Customization help please!

Something I learned with my Coach Create: Being there in person to show them placement is best. They will secure the pins to the bag where and in the orientation wanted with masking tape. Take a picture and hand them take a pic for reference since things can move. That way, if it's not what you ordered, you have something to go back to and have it corrected. I didn't do that with the rivets I ordered and while I paid for the rivets (they come in a bag), they didn't place all of them. The bag was shipped to me and the hassle was too much for me to go back and get the others out on.

Personally, I prefer the placement in your reference photo. It looks better to me.

Is this bag 24k gold plated?

Hi everyone! I recently became the new owner of a satin Chanel evening bag. I know based off the authenticity card that this bag was made between 1986 and 1987. It has very pretty chains that appear to be yellow gold color. Although I have NO info on this bag, it is my understanding that older Chanel would have been plated with 24k yellow gold (if the hardware was yellow). Is that only for the Chanel CC logo, or ALL hardware? Thanks! IMG_7011.jpeg

Alma bb missing clochette, key and lock? Is a replacement possible?

Thank you for your very helpful response.
I will try for a luggage tag...been wanting some for a while now.
No problem. Be aware that they will only sell you a luggage tag if you own a piece that came with a luggage tag, and even then, will only sell you the exact size/color luggage tag that originally came with said piece.
Edited to add: I've been charged $100 for replacement luggage tags, regardless of their size.

Vintage Constance 18 or Wait

I agree with what everyone else has written.
The 'wait until exactly what you want comes along' is the safest course of action.
Also, if you are offered something that isn't quite what you want,
the ' politely decline ' advice is the right thing to do.

Perhaps consider the Constance from a different perspective:
it seems to be something you hadn't been thinking about, but now that it is, as they say, 'on your radar' this could be an opportunity to buy something you would like to have and use.
So you should consider all the practicalities and make a decision on that bag, separately from the Birkin. Realise they are very different bags, with very different functions.
If you decide a Constance is for you, you need to consider the other options with the Constance style, to be sure that this would be right; it is a classic and probably would be what you would want.

Then do all the due diligence of condition checking, ask obvious questions if the seller (e.g. damage, smell. . . ) check authenticity
The more you do, the better informed you will become and the more confident you will become with any future purchases. Don't kid yourself that this will be your one and only.

Petite Valise, Handle Trunk and more!

October is my birth month. This year, I am blessed to travel with friends to France. In Paris, I made an appointment at the LV flagship to check out some trunks. Saw this Petite Valise in Reverse Monogram and it was love at first sight! The SA informed that this version is a seasonal piece. Happily took her home with me.

My dear gf got inspired and also took these goodies home as well:

These dust bags have LV letters embroidered, and the drawstring has a leather tag attached.....We also had our tags hot-stamped as well.

Chanel shopping bag thoughts

I buy to use as well. I’m awful at selling anything. I do worry about it being lambskin as I plan to use it as an every day bag. Also, this is the tag. It doesn’t have the purse picture on it, so doesn’t that mean it was a return? It was shipped from another store.

I used to have this bag and I gave it to my sister because I didn’t wear it. It’s really beautiful but I personally found it a little on the small side compared to a GST or a deauville tote.

Although the colour is gorgeous I would definitely not buy this type of bag in lambskin. They come in caviar leather also (mine was black caviar) and it will be so much more practical for this type of bag. Lamb will show wear very very quickly if you plan to wear it often.

Ordering Direct from Floris US Site

In contrast with my experience ordering direct from Creed Boutique that I shared in a previous post, I have had three excellent ordering experiences. Each time my order shipped later the same day or first thing next morning, so that from the time I ordered to time in my hand it's been three days tops! Plus my husband and I love the fragrances. You also get a free sample with each order.

Balenciaga city 2019. Too dry, cracked?

No, you don't. Prioritizing black with silver is perfectly reasonable. The bag will change as you live with it, and soften. It will always have something of a glaze but also it "breaks in." I have a 2016 Small City in black with silver hardware and it's one of my most favorite and most used. Its texture looked like yours to start with, plenty of creasing under the shine, and is now way more relaxed and less glossy.

While it's true that older bags have incredible leather, they aren't always "matte," if you mean having no light bounce. Some are, some aren't. Bal leather quality is very diverse, so dead matte isn't really the rule.
Thank you! I guess i just have to get used to it. I still think its beautiful tho 🥰

Selling Love Ring - what to expect?

Well, a good start would be to see what Vestiaire's listings are for similar items.
And if you're not satisfied with them, then check out other pre-loved sites such as Fashionphile and their pricing.

Wear and tear is a huge factor for determining resale value but also if it comes with the box and certificates.
Size is also very important.
Like shoes, the most common ring sizes are easier to sell, more in demand and fetch a higher price.

Expect to lose around 30%, especially for a ring that's been worn for 5 years.
Worn luxury jewelry tends to take a hard hit when it has wear.
I also feel the resale market is a little oversaturated with Cartier at the moment.

Just my 2 cents. Good luck!
