Hi all, I have a Saks gift card I’d like to use to buy a Messika ring but my local Saks don’t carry the brand. I googled and think Saks in NYC carries Messika. Does anyone have a good SA to recommend? Thanks!

I am very frustrated by the lack of quality of clothes.

Wool sweaters piling, cotton shirts impossible to iron and not look constantly wrinkled. My white clothes losing their spark.
I tend to keep my clothes around 2 years. I have also noticed that I keep higher brands, more expensive items, longer 5-7 years. They are also more foundation items and less trendy.
My mum keeps hers forever...how? She only hand washes them. She doesnt buy Zara but doesnt buy high end either...

I have noticed that my beloved pieces from H&M and Zara pile after just only a few wears, especially the sweaters/pull overs. But also a jacket that was on the cheap side at 20€. I try to wash sparingly and cold water but machine, to avoid the sweat smell.
The jeans hold well, but the cotton items don´t iron well and lose their shape. I can´t keep replacing just to have decent looking clothes on me.

So....Zara but only the higher priced items? I must admit I really like the style, so its really hard for me to say no.
I have ventured towards Shein and I was disappointed everytime, so on top of the guilt of supporting an awful brand, I also wasn´t happy.
Items from brands like Cos or &Other stories tend to hold pretty well, and the price is around 100€/item.
Brands like Zadig & Volatire are a rip off, 300€ for a shirt 100% viscose isnt worth it.
And yet, a cheap skirt from Uniqlo that I love I always wear it and it´s perfect on its second season.

Lately, I got a few items from a few reputable brands I wanted : Figaret for shirts and Eric Bompard for cashmere. Its too early to tell.
But a pullover from Prada also piled after a few wears.

What are the brands worth it? What are the items that tend to NEED to be more expensive or better quality? And what to look for?
Do you hand wash your clothes? Or use special product to keep them white and shiny?

Hi, experts! I bought a Neverfull MM with Cerises interior 2 months ago to replace my 15-year old Neverfull GM.

I noticed the stitching is crooked at the part where the double stitching is.

Attached some pics. I know LV quality isnt as great as before. I had the leaf heatstamped with my initials so Im assuming i cant take it back and it’s been 2 months already.

Does this happen? It wont really bother me if this is something that’s “common” but it would bother me if it’s considered a defect.

Which retinol serums have you had good experiences with?

I have been thinking of getting a preloved reissue bag but last night stumbled across a Chanel bag with multiple compartments. It’s like a thin classic flap with a small flap pocket over it and at the back is a zipper compartment. I like how it’s not just 1 compartment like the usual classic flap but I can’t tell if I’m intrigued because it’s interesting or weird. Thoughts? Does anybody own this bag?

Would you be able to tell what this patch (appeared inside interior pocket of Cara mini) is please? It looks like a massive leather glue residue, but I can't be certain.
This secondhand bag arrived today in excellent condition. The previous owner barely wore it and wasn't aware of that patch.

I have a serious question to ask and unfortunately, could not find any information online. Hence, I am reaching out to the experts here.

I have 2 Kelly Retournes and have only been using 1 of them. Recently, I brought out the other Kelly Retourne and noticed that when carried, it has a weird slouch over the top. I also felt somewhat of a bar behind the top flap. I don't recall observing this bar with my other Kelly. As I am travelling and have no access to my other Kelly, can anyone please confirm if they could feel a bar between the handle and the sangles at the back of the flap?

Is anyone still using their micro bags or moved on? I find myself reaching more for clutch with chains or vanities instead of micro bags lately. Do you still see a space for a micro bag or is a trend that’s well past? Would love to hear more

I’m looking for a new ring which I could wear easily everyday on my right hand ring finger. I currently own a YG semi pave Cartier panthere which I wear on my middle finger and a YG perlee clover ring which I wear on my ring finger (not at the same time!) I also have my wedding set in platinum which I wear on my left hand.
I wear a bracelet stack on my right wrist which I interchange a bit but all pieces are either YG or RG (hammered Alhambra, Clash, Love, JUC, MoP Alhambra).
I find the Panthere and perlee clover a bit much for everyday and am basically looking for something completely effortless for my right hand in the same way my wedding set is on my left hand.
Primarily I was only looking at YG rings (due to my bracelet stack) but now I’m wondering if something in WG would work if there is not much metal on view and is mainly diamonds?
Options I’m considering are-
1.Frivole single flower ring in YG pave
2.Fleurette ring in WG
3.2x YG perlee bands to stack either side of something like the Félicité eternity band.
4.Socrate 1 flower in WG (think this might be too dainty though).
I’ve attached photos of my typical stacks with my panthere and perlee rings.
Any thoughts or advice are very welcome!
ETA- other pieces I have are: hammered YG Alhambra pendant, holiday pendant 2024, YG 10 motif tiger eye, YG zodiaque pendant. For earrings, I alway just wear diamond studs and small selection of Maria Tash studs all in YG.
I’m not considering an Alhambra ring as with my bracelets and necklaces, this is a little too matchy matchy for me personally.

