I am new to the colourways and leathers produced by Hermes. Am obsessesed with the shade of browns that Hermes produces for their bags. Are their browns seasonal or produced only in certain years? They seem hard to come by, e.g. chocolat, ecorce, ebene.

Does anyone have the same obsession? Which shade of brown do you currently have? Pics please 🙂

I'm more drawn to the WG but not sure if it will look/feel "off" against my skin since I have warmer undertones. I would also be open to other suggestions. Thanks!

Today Fashionphile customer service told me FP outgrew both NM Palo Alto and SF locations. Fashionphile will be opening a selling boutique (both buy and sell) next month in San Francisco on Geary Street around the corner from NM.

They are still considering other locations in the bay area. Sigh... I hate driving to the city these days.

Oh get this. Our local Neiman Marcus stores can be used as Drop Off locations when consigning items. I reminded him, there is no Fashionphile Service Desk. He said customers can drop off their consignment items at any location within the store. The process is started on-line of course.

Sigh.. I don't feel comfortable doing this as I plan to consign at least 6 items. I best get ready to drive and hoof it to the city.

I need some advice regarding my YSL Puffer Medium in Suede & Denim and their terrible customer service.

I bought this bag 2 years and 8 months ago, and although I don’t use it daily, I always store it properly and take good care of it. Recently, I noticed major quality issues that seem completely unacceptable for a luxury handbag.

Here’s what’s happening:

• The fabric is fraying and coming apart at multiple places.
• Edges and corners are peeling, even though I don’t overuse it.
• Threads are coming loose, and it looks worn out despite being well cared for.

I reached out to YSL customer service, provided detailed photos of the damage, and explained the issue. Their response?

• They refused to help because the bag is out of warranty.
• They won't repair, replace, or offer any goodwill compensation.
• No suggestions, just a simple "Sorry, we can't do anything."

I completely understand that luxury bags have normal wear over time, but I also expect quality that justifies the price. I own bags from Chanel and Louis Vuitton, and none of them have shown this kind of poor durability.

Has anyone else experienced similar quality issues with YSL?
Did anyone manage to get a repair or replacement after the warranty expired?
Would you recommend taking further action, like posting on social media, contacting consumer protection, or using an external repair service?

I’d really appreciate any advice! Honestly, after this experience, I’m reconsidering ever buying another YSL bag.

Gene Hackman, the screen actor with iconic roles in The French Connection and Superman, has died. He was 95.

The actor and his wife, classical pianist Betsy Arakawa, were found dead at their home in Santa Fe Summit on Wednesday, reported the Santa Fe New Mexican, citing County Sheriff Adan Mendoza who confirmed to the outlet that the couple had died, along with their dog.

Mendoza added there was no immediate indication of foul play in the deaths, the outlet added. He also did not provide a cause of death or say when the couple might have died.

I'll post my experience like I promised - to the "next gen" who would like to buy one especially from European Union which is tricky - Brexit means customs and London is a big player. First Birkin - B30 in blue electric is mine. You advised me so well. Perfect size for me, perfect color - it pops but it's not too crazy, so it's my taste. I can wear it during the whole year and day to almost night. I have mostly black bags. I wouldn't buy a B25 yet I'll let "fate" decide Kelly sellier 25 vs 28. I need to see one first. The pics are often misleading depending on the lighting.
So my first thought was - I cannot have a too similar Kelly to Birkin. Too dark of a blue is out now. I thought about blue Celeste (my first obsession out of nowhere) as this summery bag. Might be "only for summer". I wonder though if it's not too pale and washed out? I saw one picture with both and blue electric looked gorgeous, celeste as if someone didn't finish painting. Again, might be lighting. Blue Frida, de Nord crossed my mind.
I want a jewel toned bag. BV parakeet - that's what I'm looking for basically during the summer.
Yellow - I like the look of it but it's not my color. There aren't that many colors left. My friend suggested me pink. What's your take? Some I find too pale, some too pink, Barbie pink. I try to imagine myself *5'9* wearing a tiny pink bag. I like to think I look young. I have one colorful dress that's mostly pink. Just one. During the summer I wear colors and white.

I’ve been wanting another pendant necklace to replace the “fake” that Neiman Marcus took back from me. I’m not interested in another single Alhambra though. I have a 10 motif BA and a 20 motif WG MOP so I wear both metals. asked my SA to bring in a Fleurette to try on in white gold. I had tried it on in Milan in rose gold and really liked it. I tried it on and it just felt too insignificant. My SA had me try on the YG pave tow butterfly which I absolutely loved. I was surprised because I had never considered a butterfly. She brought in the small lotus in WG for me to try on Saturday. I know this is a personal decision but I would love some input. The butterfly necklace seems like it’s so expensive compared to the lotus. I would love to hear people’s opinions on the two necklaces.

I really want to add to my LV wallet collection. I currently have the Sarah wallet in DE. I like long wallets so I've been contemplating the clemence in mono/fuschia, zippy in mono/fuschia and/or possibly the emilie.

With regards to handbags, I have an extensive speedy collection...the trifecta of the classic 25's, 25b in DE and DA, 30b in DE and mono, 30 classic in my heritage. I have one graceful mm in DE. I'm contemplating purchasing the either the speedy 25b in mono or the graceful mm in peony. At times I find monogram to be flashy so I don't really gravitate towards it a lot. I'm considering both bags in monogram well because they're so fabulous in pics and I have seen the graceful mm in peony and it's stunning. But....stunning also has to justify cost and that the item would be worn and not sit in my closet. So, I need some help deciding please.
