My SA said they are receiving one of the bags that I am looking for, but they don't know when they will receiving it. Is there a pattern on which days the shipments come in? Do boutiques receive shipments on Saturdays and Sundays, or is it mostly on weekdays?
Or should I just check with them daily? Will checking with them twice a day be too much? They said their store doesn't do waitlist, so it would be first come first served. I do not want to miss the bag if it comes in and my SA is too busy to check it.

I would appreciate any thoughts on best practice.

I’ve been searching for a true red day to night crossbody bag for what seems like forever. I found this new Jil Sander medium red crossbody bag for a very good price and it ticks a lot of boxes. It’s true red, can fit my double glasses case (sunglasses + reading glasses) or a small umbrella, is minimalist, and the strap is a good crossbody length. On the other hand, I wish it had silver hardware, a wider strap, and was a slightly deeper red. I think I could get a preloved excellent condition Celine Trio for the price I paid for this, which would have a slightly sleeker/evening-appropriate look but would not hold my glasses case or umbrella. Thoughts? And/or other bag ideas? I’d like to keep this under $750 if possible, and this bag meets that price point. The quality does seem to be excellent, and the leather and shape remind me of my Celine Box. TIA!

With everything getting so much more expensive these days, I reflected on many of my past purchases. I looked at my shoe collection (which is not huge), and realized how much money I had wasted. I am not a heels person. Most of my shoes are flats because that's what works for me.

I finally came to the realization that...
My $200-something sneakers and less than $200 flats are more comfortable than my $700-something high-end flats. No more patent leather flats for me. I'll be selling two pairs of high-end flats to a consignment store.

Question: Are your most expensive shoes really the most comfortable ones? What is your most comfortable pair of shoes? (let's not count slippers or shoes for special occasions - I mean everyday shoes that you wear regularly).

There’s a lot of discussion about how ridiculous Chanel’s prices are these days, but are they really?

Hear me out.

A medium Lady Dior is $6100 USD.
A medium Fendi Peekaboo is $5600.
A YSL Icare tote is $4900.
Bottega Veneta Jodie is $4100 and the medium Cabat is $9100.
Even Gucci is up there these days with the Blondie at $3600.
And we all know about Hermes pricing.

So again, I ask, are we being unfair by being so hard on Chanel? Yes, ALL high-end bags are crazy-expensive, and Chanel is top tier, so I guess what I’m saying is that it makes some sort of sense when you compare their prices to other luxury bag prices.

Am I wrong? What do you think?
(p.s. I’m by no means saying that I’m happy about any of it!!)

Looking for recommendations for a wallet:
- Definitely needs to have an outer slip pocket. I know it sounds trivial but I didn't realize how much I needed that extra compartment that I can easily access until I switched to a wallet without one
- prefer a long zip wallet but will consider a long flap or bifold/trifold that I can store unfolded cash in
- Looking for higher end brand, up to USD $1K if possible, also open to brands like Mulberry, Furla.
- nice soft leather would be a bonus but but fine with canvas

I thought this might be fun to ask. I buy pre-loved bags so the answers could be colors from any season. I already have and love: Vert Bosphore (in clemence), Vert Amande (in epsom and negonda), Rouge Grenat (in clemence), Bleu Encre (in clemence), and Bleu Indigo (in clemence).
I tend to go for colors that are not super bright but that have a rich saturation. I also overwhelmingly seem to prefer cooler tones. I have had my colors done and am a winter, if that helps anyone who is familiar with the House of Colour method . So, which Hermes colors do you think I would like and am missing?

Hi everyone! I'm just getting my first Speedy now in 2023 I wasn't sure about what size I should get and was looking everywhere for reviews and photos to understand which sizes fit a laptop. Since I wasn't able to find this information I thought I'll start a thread and share my experience and photos.
Speedy 30 - surprisingly and contrary to all the reviews I've seen, I was able to fit my 2021 edition 13-inch MacBook Air! It's not comfortable by any means and I wouldn't recommend doing it on a regular basis as it strains the canvas, but it does fit and the zipper closes with no issues. I put it vertically first to get past the zipped opening and turned it sideways once the laptop was already inside the speedy. To take it out, you need to first turn it to a vertical position inside the bag and then you can pull it out. Overall it's a tight fit with no space left on the sides (the edges of the laptop are touching the lining). Another option is to carry a laptop vertically, it sticks out at the top a little bit. It's not an ideal look, but would work for me if I had to carry it very occasionally and didn't have another bag. Attaching photos with the laptop in. I think Speedy 30 works if you need to carry a laptop very rarely and prefer to have a smaller bag.
Speedy 35 - 2021 edition 13-inch MacBook Air fits comfortably with some space left on both sides. Similar to Speedy 30, it doesn't get passed the zipper horizontally, you need to slant the laptop slightly to put it inside. I wanted a bag for travel and sometimes I need to carry my laptop on flights, so I think I'll keep Speedy 35. I like size 30 better as an everyday bag, but I think 35 will better suit my travel needs. I prefer Speedy 30 look for a city bag purpose, it looks more put together on my frame (5'4, size M for reference) and now I'm thinking I should get a 30 too for the days I need to be out and about with a little more stuff than I normally carry.

