New to me Rogue!

I had a gorgeous Rogue 25 in dark green with simple gemstones around it (like the river border) that was destroyed in a basement flood over a year ago. Barely used and it broke my heart. It was gorgeous and I got a great price for it.

I’m moving and my awesome mom gave me her original Rogue 25 in “Utility” green with pebbles leather, black straps, and a gorgeous midnight blue suede interior. Barely used. I’m so excited!!! Wondering what key fob I should choose to complement it!

Go with a 30 or 35?

Hello,
I am a long time TPF er who mainly lurks. My first Birkin was in 2008 and it was a 35cm Ardennes leather in Vert Fonce. My current Birkin is a 35 cm in Black box and I do love it… and I am considering adding a gold bag for everyday too…
I am considering the inconsiderable- a 30cm bag.
Can you all help me decide?
I’m a 50ish, average height, average weight (for an American) woman…. Career professional.
Would a 30 cm bag be too small? Look out of proportion to my size and age?

Thank you
Maya

Which Hublot watch would you choose ?

I’m stuck on the two ..I’m gravitating towards the rose gold because it’s more classic Hublot Big Bang style but I’m not sure if it will look too masculine

For watches i have
1- All gold Rolex 31mm date just with diamond bezel
2 - rolex yacht master two tone
3- Cartier tank stainless steel with diamond
4- all rose gold omega constellation
5- blvgari serpenti tubogas in rose gold/steal with diamond bezel

I just want a Birkin

For the longest time, I didn't care about owning an Hermes bag but don't know why I had an epiphany, suddenly I thought maybe a Birkin isn't such a bad idea after all much to my husband's chagrin. So I started doing research - ugh, depressing - "need a spending history", waitlist for years, must have relationship with an SA, etc. I want a brand new, 30 or 35. But won't pay double or triple the retail price. My conscience wouldn't let me do that. I'm planning to go to Europe in the fall, should I try my luck over there? But I should probably expect it's not going to happen even if I try in Paris or wherever we land in Europe. So what's my other option? Or should I just forget about Birkin unless I'm willing to shell out more for a preloved? Should I keep trying at my local Hermes stores or anywhere in the states, if I'm traveling to a city that has a store?

Replacement chain for vintage Chanel

I purchased an vintage Chanel bag and the dodgy seller had removed the original strap and put a replacement one on (and a crappy one at that)

I’m in the process of trying to return it to Vestiaire but worried they may not accept the return and given I only paid about 700 USD for the bag which is in otherwise good condition and genuine I was thinking I could replace the chain strap with a better quality one and keep it.

I know Chanel won’t help me and I am in Australia so leather surgeons is out can anyone recommend a way I could get a decent replacement strap?

Diesel D1 bags

So, these have been branded the new “it” bag for the rest of the year. It’s very much playing into that Gen Z Y2K throwback — which I have a love/hate relationship having been a tween/teen at that time.

They’re not terribly expensive, which I think is part of the appeal. And with the right styling, I don’t hate them.

Trying to figure out where they’re made, though. They’re leather, which automatically makes me more interested than, say, a Telfar.

Has anyone snagged one? They’re easy to come by in Japan, and the exchange rate makes them about $150 cheaper than US retail. The black one is tempting.

Dior Lizard or Chanel Classic flap bag??

Hey guys I need some advice.
We just got our first Dior store in Norway on Friday this week. I have since got my eyes on this Lady Dior Micro in lizard in white.

I love white bags! I already have mini Kelly, ostrich and a special order in white from Hermes.

I’m thinking of selling my chanel classic flap bag in black colour with golden hardware (caviar, medium).

Do you think it is good to sell the Chanel and buy the Dior lady in lizard or otherwise? Mainly thinking of which bag is most popular and hold the highest value.

Small Boy Bag...Should I?

I don't own any boy bags currently, but the light blue boy from 22B is really tempting me with that silver hardware XD

Can any long time boy bag owners share some info as to the pros and especially cons of the bag they found during use? Would you overall recommend the bag? I've been watching YouTube reviews, and so far the only consistent con is that hair gets caught in the two pegs on the shoulder strap.

For reference, I typically like medium CF/255 and small trendy CC.

MK 20 if you could pick…

If you were given a choice on what leather , color, and hw what would be your dream MK?

In my fantasy life, I would love a matte Croc Vert d’eau or 5p bubblegum but as I am a mother of a young child with sticky fingers and often more in my leggings and tees, I would probably choose chèvre or legacy because I truly love box!

Blue Brume and stitching?

Starting a thread for people to share/discuss interesting factoids (or fallacies) they’ve heard or learned while shopping with Hermès over the years.

I’ll go first:
  • Gold, Étoupe and Blue Jean are the only colors that use white contrast stitching instead of tonal switching (excluding SO’s)
  • The Constance is more demanding in terms of craftsmanship than B or K
  • All non-SO B’s are lined in chèvre mysore
  • Something I find interesting: There’s a veau monsieur and a veau madame

I’m sure some of these might be common sense to the seasoned client but I still found these facts(?) interesting when I learned them. If any of these are not true, please let me know! Would love to hear from others to collectively expand our knowledge horizons:drinks:
I have a Blue Brume and if my eyes do not betray me, that color has contrast white stitching too! Can any other Brume owners can concur?

I had dreadlocks done today and love them

I had dreadlocks done today and love them.Been on my bucket list and did this for a new chapter in my life.I always wanted to have this done and are staying.Easy to maintain and and my husband loves them too.The lady that did them was waiting for me and had the tools to do them ready to go.Sat there with her going to work.I know how to maintain them, one is spray essential oil mixed with distilled water on the scalp. My husband has been supportive of me having this and sees I am very happy with them. Will be fully mature within a year.

Engagement ring advice

We are currently in the beginning stages of making my engagement ring. It will most likely be a 3ct emerald cut diamond but I’m also considering 2-3ct as my finger is a US size 4 and I am a petite girl.

Please advise on size! Also if anyone has a similar ring and finger size please would you show me some photographs of the ring on hand?

I am debating between getting it because I will love it and worrying it will look far too much. I don't want shrinkage and to end up seeking an upgrade in the future - I want one and done!

Color for bearn wallet

I’d like to replace my current LV wallet with a compact bearn. I was imagining getting it in a fun color but I recently saw it in black with ghw and wondering if that would really be the better bet. Black is classic, would go with everything, and would hold up better than a light color would. The one I saw was in epsom leather.

I have 2 black H bags, 1 gold, 1 etain, and 1 rouge casaque.

I have a habit of getting wallet boredom and replace what I use every few years, but I’d like this to be a real long haul wallet.

Am I best sticking with black or should I still hold out for something more fun? I always say that Hermee does color so well and yet I own mostly neutral bags, two which are black!