I haven't been able to view these in the store but will be getting them as a gift.
In the size small YG FRIVOLE earrings, does the post come with ability to move to upper or lower position? Or is this just in large?

I was watching a shoe leather care video and the person mentioned that certain exotic skins do better in certain climates, so choose your skins accordingly.
However the video didn't go into more detail, so that had me wondering a few things:
First is this accurate that certain skins like snake vs gator vs sharkskin fares better in different climates? Or do they all do best in a drier climate?
And if so, which does better where?

Hi! I am hoping for your experienced opinions regarding an everyday white gold bracelet. I prefer the flexible style over the bangles. I would like it for everyday but I take off my jewelry for showers, sleeping, cooking, cleaning, etc. I am otherwise fairly active and clumsy so it will bear some trauma. My current pieces: WG pave sweet ear studs, WG WMOP bracelet and VA ear clips, WG medium perlee pearls of gold ring, Cartier Tank Must small, wedding set in platinum. I love my WMOP VA set but I want an all gold bracelet option for everyday wear. I realize this is completely subjective but would love other opinions. Thank you in advance!

My thoughts:

1. Six motif pave sweet bracelet: Is it too dainty? Would the flipping drive me bananas? I've seen flipped photos and though not obvious I definitely see the different I would not get the five motif due to budget which is flexible but I cannot wrap my head around it and I worry it would be a bit too much for everyday.
2. WG guilloche: love the art deco feel, love the scale, flipping not an issue, but scratching and dirt catching is a problem, and is it too blingy for casual wear?
3. 5 motif WG hammered: by far the best choice, durable and understated. Problem is its SO or MTO and I doubt I would ever qualify because I don't want a huge collection, just a handful of precious pieces, or wait for a preloved one and hope for authenticity. Could get the rose gold version but my collection is 100% white gold and that would be settling. RG picture only for illustration. Is there a chance it will come into regular collection? Is preloved a terrible choice?

Need some help (or enabling?!)

Been perusing online for a while as not near a H store. First time ever managed to bag a Lindy - just not sure if it's the shopping monster calling! It's a Lindy 26 in Lime Evercolor.

I love the Lindy - have the 26 in a baby blue Clemence and a 30 Noir Clemence. I'd been hoping the next one should be the impossible Mini Lindy in a blue or green. But now the Lime is in my cart and I don't know if I should go ahead with it!

I don't wear my best bags a lot in my profession. Palette is dark - but quite a number of my bags are bright, including a Longchamp Paprika Veau Foulonne that Iove and use daily.

I guess there is also the question of do we need more bags... Help!

Thought this was an interesting article during my morning news catch up. Particularly the part about some employees cutting corners and subsequently getting terminated. Makes me wonder how many might’ve made it to the stores by mistake.

Admittedly, most of my pieces I believe are made in France/Spain but I didn’t really think about quality of where they produced the bag before I read this article.

Do you check where your bag is manufactured before buying? If it’s from the US, are you rejecting?

Has anyone moved across the country? How did you manage to move your belongings and specifically, did you get your carry on bag inspected by TSA? I have read so many horror stories about valuables getting lost , and I'd be very uncomfortable getting my items touched and searched unnecessarily by TSA agents with the gloves that might have been contaminated with something unpleasant like drug.

I'm thinking of just shipping part of my items overnight and carry fews to avoid those unplsanat situations and worst case scenario, losing them at the airport.

For those who put all your valuables in one carry on bag, did it all go through without issues or second inspection? Do they touch my items, or can I volunteerily open up for them? (In that case, I have 0 problem)

I’m currently torn between two Hermes bags and would really appreciate your thoughts—especially from those who own either (or both!). Both are from the reseller route and in new condition.