Hi all, I’d love some advice! I’m thinking of buying a bag I’ve eyed up for ages, but never pulled the trigger. It has the empty circle on the Louis Vuitton internal label indicating an employee purchase. It’s a good price but I’m worried about having an employee purchased bag as I do sometimes sell on bags if I don’t use them or fall out of love with them. Does anyone have any advice on such purchases? Any advice greatly appreciated!

I was shown a lamb skin mini rectangle in store today which I was told was caramel. It certainly looked like caramel as it appeared to be the same colour as my 22. However, the label said dark beige. When I questioned the SA she said that’s how Chanel mark the labels for caramel - they call it dark beige. Is this true? So does this mean in the current collection dark beige and caramel are the same? Or are they two different colours that are just incredibly similar and the SA was lying lol

Hi all! Really hope someone can help, as I’m not getting very far with Loewe customer service. I have the black calfskin leather puzzle bag in small. It’s so beautiful, but I hate the shoulder strap it’s the anagram logo strap and it’s too garish and also isn’t adjustable and because of this, I’ve hardly used the bag. I know Loewe sell many different straps online but I specifically want black, plain leather with gold hardware like the one that comes with the new Howl collection, does anyone know how I get hold of this strap? It seems crazy that you can buy a simple black strap with gold?! Thanks in advance xx

Hi everyone! I’ve been bitten by the jewelry bug and after buying my Cartier D’Amour necklace, next I’d like to buy myself a right hand ring.

I’m a single mom and have been divorced 4 years now, and haven’t worn a ring since my divorce. I think I finally healed enough that I’d like to start dating, so I don’t want to wear a ring that could be interpreted as me being coupled.

My dilemma is that I really prefer to wear rings on my ring finger. I’m in the US, so I will wear the ring I buy on my right hand. But so many styles are used (or could be interpreted) as wedding bands—think the Cartier Love, Bvlgari Bzero, Chanel Coco Crush, Chaumet Bee my Love, even the Tiffany knot.

Does anyone have suggestions for what style of ring I could wear on my right ring finger that is suitable for everyday use and my casual lifestyle (so no big statement ring), but that doesn’t look like a promise or wedding ring? Maybe the Cartier JUC ring (but I’m concerned about its comfort)? Any other suggestions? Or do I give up the idea of ring finger for now and just wear whatever I like on my middle finger, even though I don’t find it as flattering on me?

I saw this cute heart pendant in necklace at tj maxx price was $119 and regular price it said $179… it says 14k gold and has some weird series of either letters or numbers that I can’t decipher.

So thing is I showed my husband and I said I liked this one because it reminds me of the Tiffany EP bean necklace…

He said if I would rather have the bean necklace I can order it.

So here’s my dilemma. Does this heart pendant looks “14k gold authentic” and also does it look good for its price or I should return it and go for the EP 6.5mm yellow gold bead necklace? I’m also wondering if this heart pendant is about the same size as the bean 6.5mm.

I’m looking to add a Lily to my collection. I was thinking of getting the regular sized lily in black glossy goat and gold but have now seen the mini! I love the style of the Lily with the chain strap and classic style.

I would be using the bag mainly at the weekend, going out and if I need to pop to the shop.

I’m definitely a fan of vintage Coach bags - wonderful leather, classic designs, right up my alley. But the number of fakes out there can be super frustrating, and prices have increased to often more than I’m willing to pay for a used bag.

So, anyone have any recs? Brands or bags with similar quality leather, or similar designs, or both?

Seems like similar design is easier to find. There was the Coach Originals collection, of course. I also found this suspiciously familiar looking bag from Spartina449, and this and this from Jack Georges, but I don’t have any personal experience with those brands and they’re not offering much in the way of colors.

Leather quality is another thing entirely. There are plenty of brands that still use full grain leather for their bags, but I’ve yet to run across anything that has quite the same quality and texture as old school Coach leather.

So, any recommendations for new bags with old school vibes?

Please help! I carried this bag for one day and used it to travel to California. Bought it brand new from the store. It was perfect and now there at least one obvious loose thread. I find it hard to believe this is normal? Any advice would be great! Thank you!
