My biggest concern is the durability of the leather of the marmont bag, I know it’ll drive me crazy if it dents or gets creases but I feel like the marmont is classier/dressier.

Hi all! I was out looking for a good sized tote bag for every day use. I was immediately drawn to the LV Carryall MM, but I am a little bored of LV monogram (not to mention some concern about the leather in the rain). Instead, I ended up buying the Jumbo GG Ophidia tote. It’s WAY louder than anything else I own (I have a bunch of understated leather bags), but I really liked the colors and the leather bottom. Now I’m second guessing myself. Help me figure out what to do! Do you have either of these bags? I need something I can use in any weather to carry whatever i have on me and more (no small bags this time). Is the jumbo GG too much? I usually wear neutral solid colors.

So I’m really liking this bag. However, it looks like it is copying the LV Coussin bag. I like the Evie better but I’m worried the chain makes it too young for me. I’m in my 60’s but nobody actually feels as old as they are. I’d post a pic but not sure how to do it. Does anyone else like it?

I just got this as a gift form my husband and wondering if this is a high maintenance bag? Does anyone own this? My first YSL. What do i need to know?! is the leather ultra delicate?

I'm planning out my next purchases, and have to decide between the small frivole pendant and another 10-motif (likely chalcedony or tiger eye). My current collection looks roughly like this:
A mini frivole pave bracelet in YG that I wear every day.
A pure alhambra MOP pendant that I wear occassionally. (Along the line are my three Cartier pendants (YG) and Tiffany Fleur de Lis Key Pendant (WG) that I rotate.)
A hammered YG 10-motif that I've been adoring all the time since I got it.

My next purchase will be the sweet clover perlee bangle and it will be my first bangle. I'm still deciding between YG and WG, but leaning toward WG as I'd like to add variety to my collection. However, at the same time, I'm a little concerned about mixing metals.

Hopefully by the end of the year I will be able to fund another item priced aroung 10k USD. Now the question begins: do I add another pendant to make a frivole set (I'm thinking YG but also open to YG)? Or do I do another 10-motif in a stone? Again, I'm considering exploring WG more so maybe chalcedony will be a good option.

The pendant option seems safe, but would I end up with too many pieces of the same function? I'd love another 10-motif as it really works for my wardrobe, style and neck shape, but somehow it doesn't seem as carefree and wearable as a pendant, which you don't need to take off. Also possible is to add a perlee signature bangle, but I'm not sure whether I will enjoy wearing bangles yet.

As you can tell, not only am I open to too many jewelry choices but I also feel perplexed about different metal choices. I'm fairly new to VCA and would appreciate the advice of experienced buyers to help my map out my coming VCA journey. Thanks in advance!

Hi I have been offered a 2008 speedy in good condition but without long strap and lock for £300 is it worth it?

Being here in the US, I had been thinking about this over the past week and figure this comes up from time-to-time, but I have been so puzzled that when going out to somewhere that warrants being dressy, no one else really dresses up. If all of these higher end brands and designer clothes/heels/boots are being bought and sold out in stores and online, you would think to see at least someone else dressed just as nice, but ever never do. What you can tell is someone wondering where did you get that or they are just mesmerized into a stare over the look as it seems foreign to them.

Is the new dressing up considered wearing jeans for everything?

I recently signed up for Poshmark hoping to get rid of some clothes. I have never bought anything on it (I only buy from department stores or the designer directly). I was browsing and found some shoes with a great price. I should have known it was too good to be true. I received a clear fake. You cannot tell in pictures, but its clear they're fake when you put these shoes side by side with the real ones.

I submitted a refund request, but was denied.
Can you appeal? What can I do?

Hi everyone! I was browsing online and came across Mirta and saw a gorgeous bag there called Licia which was made by Carbotti. I was so curious that I went to the Carbotti website and saw so many gorgeous pieces there that are Hermes inspired but not a direct copy. I thought the bags looked great and the price point is incredible too. Some are even Croc embossed which I am thinking of getting.

