Looking to buy my first vintage Chanel bag! Came across this Diana bag through an Instagram seller for $4,500 USD. It would be shipped from Japan & includes serial sticker, guarantee card, care booklet, dust bag, box & a Zeko certificate of authentication.

Is this a good find/price? Also wondering how this bag holds up for weekly use? (I.e. wear it often on weekends)

Some of you may remember a thread I started a few weeks ago asking for advice on whether to cancel a bracelet order for the 5 motif blue agate I ordered by mistake or keep the order.
In the end I cancelled it and decided to visit VCA during a planned trip to Switzerland as I wanted to see it in person before buying and silently also hoped for a hammered or Guilloche bracelet.

Shortly before the price increase, a 6 motif hammered bracelet appeared in the e- boutique. I had never seen it there before and decided to order it as getting a 5 motif in a store would be a gamble and I also have no store close. Another reason was that the 6 motif is rose gold, which I prefer, and also the length would be fine without shortening.

And then the wait began, the order on the website said it was supposed to arrive on 31 May.

It didn't though, no shipping confirmation and no other message from VCA. So I called them to learn they have a new system and the order will take 5-7 working days to be shipped as they are now looking for the item in other locations.
After checking the e-mail I had received after ordering I saw it stated 5-7 days as well, but also 31 May...
I found it confusing but trusted the SA and waited patiently.

10 days passed without anything happening.
I sent an e-mail to CS asking when I could expect shipping. Another two days passed with no reply, so I called CS. Was told again, new system in place but they would check why it took so long, maybe a system issue, and get back to my, probably until late afternoon the same day.

No reply from VCA that day, not the next day, not the day after the next day. I called CS again, already thinking, I will never receive this, something went wrong, and I was slightly annoyed that they didn't get back to me.

I was told again, new system, several customers had similar issues, they will check again and explained that they had not called me yet as they had also not heard back from the departement concerned.

At that point, I decided I will try to forget about this and keep my expectations low. Thankfully I had selected pay later and Klarna usually only charges once the seller ships the item, so I was not worried.
We had also cancelled our plans to visit Switzerland due to the floods in the southern parts of Germany and I thought, well, then maybe I am not supposed to get a VCA bracelet right now.

VCA sent me an e-mail last week apologizing and saying they had technical issues and my bracelet is supposed to ship around 25 June.

And to my surprise, I received a shipping confirmation yesterday and today, exactly four weeks after placing the order, I have finally received it

It was well worth the wait, the packaging is beautiful and so is the bracelet.
I am also pleasently surprised that they added a cleaning set.

here's just a random question I'm musing about right now: Do you recall which bags LV has made over the years with buckled handheld straps, making them adjustable and potentially shoulder carry??

Here's the ones I can think of: Bucket Bag PM, Summit Drive Vernis, Berkeley in Ebène, Tivoli GM (that's a ginormous one, remember at some time having one). Do you know of any others?

Hi all. I am trying to repair the toe caps on my second-hand Brixtons. I believe the color is Dusty Pink, and trying to match has been an epic failure. My local shoe guy usually just repaints the entire shoe a similar, but never close enough, color. I'm pretty good with touching up, and blending in, but I just can't get the color right... that's where I struggle. So far, I have applied Saphir Renovatrice that is pretty close, but now I need to apply paint to blend into the rest of the shoe. Maybe I'm being a perfectionist, but I just can't get the color right. Photo shoes the shoe before I cleaned the area, prepped it and applied the renovatrice. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I started collect designer bags when I was 20. I started out with classic LV canvas, then leather- and last exotics.

I have over 250 bags, all exotic. I store them all in one room, good air and clean. All of them neatly in box or dustbag. I have OCD deluxe.

Half year ago I was doing the regular collection cleaning.
I found a carpet beetle larvae, and his shells.


THIS freaked me out. I have invested so much in this collection and the idea of them getting eaten is driving me insane. I have been vacuuming and cleaning for 2 weeks straight. Yesterday I found 2 more .

Now, there were no damage on either dust bags or bags. I dont even think they eat bags, but I am going crazy. Does anyone have experience with these? Why do they enjoy crawling inside my lanvin?

I have a pair of sweet Alhambra MOP studs and wanted to get a MOP pendant to go with them. Thought I was set on getting a sweet Alhambra pendant but they didn’t have it so I tried on the sweet butterflies pendant and to my surprise, found it to be pretty cute and complemented the studs nicely. I don’t like butterflies so I never even considered it an option.

Should I get the sweet Alhambra to match my studs and make it a set (is it too “matchy matchy”?) or should I get the sweet butterflies for a different look and not be matchy matchy? Is the sweet butterfly motif larger than the sweet Alhambra? Thanks!

I was visiting Dublin, Ireland for two days (from my holiday in Amsterdam) and decided to say hello to my favorite CA who had recently moved from Vuitton to Dior. He has been my go-to yearly for the past several years at LV.

All I wanted was a hug and small chat and I ended up walking out with this beauty:



I had been wanting a medium or large book tote for years, but I didn’t feel I could pull off any of the fabrics nor did I think they were my style. I never thought I would in fall so much with the denim fabric. It is absolutely gorgeous. The ombré effect is beautiful.

