hi! i am a young adult looking to buy a city bag because i think they are so beautiful and full of personality. i’ve seen people online talk about how they’ve scored city bags for as little as ~$100 USD, whether that be online or at a flea market in japan. however, whenever i look on ebay, poshmark, etc. it’s almost always nearly $1000 for a bag that’s not in a condition that warrants $1000. even when i visited a secondhand store in harajuku, tokyo, a few weeks ago, i saw this beautiful teal bag that wasn’t really in “good” condition for $1300. i couldn’t believe it!!! i’ve been in secondhand stores in korea as well, and while they do have somewhat more sound prices for their bags, it’s usually not in the color or size i’m searching for, and i question the authenticity of them as well since korea does not really have a strict counterfeit law like japan.

i understand the current state of the economy is not so well right now, but has the resale market always been like this? or is it that the bag is just trending again online (i.e., tiktok) that prices have risen with demand? how long should i wait if i want to get a good deal? what online platform would be best to find the best deal for something authentic and not scammy? ebay? a japanese proxy site like buyee? this is my first time venturing into the vintage bag world, so i fear getting scammed.

I was browsing around on the H site and something caught my eye. It was the Charniere To Go Pouch! It's so pretty and way better than the KTG or CTG in my opinion. I wish I would've waited. I love the removable short strap. Does anyone have this?

Sold an bag and a zero feedback brand new account told me it's fake. No need to ask about the bag because I purchased it retail and know it's genuine so not asking about that.

But this buyer is claiming it's fake because she scanned the bag with an RFID reader and it says "Shanghai microelectronics". I asked her for a photo of this chip and she said you can't see the chip, it's hidden inside.

Googled around an apparently a few bags like Gucci recently started putting RFID chips but found absolutely nothing about Saint Laurent.

Just common sense, if a bag was a dupe why even hide a chip that you can't see and if someone decides to scan it it'll just reveal it's a dupe🤔🤔

I really wanted the white/mono sneakerina but grew impatient for them to come into stock so on the weekend I ordered the royal blue (canvas) pair. This morning I got notice that the white came into stock...so I ordered those. Is two pair too many? Which do I return? I'm trying to justify both because canvas vs leather...

How are these standing up? Has anyone had for a few seasons? I feel like the will go with anything and swaying towards keeping both. And, I am a across the board size 8 and size 37 in these fit me best.

My wife's Patek Philippe Annual Calendar was stolen off her during a stay at the emergency room in Northwell Greenwich Village Hospital on May 21. We have investigations ongoing with the police department and hospital (and have been calling local pawns), but wanted to send out the information to other watch collectors to see if the item has been spotted on the secondary market.

Here's the key info for the watch:

In addition to being valuable, the watch holds great sentimental value to my wife, and we are trying to flood every channel possible to ensure that it is caught if someone tries to sell. Open and grateful to suggestions for anything else we can do beyond submitting the lost/stolen property report to the NYPD and Patek.

I've attached a picture of the watch here. It's an Annual Calendar watch with a dark leather wristband, gold case/numbers/hands, and a dark brown/black face with 2 complications.

Thank you in advance for any advice. I was recently gifted a Triomphe in natural calfskin by my dear husband. I loved the color and know it is a delicate material. Does anyone own a Celine in this material and can share care and maintenance? They included a kit consisting of a sponge, buffing cloth, and cream and said that will address light scratches.

I really liked the beat bag for multiple reasons... no loud obvious C for one. Its there but because its sitting sideways its kind of hidden as just the design of the buckle. Im not a fan of the big obvious C of the tabby etc. Also, I loved that it had three different strap options included. The chain, the top handle and cross body and all three were mix n match and removable individually. My only beef was the size of the 18 barely fits my S24 Ultra (and I mean its a squeeze with the thinnest case possible). The next size up was a 25cm or 26cm I think and it wasnt available here locally. A 23cm would have been better than 18cm.