A little background: I already have a Picotin 18 in Etoupe PHW, a black Herbag with GHW, and an Egee clutch in black with GHW. So these two styles would be new additions to my H collection.

Here are the contenders:

1. Constance 18 in Chevre Chamkilight Doré with Permabrass HW
What I love:

• It’s such a special color—created to commemorate the Paris 2024 Olympics. It has a beautiful metallic glow: subtle, yet unique and eye-catching.
• I love the idea of using this as an event or dinner bag—something fun, dressy, and rare.
• The C18 size is super cute and practical for evenings out.

My hesitation:

• Because of the metallic finish, I’m a bit worried about long-term wear. I remember reading here on TPF that metallic bags might show rubbing or dulling over time, but I haven’t seen many other posts or details about how metallic H leathers age. There’s just not much info out there yet.
• Also, is this color truly a limited release for the Olympics, or will it continue in production? One of my biggest concerns is regretting not snagging it now—especially if it gets discontinued and prices may go up later on.

2. Kelly 28 Sellier in Gold Epsom with GHW
What I love:

• The ultimate classic. Gold with GHW in Sellier is so timeless and elegant.
• It feels like something I could use much more frequently—day events, casual brunches, and even for travel.
• It’s structured, chic, and has been on my wishlist for a long time.

My hesitation:

• Since it’s in Epsom, I’ve heard the flap can be a bit stiff to open and close. I haven’t owned a Kelly before, so I’m not sure how much that would impact everyday use.
• Because this is such a classic combo, it might still be possible to get from the boutique (fingers crossed!). That’s my only pause with going the reseller route now.

I have a huge milestone coming up (finishing fellowship!) and am looking for opinions on a milestone present to myself. Torn between these:

I managed to get my hands on the Louis Vuitton Capitale from FW23—was over the moon since it’s such a rare and stunning piece. My SA from the NYC Fifth Avenue store reached out, and I ordered it right away. The excitement quickly faded the moment I unboxed it. What a letdown.
The bag arrived with no front protective stickers, slight scratches on the hardware, uneven glazing, fuzz buildup in the corners,and worst of all—the entire bottom monogram panel was misaligned. It was painfully obvious, and for a bag that costs almost $8,000, I just couldn’t justify keeping it. The packaging was also underwhelming—no tissue paper, no attention to presentation, just the bag dancing in a huge box.
It was giving display piece forgotten in storage energy, and definitely not rare piece from flagship boutique. They want to offload
Where’s LV quality control they don’t check the bag before sending it to clients and when I messaged the SA (who originally seemed thoughtful), her response was brief and cold—just two lines saying, “I see what you mean. Feel free to send it back if you’re not happy.” There wasn’t really any acknowledgment of the flaws or concern, which made the whole experience feel quite transactional.
I’m returning the bag through another LV boutique.
It’s been such a disappointing experience—especially coming from a flagship store. For those considering the Capitale or any rare piece, inspect everything thoroughly. Don’t let the rarity blind you from basic quality and service expectations.

I've been debating on whether to get the Louis Vuitton Keepall 45 or the Goyard Boston 45 duffle bags! I plan to use it as a personal item along with my carry on luggage. Has anyone had experience with either as a personal item? I actually do already own the Goyard Boston 50, but have been debating if I should get something different for a personal item sized bag.

If you look at the dimensions of the Boston 45 on the goyard website, it says that is 49cm in length (so seems like its closer to a 50 rather than a 45 lol) so I wonder if it would be considered too big to be a personal item? Wonder if anyone has used it for that purpose? I would fly mostly domestically here in the U.S. though so I know for the most part they are more lenient with luggage sizes.

I do like the Goyard Boston 50 I have but I don't like how it has absolutely zero interior pockets, at least the keepall has one interior zip pocket, and you dont have to purchase the strap seperately. Pro of the goyard though is that it at least comes with metal feet at the bottom.

With these crazy price increases though, the Boston 45 costs more than the price I paid for my boston 50 and its still an additional 1.5k over the keepall... so wondering if its worth it or just better to get the keepall? I know many use it for travel and haven't had issues.

Let me know what you guys think! I would consider the classic monogram eclipse keepall or the gray goyard duffle!

I have looked at other similar styles, but I can't find this exact coat.
Others just dont "quite" have the exact appeal of this particular Chloe coat (the length, the spacing of the buttons, the lapel shape and size).
Alas, I cannot find this darn thing anywhere? Any advice is welcome to either find it or to get over it!
