to ask on the appropriate TPF subforum.

If they make this obvious a mistake, I can't even imagine how many other mistakes they may have made.

Hi everyone I had a question. I’m thinking about buying this vintage chanel chain belt from a Japan seller for $102. But I’m not sure if it can be saved with it being so tarnished. What do you guys think? Can I get it replated? Is it worth getting or do I pass? Its from 1982

It's cute but nothing special. Shape and logo reminds me a little of the Gucci Blondie but not nearly as interesting. Don't see this version on the US website only different version without top handle or medium size with top handle. Any way you skice it, i keep seeing Gucci Blondie (comparison photos attached) and can think of better things to spend a few thousand dollars on personally.

Oh it’s funny it’s Really quite similar even though Gucci is not from the lvmh group but I am on the other hand not very surprised cause I always see some design here & there inspired from each other in the world of luxury. I am not a great Gucci bag so haven’t noticed. Interesting share , thanks ! Maybe the bag isn’t launched yet world wide.

That item might be a carryover & not have been part of inventory that would have been marked

My petite has maintained it shape and wears well. My 17 yr old gd has it now. I dont think the petite size will get that peekaboo slouch due to the size but in my large Lee bags I do get the slouch when I don't have big bulky or tall items in the front compartment. When I do it makes the bag look more structured.
