Where are my classic girlies at? Help me pick my next bag!

Hi everyone!

I’m a very basic/classic girly and my birthday is coming up so I’m trying to be mindful of my next bag purchase.

My current Chanel bag collection:
- WOC red lambskin silver hw
- 19 small black lambskin silver hw lead (tri-color hw)
- Classic flap medium black caviar silver hw
- Classic flap rectangle mini black lambskin light gold hw

My wish list:
- Classic flap in small or medium caviar and silver hw in either beige or white
- Classic flap rectangle mini lambskin with light gold hw (unless they release silver or so black) in beige or white

It seems like beige caviar small or medium flaps with silver hw will be easiest to come by, while it seems they don’t make beige minis currently and white is very hard to come by. Anyone have beige or white minis? How are they to take care of given the light color and lambskin only options in the minis?

Thanks everyone!

How to remove stain?

The PurseForum requests that only members with an extensive knowledge of the brand and authenticating who have over 500 posts participate as authenticators in this AT thread. The moderators reserve the right to remove authentications that do not meet these requirements.

READ THESE RULES BEFORE POSTING A REQUEST

This is a free service. Our authenticators are volunteers providing their opinions, and who desire to keep counterfeiters and dishonest sellers from profiting from their trade, and to help buyers find authentic items. Authenticators are not required to answer all posts and, for various reasons, some may not be answered.

It is the preference of the authenticators on this thread not to give authentication to members who buy and resell bags. It is also the preference of the authenticators to give authentication to members who post in a range of threads, not just requesting free authentication for designer items. If your request is not answered here, for whatever reasons, professional authentication services are available outside of PF.

1. Do a SEARCH and check if the item has been reviewed by one of the authenticators before posting a request. Searches can be done via the seller name or by auction/listing number - add * to the beginning and end of the number (eg. *12345678*).

2. You MUST use the format below when requesting for authentication for auctions or non-auctions:

Format to use for an auction item:

Item Name:
Item Number:
Seller ID:
Link: (please make sure link works after you post)

Format to use for non-auction item:

Item Name (if you know it):
Link (if available):sad:please make sure link works after you post)
Photos: (attach using the paperclip at the top of the message box or upload to photobucket.com and post the links)

3. All requests must have clear photos (either in listing and/or provided by member requesting the authentication). This will help expedite authentications. Please ask the seller/use the macro setting on your digi (little flower). If you cannot see the details yourself, neither can we.

At minimum, pics MUST include:
- all exterior
- interior
- interior Burberry, made in, and serial stamps/tags
- engraving on hardware

If the listing or your request does not have the required pics, it will NOT be reviewed. That means if you have not received a response, please check your original posting to ensure all information and pics are present.

Authenticators are not required to answer every request, and it is their right to ignore a request that is not in the proper format.

4. Do NOT make more than 3 requests per post.

5. Please wait at least 24 hours before bumping your request.
Search by seller or item # to ensure that it has not been reviewed (see rule 1). If the auction is ending soon, you may say so in your comments. Remember, we are just like you, and get on tPF when we have time so please be patient.

6. To ensure that additional pics requested are seen by the authenticators, quote or provide a link to your original request and response. Use the quote feature or copy and paste the url. Failure to do do may result in your query not being answered. Please utilize the quote feature when responding directly to another post.

7. Comments on price and/or condition are NOT permitted.

8. Do NOT PM an authenticator or moderator to request authentication.
Any and all such requests must be posted in this thread.

9. Should one of your items be questioned in this thread, you are welcome to provide additional pictures or materials supporting its authenticity.

10. Do NOT handle your disputes with other members in this thread. Take your differences to Private Message or just use the REPORT function to alert the mods, and let them handle it from there. In the meantime, just ignore the poster until a Mod can intervene. Failure to do so can result in banning. Always be respectful when you post and treat others as you expect to be treated. Hi all, I just recently ordered a secondhand Burberry tote made of coated canvas, but there’s this massive orange stain! How can I remove it? Thank you all in advance

Puffer Wear & Tear

Hi! I’m planning to buy the small puffer in dark beige w/ ghw (fell in love with this color combo) but am super worried about wear and tear on such a light lambskin, especially color transfer and corner wear. Does anyone own this bag in a lighter color and can speak to how it wears over time, or offer tips for keeping it in good condition? Just nervous to pull the trigger.