Pic for reference.... my night and day twins LOL. Yes I got it in both the chalk / beige AND the truffle / black and both have their matching card holders as well. Good for when I just need my mobile and cards and a few other small items. In the pic I had added a 10cm extender on the chain that matches perfectly with the beats own chain so it would fit as a shoulder bag. The extender was an unbranded thing from Amazon.

Though I gravitate mostly to Givenchy, Versace, etc now, I do still use a few Coach bags now and then when I want to be more carefree. Just wondering if any similar designs are on the horizon...

I also liked the Dreamer for the same reason with the no obvious logo or huge in your face C.

I first saw this bag last winter when I was browsing Burberry and lusting over their coats lol. At the time the mini peg was priced at approx US$1536 inclusive of taxes (converted from my local currency for ease of reading). It was the first Burberry bag I’d ever liked but I declined to buy it because I thought it was a bit too expensive for a Burberry bag… plus I’d spent a lot of money on coats already at that point

I went back and visited the bag twice more over the months but couldn’t bring myself to pull the trigger at that price point… and then my Burberry SA messaged me to tell me that the bag had been marked down at their sale, and was I interested? I asked her the price - and it was literally 50% off! $768 inclusive of taxes! I couldn’t plunk my money down fast enough

I love her She’s so cute. The pictures are kinda zoomed in but shes smaller than the pics make you think (https://uk.burberry.com/mini-peg-duffle-bag-p80820421 if it helps to see the official pics and stats). I adore the peg and the brushed finish. It’s super luxurious - the hardware is weighty but the bag itself is capacious despite the size, and extremely lightweight to boot!

She’s a fun casual day bag and I love her to death already can’t wait for fall so I can carry her out and about!

I really don’t know why the world is sleeping on Burberry bags as far as quality goes - I will say though that the styles usually don’t grab me but this feels more like a return to form as compared to some of what they’ve had in stores for the last few years. The colour is just fall perfection (even if it’s peak summer still). Don’t know if I’d buy another Burberry bag at any point, but if they come up with more designs like these you’d have to pry them from my hands!

I am currently trying to upgrade my shoe closet with high quality, low key brands. I own many of the traditional designer brand shoes and they always end up getting beat up and broken apart (I am guilty of clumsy and careless - ha), so now I am trying to give some lesser known more lowkey contemporary type of shoe brands a chance. Looking for pumps/heels. Any recommendations?

I just got a new trench from
Burberry and my new coat has left side button over the right. It is really strange. I have several trenches from Burberry and they button with right iver side in top. I thought I got nen's coat by mistake but the size is women's - UK8, and the picture on the website portrays a woman wearing it and left side is over the right...

I also saw another woman's burberry coat with left over the right. Is that the new thing?? I was always under the impression women's coats and shirts always button with right side on top

I just bought the mini Beluga bag in white. I was in between the Petit Flot and the mini Beluga. I choose the Mini Beluga because it was crossbody AND top handle, while the Petit Flot was just crossbody.

Now this has come out. Has anyone seen this IRL yet? Im kinda frustrated that I bought the Beluga now that this has come out. When I was talking to my CA & specifically asked if there was anything new coming out in the next couple weeks & he said the company doesn't really tell them anything until the day before. I bought this off of The Real Real for $9400 (what a steal) and it arrived today. It is the small size which is perfect because I have tiny wrists. The thing that I question is that the head and tail do not overlap as much as I see in this forum and the tail sticks up a bit. Not sure if it is stretched out but looks to be in the right shape when not on my wrist. Is this a problem of the bracelet being stretched out ? Would you return?

Hi everyone! Long time lurker. I was gifted this Gucci mini Ophidia shoulder bag. My parents bought it from Gucci Rome (GUCCI La Rinascente Roma Tritone). But when I look at the Gucci product image on their website, it looks different! Most notably the GG hardware. I’m just really hoping this is an updated version of this bag and that they didn’t get scammed lol. Pictures attached.
