I invite ALL opinions on this bag. It's from a 2013 limited collection from when Marc Jacobs was the creative designer for LV. It's the Damier Speedy Cube PM. Cream leather with brown velour (?, not sure). Is it just TOO retro? I just purchased it and hope I made the right decision. Lol. To each their own I know but I would still invite people's input on their first reaction when seeing this bag. Does anyone own this bag or at least seen it in person? I've never seen it in person. Thanks to all in advance for engaging!

Exotic bag worth it?

I am new to purchasing lux bags. My first bag was a second hand Fendi KanI bag. Currently, this new Fendi Peekaboo python exotic caught my eye. The price tag is $6500, I feel that’s high, although, maybe expected for an exotic. For this price, I was hoping to score something more exclusive such as a Hermes 25 during my trip to Paris, next month. Or, consider a Moynat. I really like the Fendi as this newer model is more structured, has feet and swivels for the straps and looks like a Kelly. The python strap was a bit rough on my bare shoulder, too. Last concern, Fendi seems to resell for 50% or less. While I don’t plan to resell my bag, it seems like these bags don’t hold their value like Hermes or Chanel. Overall, I am trying to justify the high price. If anyone has any perspective, I’d appreciate it.

Help wanted! Repair help needed!!

Hello all, I’m hoping someone here can help me out who may have had a similar experience. Has anyone recently had a clasp break on a crossbody strap, and just have the clasp replaced? If so, how much was the cost?

My sis in law has been trying to call client services and is getting the run around and when she first spoke to someone they told her to buy a whole new strap. Has anyone just had a clasp like this replaced?

Ysl mini camera bag discoloration

I purchased the mini camera bag in the black color from Saks back in May. I noticed a 1 inch wide strip of discoloration on the leather from top to bottom. I don't know if it's always been there or happened with use, but I've only used it maybe 5-6 times. I have no idea what it is, I tried to clean gently with a cloth it but it's not coming off. I'm very careful with my bags so I'm positive it wasn't anything I did.

How good is YSL about addressing issues and replacing bags if they are defective? Will they help me if I purchased through Saks? The problem is that the only Saks around me is 4.5 hours away but there is YSL at a mall nearby.

Scarves Should be Allocated on a PER CAPITA BASIS! I seek JUSTICE and CHIC-NESS!

Ok so here I am again lamenting how Australia has the (chic) Hermes dregs once more. So you know that I am crying into my vintage silk square and not a disposable tissue like some common plebeian, here are the objective numbers.

Country------Population (mill)--------Hermes Scarf designs for Sale (not twilly size)-------Per Capita Quota-------RANKING
France---------67------------------------------792---------------------------------------------------1:84,500-------------2
Australia-------26---------------------------270 (bad but not as bad as the yanks!)---------------1:96,300-------------3
USA----------329----------------------------940------------------------------------------------------1:350,000-------------4
Singapore-------6-----------------------------387----------------------------------------------------1:15,500----------------1

So here you have it. Want to know why the CRAZY RICH ASIANS of Singapore look so chic? They have the best chance of buying the coveted scarves! This is outrageous! Meanwhile those of us suffering Down Under have to not only content with having NOTHING TO CHOOSE FROM- a slight over exaggeration... we see everyone else 'picking the eyes' of the entire collection and leaving not one for us.

Yes, I am lamenting the poor choices for my turkey neck and I am feeling the urge to buy a scarf.... if only there were ones that I wanted!

Coussin- will it stand the test of time?

Hi everyone, I wanted to get your thoughts on what you think about the Coussin as an investment and its ability to be used season after season, year after year. Do you feel it's classic enough? I think the style is simple enough to stand up to time.

I recently bought the gorgeous Camel color and it's really so beautiful. I'm a little worried about creasing, but I generally am not careful with my bags and don't mind a *bit* of wear and tear. It does check all my other boxes though- versatile, has crossbody strap, can be day to night, fits everything I need, has compartments, is very comfortable.

I haven't carried it out yet because I'm debating if I should return it. It's very expensive, yes, but I also got it in France for basically 40% off of what I would pay in the States with my local tax! But I know I shouldn't keep it just because I got a good deal. I love the Chanel 19 as well but it's a bit dressy for my taste. The Coussin fits my casual sporty style.

I guess I just want to be able to justify my purchase, and not get caught up because it's a trendy bag. It really is gorgeous to me and I know I can get use out of it. But want to hear your thoughts. Thanks!!

Bottega Veneta Spring/Summer 2023

Hi BV Fans,

I just saw the youtube video of Matthieu Blazy's SS 23. I must admit, I did not mind the bags, but I love the RTW a lot. It reminded me of SS 2017 (The 50th Anniversary), but it has more modern cut. I also saw that Blazy's cut were back to being feminine and masculine, less asymmetric clothing and more on classic and tailored. However, i really hate the denim. :giggle: In any runway show, I hate seeing denim. I think they are good for pre collection but in a runway show they are more likely fillers. What do you think? I can't wait for more close up photos of the bags and rtw though.