I thought I didn’t like this bag until I tried it on……

Ever since this bag was released I thought I didn’t like/want it until I tried it on the other day!??!!! On Friday I purchased the Black Deauville in Medium size (just posted a thread on that one) and then saw the 22 small size in front of me on the mannequin and thought why not, let’s give it a try! Now I think I like it?! Thoughts on the 22? 22 bag owners are you still loving your bag?

You never know what, who, where ...

Last evening I was at our smallish town's annual Community Days/Fourth of July/Carnival event. Lots of people, lots of bad-for-you-but-tastes-great food, just a regular mix of middle America-type stuff.

While sitting watching the Tilt-O-Whirl and hearing the goat and ducks at the petting zoo area, a small group of people strolled by, eating corn dogs or whatever and nothing would have made me look twice at them except the guy of the group was wearing an orange Goyard St Louis tote on his shoulder. It looked like it had been used very well, a corner looked a bit rough. He was definitely no "fashion plate"--baggy cargo shorts, baggy t-shirt, flip flops but he was sporting that orange tote. I almost fell off the bench I was on, I've never seen a Goyard anything in the wild, especially in my town.

The friend I was with said maybe he got it at a Goodwill or Salvation Army store but I just knew that guy knew what he had. Kudos to "not-a-fashion-plate", but now I want one too! An orange one!

Tracking down a VCA necklace

Hello! Apologies if this has been answered but I cannot seem to find it. I was watching a home improvement show on Youtube and I am certain I spotted a VCA necklace. It is not on the screen that long so I cannot discern if its a vintage alhambra or pure alhambra. It only appears around the 41:14 mark (the video is 41:59 minutes long). I've tried doing a screen grab then Google search however because it a capture of a video I am not getting useful hits.

Can anyone help me identify this? My brain says its a multi size Onyx, Pure Alhambra with large MOP motifs. I've attached my attempt at a screen capture.

The necklace appears at the 41:14 mark. "Love it or List It Joe and Dwayne"

Inexpensive twillies for new white bag

Now that I have a nice clean white top handle bag I'm wondering if I should use twillies to protect the handles especially since I tend to get sweaty.
If yes, do the twillies need to be totally white to avoid color transfer?
Where do you recommend I look for inexpensive twillies ( if on Amazon any particular seller)?
Don't think I want super slippery but something pretty and durable and easy to wash.
Thanks

I need help deciding…

Hi ladies,

So I’m running into a dilemma. I already have the 2 butterflies mop necklace in rose gold so I bought the lucky spring mop earrings to “match”, metal and stone, since I’m not a matchy/matchy person so having 3 butterflies in a small area is too much for me. Now I’m thinking of adding the 16 motif rose gold sweet hammered necklace and I’m just wondering if it’s too much designs going on if I wear both necklaces layered with the lucky spring earrings. Or should I buy another pair of sweet or vintage rose gold hammered earrings to match the necklace which I don’t prefer since there are so many other things that are still on my wishlist. What do you all think? Is it too much wearing 3 different collections or it’s okay since they are all in rose gold?

Dana Saakena …something new and exciting

Hello all, I have been eyeing the Loewe puzzle for a while, it’s so cool. But I also lust after smooth moulded Lemaire bags.
But I wasn’t expecting the new and emerging designer Dana Saakena to make something jump out at me like this beauty.
Moulded, structural, architectural, very pretty. Stick with it or follow the Loewe crowd? What do you think? Have you found anything new and niche revetments? Please show me

Need help deciding which bag to buy?!

Hi All! I’m travelling to London soon and want to use this chance to buy a bag. I can’t decide which one! I am looking for a good quality leather bag that can serve as a day time to night time bag if need be, so has to be small. I have a budget of around $5000, but I may even try to buy two bags with that.

The mini Jodie ( in white has been on my mind forever) but I know that Color transfer can be a pain for that.
Was thinking of maybe the Celine triomphe or box bag in brown, but think it might not be dressy enough for night time .
The fendi first in a neutral Color , but I’m not sure if that can be an everyday daytime bag

Basically I would love to buy all of them, but I can’t decide what would be best.
Would love your input or suggestions to any other bags that would fit the criteria! Thankss