My questions are... Have you ordered from Carbotti before? If so, what is the quality like? Will the bag last? Also did you go direct or via mirta?

I didn’t see a post regarding shopping in Paris for Dior so I thought I’d start this thread. I’ll be going to Paris at the end of November and was curious what stock has been like for bags and shoes. Any insight from those that have been recently would be appreciated!

I recently purchased My ABCDior (aka Lady Dior Small) from a reseller in Japan. I bought 2 Chanel bags from them before, which were both authenticated afterwards by TPF recommended Zeko with zero issues. So when I saw this practically brand new lady dior pop up, I didn't hesitate to pull the trigger.

However after receiving it (and paying a hefty duty invoice and everything), I couldn't help but to feel a few things are "off"...and with all these rumors of super reps floating around, I started to feel paranoid this one somehow slipped through the crack.

I posted on the Authenticate This Dior thread but also looked for a paid authentication service to put my mind at ease. With Chanel and LV, there seems to be go-to specialist for the brand, but I couldn't find any for Dior. After digging through old threads on TPF, I decide to go with Authenticate4U based on everyone's raves.

I sent payment and photos over the weekend, and was notified that their Dior authenticators don't work over the weekends but they can attend to me during the weekdays. Well it's end of day Thursday and I still haven't heard back, which is making me feel extra anxious I feel bad having to keep bothering them.

What is the normal expected turnaround time from Authenticate4U? Also I wonder if I should reach out to another authenticator at this point - if so any recommendation? Because of the potential of dealing with a super rep (hopefully it's just all made up in my mind), I want to find an authenticator well versed in Dior.

Any advice and thoughts are welcome. Thank you all in advance!!

BBB is closing a bunch of stores including one near my home. I'm sorry they're going. I didn't buy much in there but got a steal a couple of times on rugs. I stopped in there a couple of weeks ago. they had discounts but not that great. yesterday I went in there and many of the shelves - whole departments - were bare. I wonder if they sold all that merchandise or if they shipped some of it to other stores. anyway, sorry for the employees.

Kelly 28 in Rose Grenat. It’s kind of neutral in red family not so obvious like Rouge Casaque. It’s wearable and very elegant, nice pop of color with my wardrobe (which is a mix of color and neutral). It’s a quiet, sophisticated red that’s great for both summer and winter imo. Enough of my rambling hope you guys like it

I saw this limited edition Hourglass today in one of the Paris boutiques and I had to ask the sa about it (pretended I don’t know the brand to see how they sell this to customers).

They told me this is a super limited edition, didn’t mentioned Kim K, and it’s almost 3k EUR.

I hold the bag and it makes noises because of the plastic touch and it feels cheap/literally like if someone passed tape around it.

I don’t want to offend anyone that likes this model and sorry for the joke. I love Balenciaga, but sometimes it’s though to handle it, had to share it here

I have a keepall 45 with the single zipper style similar to the original speedy (leather tab for locking on one side). The actual zipper pull broke-as in it's still attached to the slider, but it is broken and the part used to grasp the zipper. Given that this is a vintage style item, does anyone know if the boutique/repairs department would be able to replace the zipper, keeping the original single-zip feature intact? it's part of the reason i originally purchased the bag. I ordered a kids Moncler jacket but it was too lightweight for me. I returned via their USPS return shipping label on 9/28. Nordstrom received it on 10/3. After 1.5 weeks I contacted customer service to see what the status of my refund was. They said it takes up to 14 days to process. Since then I’ve been calling them for my refund and I get an email today my refund was denied because I sent them an empty box?? I did return the jacket inside box and sent them screenshots of the box weight I received originally and of the USPS drop off receipt box weight. It’s the EXACT same weight proving I did indeed return the jacket. They responded back that the delivery research team has to abide by the returns department decision that no jacket was returned. I sent them another email to double check again and if I don’t receive a refund I will file a dispute claim with my credit card company. No response from Nordstrom yet.
Has this happened to anyone before? If Nordstrom still denies my refund what are my chances with my chargeback dispute claim? I regret sending back return via mail since it was over $700
Any help would be appreciated
