would love to know if anyone has any success appealing quality issues in a Celine purse. I was shopping for a very scratch resistant purse, I made a big deal about this to the SA, and the SA insisted again and again the Heloise grained leather would hold up.
Well, low and behold... the first time I took it out, less than two days after I got it, I wore this purse outside for TEN MINUTES, with normal clothes (just jeans and a sweater), and scratches and peeling immediately started. See photos. I have no idea from what. The only possibility is the little hardware they put on jeans or my nails (which are cut down to the stubs since I rock climb). This side of the bag was facing me, so I couldn't have scraped a wall or anything like that.
So far, Celine doesn't want to stand by the quality, and they say I mismanaged handling the purse. Then, they had the audacity to say they could send it for spa treatment for $250 on my own dime! I own multiple designer purses across brands, and I have never had an issue with a purse like this before.
Has anyone had any success appealing issues like this with Celine? I would just like a refund. I have a history with Celine and have bought purses before with no issues. But they don't seem like they want to stand by their word and the quality they claimed.
If Celine refuses, has anyone done a charge back with their credit card under the causes of misdescribed and/or defective product? As far as I can see, either this purse is defective, or they outright misled me during the sale.