I also love that it is much more casual and feels much more masculine, which is what I wanted.

It is with sadness that we have learned that @hermeslady Lorraine passed away on June 19th, 2024 after a long battle with illness. Lorraine was an early TPF O.G. and was always so generous to share her vast H knowledge with the community.

Please join me in expressing our condolences to her family and loved ones. She will be greatly missed.

I’ve just come across this new style mini Marmont. Not sure how long it’s been around. Looks to be a more useful size than the supermini and has a removable strap and card holder making it more versatile than the original mini Marmont. anyone bought this and have any feedback on it?

My black Gucci rubber sandals from 2022 are still in great shape! Comfortable and I wear them a lot. But they have lost their lovely shine and the tops are quite dull (except when they're wet). I was wondering if anyone else has successfully refreshed theirs. Maybe with baby oil or another product?

Do you happen to know if a size 39 EU classic black leather high heel dress pump 3 - 4 inch is a true size 9M US or do these fit smaller like a 8.5M US or a full size down like an 8M US? What has been your experience in the sizing?

I am considering a B35 Togo in OP GHW but worried it will be too ”loud” on the wintery streets of my Scandinavian home land where most of the people wear dark clothes and bags..
I never wear black. My winter outfit consists of navy jeans, white/beige pullover and beige coat. Even though I am not the biggest fan of LV (sorry! LV lovers!) but I use a monogram LV bag just bc it doesn’t gain attention..
Will I be an ”exclamation point” on the streets with that bag? 🙈

Recently got my first danse. Love the bag but after wearing it for a bit, I noticed mine has a seam across the strap, like the cow was too petite to make the long strap. Wondering if anyone else has this on their danse or if I just got a funky one?

I would like to add a red cord bracelet and am debating between the Dinh Van Le Cube Diamant cord bracelet and the Messika Move Uno cord bracelet. I am not sure if I can even get the Dinh Van Le Cube bracelet with the red chord shipped to the US since it's not showing on their website. I have only been able to find it in the black cord from a vendor in the US.

In addition, I am considering adding the Gigi Clozeau classic bracelet in either turquoise or black. I feel like red and turquoise is so pretty for a summer vibe, but black is more classic and can be worn all year around. To make it even more confusing Gigi has turquoise and turquoise green available 🙈🙈

Please let me know your thoughts and if you have any experience with stacking any of these bracelets with other bangles! And please post your own summer stacks for inspo 🌞

Does anyone find the sizing with the thick clasp on the DJ 36 a bit hard for it to conform to the wrist? I have a pretty small wrist (14 cm & 14.5 cm at the bone) & had several links taken out (I think 8) & it felt like a good size in the store but now wearing it 2 days later, it feels a bit loose. Maybe b/c it was super hot the day I had it sized? I also tried on a DJ 31 & it seemed like the super jubilee hidden clasp conformed to the wrist better than this thicker one? I still love the watch so I'll deal with it LOL but was just wondering if anyone else experiences the same thing? Maybe I just need to get used to it? Thx!

I’m in a bit of a dilemma and would like your opinion ladies!

Yellow diamond - photo is of a gorgeous Tiffany yellow diamond - something similar but custom made and with one less halo and clean band


Option 2
Classic oval solitaire - this was my initial preference but seems like everyone has one nowadays!

Option 3
Classic oval solitaire with halo - same as above, a bit more sparkly (the photo is gold but I want platinum)


Also do any of you have yellow diamonds/considered getting one? My fear is that it would be difficult to match on occasions and I might regret not getting something more traditional. My style is more classic with investment pieces (I work in a corporate environment in NYC) but i also feel like wearing the same ring as everyone is not me.

Hi everyone! I am looking for some guidance. An item that has long been on my wishlist is the Serpenti watch, I’ve started shopping around and I would love opinions on which one to get. I have a lot of yellow gold and white gold/platinum jewelry. I have a good friend who’s wanting to sell her very gently preowned 2-tone rose gold and stainless steel, she knows I’ve been wanting this watch and she would give me a pretty fabulous deal or I could buy the stainless steel version new. My question is, would rose gold go okay with my current yellow gold jewelry? I don’t own any rose gold nor do I see myself owning any other rose gold pieces. Or is the stainless steel a better bet? Obviously 2-tone yellow gold would be perfect but not in my budget. If anyone has photos of mixing jewelry with their Serpenti watches I would love to see them. Thanks so much!

I was thinking I can get another RG small JUC with diamonds to pair OR since my collection has kind of been all over the place, if I stack with with WG love small with 6 diamonds will it make it more versatile since now I’ll look like I have a 2 tone bracelet?

Hey everyone, I’m looking for a day / work appropriate option to cover up bronzish discolouration below my brow bone.

I have tried everything everyone at Sephora has recommended. UD eyelid primer, NARS concealer etc. the only things that work well are a MAC bronze eye shadow which is a little sparkly for work and a Smashbox cream eye shadow which stays like nobody’s business but, of course, has been discontinued.

Does anyone have any brilliant thoughts or options to recommend? Open to anything and appreciate it. I have hooded eyes so lighter is better but really, I’ll try anything. I guess I have greasy eyelids because nothing stays. It either disappears or creases.
