What to layer with a Vintage Alhambra Grey MOP Pendant

Hi Ladies,

I'm really considering what necklace to get to layer with my Vintage Alhambra Pendant in the Rose Gold with Grey Mother of Pearl.

I originally thought the Sweet Alhambra 16 Motif but am growing more hesitant -- I want to have a choker like string, the pendant and then a longer string -- I fear that the Sweet 16 may be a smidge too short for this.

I should also mention that I have a number of earrings (Roberto Coin, Maria Tash, etc) and don't want my face to look too 'busy'.IMG_0676.JPG

Stella McCartney bag has glue stains appearing!

I don’t use this evening bag regularly. I went to get it out the dust bag and noticed staining around the edges. I can only presume it’s glue. I emailed the (online) shop I purchased it from and they said because I bought it in Jan 2020 there’s nothing they could do. It was expensive, not my most expensive but a decent amount of money. So what happens when bags we don’t wear a lot degrade in their dust bags? Has anyone else experienced this?

Pochette Metis still a good buy?

Hi guys,

hoping to pick your brains a little bit. I'm considering getting the pochette metis either monogram or reverse mono. I have always loved the silhouette of the bag (it reminds me of the coach court bags which I loved back in the day). Now the problem is, I live in a country where there's no LV store. I'd be having a friend pick it up for me. If there are issues with the bag I won't be able to return until I'm traveling again. I guess I'm asking, given the history of the quality issues with these bags, is it worth the risk to get one knowing I won't be able to return it anytime soon?

Thanks for all your help

Question for those of you who have bought B/K from resellers

Hello - I just bought a Kelly 25 from a reputable reseller and want to get a twilly/pegase for it. For those of who you who have bought QBs from resellers before, do you take your bags to the boutique? I'm a bit afraid my SA will judge me/think poorly of me which will then reduce my chances at getting a QB from him in the future. What has been your experience with bringing a QB that the boutique clearly can see you bought from a reseller (or obtained through other means), because they can't see such a thing in your profile?

My SA would know I purchased it from a reseller because just one month ago we were talking about walking through my first QB wishlist next time I come into the store, so he would know I didn't purchase my Kelly from a Hermes boutique given I don't have one in my purchase history.

Thanks in advance.

Is it better to have lots of different bags or a limited number of meanigful bags?

Do you think that buying lots of bags takes a little bit the "magic" away?
I mean, nowadays online we see lots of people buying lots of bags, especially because they have to show them, and also because of their value and because reselling them is quite easy. (Especially brands like Chanel and LV)
Ten or twenty years ago having a luxury bag was something very special both for those who were rich and for those who weren't and were saving money for months and years to be able to afford one. That bag was an high-quality product, made to last forever and be timeless and beautiful..
Now it's just another bag that you buy, when your mind is already set on a next one. For some people, shopping luxury brands is almost like shopping at H&M, or at a vintage store, and purchase after purchase, the magic of buying, owning and wearing these kind of bags, isn't really there anymore.
What do you think?
Is it better to have only a limited number of special bags, bought at a certain time of your life, which you really like and are going to stay with you forever... or do you prefer having a large collection of lots of bags for each brand without any specific meaning or intention of keeping them forever?

Sentimental heirloom bags for your daughter...

Hello, my daughter is turning two this year and I am already thinking about passing down a couple of bags (in mint condition) as sentimental heirlooms to her when she gets older. My top choices are Hermes Birkin 25 and Chanel Classic flap in medium size because I think those bags just won't lose their values in the foreseeable future at least. Which bags would be your choice of heirloom bags and why? Any input and idea would be greatly appreciated.

New Dior Saddle: Goatskin or Calfskin?

I will be in Paris in about 4 weeks and I will be looking to pick up a Dior Saddle bag. I have wanted one forever and as a kid would regularly take my mom's original saddle from back in the day to play dress up! I noticed the french website has a grained calfskin option and a grained goatskin option. What is the difference in terms of durability / wear and tear? Is one better than the other or is there no preference?

Price reduction on website????

I purchased this GG matelasse mini top handle bag a few weeks ago in the Amsterdam airport. At the time that bag was showing as $2980 on the US website. That same bag is now showing as $2590. I know for sure it was originally $2980 because I was considering exchanging it for a different style bag that was also $2980.

I always thought the original price in US $ was steep for this particular bag. Is it possible that price was wrong and they’ve corrected it? Or if an item isn’t selling well will they lower the price?

I love the bag but am fairly new to Gucci so just curious if this type of stealth price reduction happens from time to time.

Cartier home

I just purchased a Cartier blanket! I love it so much. I’m currently in Japan and was able to snag it tax free for only 995 USD. In the U.S. it currently retails for 1,510 USD plus 7% sales tax in my state. I decided to go out on a whim and splurge while I’m here. I’m eyeing some of the porcelain next but probably won’t purchase this trip.

Does anyone own any Cartier home?

Ophidia Piping Issues

Definitely!!! $80 toward the next bag!!!
Sorry for the delay. The cream colored beauty finally arrived today. The pictures are attached. I had a quick question. You said your leather was cracking on the bottom of the bag. I decided to take a look at mine as well and it looks like it’s more of a design but let me know if yours looked like picture number three.

Profit Is Not A Dirty Word...but I have to laugh!

My whole Poshmark seller experience has been an education. I just spotted a D&B bag I sold for $75.00 and they buyer has it listed for $315.00. That is fine with me. It's the second time this has happened this week, but it makes me wonder why some of these sellers didn't buy more from me. I closed up shop and gave stuff away.
