How do you shop for your bags?

When I got my first job in high school and could finally save up for some LV, the closest store was just a counter inside of a Macy's at the mall. My mom worked in the mall at that time, so I would frequently end up there hanging out and drooling over the LV bags. As a result of this, I got close to several of the SAs. I loved this because they were SAs who were passionate about the brand like me, and very knowledgable. I miss my first SA, Joel, he helped me pick out my first ever LV bag! If I hadn't had his guidance, I would've gotten something else entirely (a messenger bag that I wouldn't still be using because it would be extremely dated looking). Joel showed me a tote bag from the same collection and assured me that totes are more timeless. I still use that tote for travel to this day!
He also found a long thin piece of vachetta with a buckle on it, it was supposed to be the strap for a phone case or something, and sold it to me to wear as a bracelet - another item I still own and use! He knew I was on a budget as a high school student, and that was much less expensive than any of the actual bracelets they were selling at the time.
Fast forward to today, I'm living a 2.5 hour drive from the closest store and the few times I have been in, I have had mixed experiences with SAs. I definitely do not have a SA these days, which is kind of sad. I know some people on here have mentioned having a SA that just works at the 866-Vuitton line, I would be interested in how that works. If I'm buying something new directly from LV these days, I typically just order on the website or though the app.
I have had some great luck on eBay finding authentic vintage pieces. Overall I'm leaning more towards vintage pieces these days because of the massive quality differences. I've also bought from ReBag before and found some good deals, one thing to know about them though, is that while they do accept returns, they charge a restocking fee.

Dior crystal / rhinestone Limited Edition makeup bracelet necklace pendant

Back in early 2000s Dior did an exclusive incredible range for makeup collectibles. They were GORGEOUS. I have been on off looking last 20 years and I dont recall they release them again ? Or have these range been rebranded ? I would love to start this collection again. Would love to hear if anyone knows of this range.
I imagine they could be be found on eBay, or similar sites.

Florentine medium toggle crossbody?

The Flo Toggle crossbody comes in 2 sizes.
The medium is a nice size and holds a good amount.
Be sure to check the measurements before ordering one....
over time names change and descriptions aren't always
obvious if you don't know what to look for.

Both sizes are beautiful handbags. They take the style
of crossbody bags up a few levels with their design.
Most crossbody bags look very 'functional'; the
Florentine Toggle Crossbody looks like someone
designed a fashion accessory.

Help me with my wishlist!

After all, I don't actually need any of those bags, but I think they're cool, so I want them.
Same, girl, same! Haha. Your post resonated with me because I also live a casual life…mostly work at the hospital, and what time off is usually a date with DH and maybe a day of errands in jeans/t shirt/vans. So technically don’t need any of these beautiful bags but agree with you, I think they’re so amazing and I want them too!

I love the idea of the Kelly elan, like others have said it’s a nice transition to day and night. I don’t have one but others posting it have convinced me I want one in my life too lol. My contribution would be a Lindy, either mini or Lindy 26. I kinda like the idea of the 26 because you have shoulder option or handheld/crook of arm for a more dumpling shape and it can hold a little more too. I may be projecting my wants since the Lindy 26 has been intriguing to me hahah.

Zodiaque pendant - worn 3 ways!

I picked up this Pisces pendant (on 70cm trace chain) recently, and I absolutely love it. It’s another solid, care-free option to add to the rotation.

Pictured with a few different chains:

1. The longer chain that comes with the 1 motif magic pendants, doubled

2. A 20” non-VCA chain that I liked the idea of, but I think it bothers me that the chain isn’t shiny and doesn’t feel sturdy. Plus the yellow color doesn’t completely match the pendant color. It’s 14K hollowed gold.

3. The 70cm trace chain, fastened on the jump ring

I think all these options are good, for different occasions / outfits.

The trace chain is kind of an awkward length for me. It works when I wear higher neck shirts, as pictured. But with a lower-cut top, the pendant sits right inside my cleavage, which isn’t a good look haha

I really love the chain though, so I’m seriously considering purchasing a second trace chain, and having a jeweler shorten to 20”, so then I can also have the option to wear it shorter, on a VCA chain.
I found this to be very helpful. How are you finding that you normally wear the pendant?

I do not have a magic long (and therefor no 90cm chain) but I am debating purchasing 2 70 cm trace chains and having a local jeweler make a 90 cm and a 50cm chain
